Something I just learned. You don't have to wait for text or notice in mail for case number if your check is cashed first. You go to your bank website and see the back of the check (photo) which will have the case number on it. Just wanted to share in case someone is crazy like me and dont like to wait until text or mail. It will be super helpful to those who dont file e notification and their NOA1 get lost or something

Hey guys quick question, I have all of my copies of Birth Certificates, passport data page, visa data page, marriage certificate, divorced decree for my husband and I, but based on my research on USCIS website I only see that the Divorce decree needs to be certified. Is there any other documents listed above that need to be certified? I don’t want to make any mistakes and delay my green card. Thanks guys

Any document needs to be in english and translated by a professional translator which will have a certify page saying that the translator is competent in both languages other than that you are good! passport doesn't need translation unless it doesn't have english translation. Long story short yes translation need to be certified if that applies to you. For passport, Include a copy of the signature page, photo and information page(s), and page showing expiration date. Include a copy of all pages containing entry and exit stamps and/or U.S. Visas.

Thank you much, I've visited the USCIS link but I'm still super confused I just want to get it right to avoid my application being rejected.

    Ok then.

     Parent (you): i-130 $535 - i-485  $1,225

daughter: i-130 $535 - i-485 $750 ( because she is filling with you if two separate packages then $1,140)

  4. Hello,

You need a separate checks for I-130 and I-485, so your daughter and you will need 4 checks total. https://www.uscis.gov/fees this is how to write the check. Also, I-693 is only good for two years from the day the doctor sign. You eventually might need a new one or maybe not ( just a heads up). Also make sure you pay the total fee of biometrics and form fee together you only need 4 TOTAL CHECKS . Also, consult  https://www.uscis.gov/i-485 filing fee to see how much.

Guys unless you literally are either a lawyer and can give advice or have personally experienced this do you mind if we dont guess anymore on it until I talk to the lawyers? I do appreciate your help though!

I agree with you on that fact that a conviction is what matter. My husband and I have filed the I-130 and I-485 ( I am here in F-1) two weeks ago. My husband had AWA charges but non-AWA conviction. We consulted and attorney and they have done an extensive research and concluded a higher chance of him falling under AWA than not. We hired one anyway cuz we can afford it and will advise to do so if you can. I agree with you about how USCIS just cannot make interruption about the case the way they want, but they will and that have happened in the past. I understand your frustration ( me too) ,but the system is broken, and they have full authority over everything. Overcoming this is a very long and hard process not because of the case facts but the system itself. I would like for us to get in touch as we are both going through same/similar situation. I have red a lot of cases as well as the law itself.

    Good Luck,

    A-
