  1. Hi Ladies...it has been a really long time since I posted on this thread. There so many new faces. Wishing all the ladies that are waiting for visa approval a speedy process.

    I have a easy ? I think  .

We are doing a visitor visa for my spouse child. I have scheduled the appointment and completed the application online but I am not sure how to make the payment to the National Commercial Bank online. Can I make the payment online or is my only option is to pay it in person. We are flying down on a Saturday for an appointment at 8am that following Monday. So if we can't do it online we will need sent the money to JM which we really don't want to do that :help: Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  2. Hi...I got my hubby card today. It was printed Dec 30. So looks like it takes about a week to received your card once you get that email saying card is being sent to production. Praying that the rest of the Aug filers get your card soon so we can all move on with our life minus the UCIS. I love my husband dearly but he knows he will must take lead on his citizenship journey.

  3. Hi All, I got David approval letter today. It was approved on Dec 17. This was a wonderful Xmas gift. My husband does not want to travel outside of the country with that letter extending his GC. So I am praying that we get the card very soon.

FYI although I was listed under the CSC our paperwork was actually with the VSC. So my fellow VSC filer..keep the faith you will soon get your approval too. Another tidbit I mistakely had a typo on my hubby SSN on the application. After I realized; I decide to not rock the boat and hope the info from the biometric would some how provide the correct SSN. I never told the hubby becuz he would have been so pissed :bonk: .

Lets hope he never visit VJ. Anyway after it was taking so long..I start to think just maybe I should reach out and try to correct the error of my ways. Thank God it just works it self out. So even with my screwing up on the paperwork we still got approved

    Happy holidays to all!

  4. All,

We just got back from the USCIS Atlanta, GA office as a walk in. My hubby appt was for Sep 17. But he travels for about 90% of the time from home with his job and he was not scheduled to be in the Atlanta area on the Sep 17. So if the walk in process did not work today; we would have to get it rescheduled. We were in and out of there within 20 minutes tops from going thru security, getting finger printed and picture taken.

I agree with the posting from ELW and sprintscorer; the security officer was only concern that we had a notice for the appointment; he never questioned the date. While I am not encouraging every one to run down to their office before their date. I do think if you are like us and actually live in or near the city where the biometric appt; it will not hurt to attempt the walk in process prior to rescheduling the appointment.

  5. Good Evening

We received the I-797 extension letter (NOA1). My spouse DL expires Oct 26, 2009; can we go now DMV to get the DL extended. My hubby travels out the state about 80% of the time with job so I would like this get done sooner than later. Also does the I-797 extension letter (NOA1) extend a year from the date on the NOA letter or a year from the expiration date on the GC. FYI I live in Atlanta, GA so it would be wonderful if there is a VJ from GA that could share his/her experience with GA DMV.

Thanks so much for you help!!

  6. Ok I know this sounds really stupid, I don't really know how to type legal documents ; ie my affidavits for the removal of conditions. And, of course I want it to look professional. I don't know any legal secretaries or secretaries that I can ask to do it for me. Where can I go to get an affidavit typed for me? Would a law office do it for me for a fee? I need suggestions, did anyone do it themselves? THanks, Jelloshotgirl HELP!!!!:bonk:

Hi I just send you an email with the AFFIDAVIT I use. Hopefully that wii help you.

  7. Hi..our 1751 package was sign for on Aug 8 and the check for the fees is showing up as a pending transaction at my bank today. So it should be cleared tonight.

I do have a question. I fail to put a copy of our marriage certificate in the package. I had it listed as one the documents that was included in the package on the cover sheet but some how flat forgot :cry2: to put a copy in the package. In my opinion that should not make a difference since clearly the marriage exist for my I30 application to get approved.

Do you think I will still get the NOA without any delay?? My husband current GC expires Oct 26 so we have time but it would certain be wonderful if we can just get this part behind us B)

  9. Hi Ladies, I have not log on in a while. Lots of new people! I have a quick question. I am looking for recommendations for calling card back to Jamaica. Apparently the Sprint Int'l CC rates has doubled  . Most of my spouse family have the int'l card on their phones. So we don't make a lot of calls to Jamaica. However we still need find other calling card options when he does call back home.

  10. Hello,

Congrats on all the approvals, marriages and births. I have not been on VJ in months. I tried to catch up but it was too much!!!! Just stop in to say "hi". David and I are just enjoying our first year of living in the same country together. Time is moving so fast for me. I guess that is a sign of being really happy. I can not belive it has been a whole year since my case was completed and David has been in the USA for almost nine months. Sending blessing and wishes for a speedy process for everyone with a pending case. Take care!

  11. Hi All,

It has been two weeks since David arrived. Things are going really well for the most part. David got his SSC on Thursday and my baby went and got his GA driver's license on yesterday :dance: . I am so happy for him. He has a few leads on jobs so he will start applying for them next week.

I think he is adjusting to his new life in the USA. He is not calling JA much at all. A couple of his immediate family members do have the mega phone and call pretty frequently. We are truly blessed that David does have several very close friends that live in the Atlanta area as well as thru out the US.

Adjusting to living together....well he was here 3 month last fall so we just felt back into the groove we develop then.

All in all I am truly enjoying my husband finally being here permanently. Yes we have the normal couple arguments but we are just learning and exploring each others. Hopefully David will get his green card in the couple of week so we will be set for then next two years

  13. Good Morning All,

David arrived in Atlanta, GA on time Friday evening :dance: . He stated the POE was a breeze. Everyone was very nice and welcomed him to the USA. We had very quiet and peaceful weekend. I am working from home this week just to help out in his transition to living here. He really wants his SSC to get here so he can start applying for jobs but otherwise he seem to be okay and not missing Jamaica too much. It really helps that he has several really good friends in the Atlanta area. A couple of them lives in our same area. Now that my baby is here I know I will not have time to visit the site as much but if any one feels I can assist in any way;please PM or email me. Again thanks for all the support and info. Also wishing all pending cases a speedy process.

  14. Hey yall!! I just got back from my wedding/honeymoon in JA!! I had the greatest time!! I will try to post pics in the yahoo groups for all to see!! I can't wait to go back to see my husband!! I'm finally Mrs. Tamisha S. Palmer!!:thumbs::dance::dance:

I love the pic called "Taking the Plunge!" You guys were grinning from ear to ear!

Tamisha, Marlita, Jax, Kimmy, Jenice, JATam (and anyone else who filed a CR1 lol) - where did you guys have your wedding? I'm starting to look into some places :D

David and I got married at the Registar General Office in Spanish Town. Very simple but we were able to get the official marrigage license the very next date any time after 2pm. This was very important to me becuase I want to file the moment I got back to the U.S.

  15. Hello Ladies!!!

My hubby will be here Friday even at 5:45pm EST....Just three more nights  . Today was his official last day as a cop.. He stop working last week but still had all of his police gear up to today. He sound so sad. He was trying to be upbeat for me but I know this was probably one of the hardest things he has had to do. He has been doing this for 18+ years. I am hoping now he will start to pack finally

I can not believe the time is almost here!!!!!

All the pictures were really lovely. Every one look so in love!!. I will try to upload a picture of David and I. When he were here in June we took picture every time we change clothes to use for our interview. But we did not need any of that stuff.

I can honestly say prior to finding the VJ website I did not know anyone else that was going thru this process. However based on what I have seen on VJ all things being equal same visa type same embassy; interviews are being given based on when the case is complete. PLease remember no two case are the same; for various reason additional info is requested on some case but not on others. If additional info is requested your case stop until this info is provided then the case is put back in process. Your case does not get to get in front of some one who case start after your but past your since it was never RFE.

My other statement was with thousands of case there is a small % of cases that may fall thru the crack. This happen not just in the US govt but all companies. In those cases the applicants must be on top of what is the actual proces so when his/her case gets off track the correct attention is place on his/her case timely.

I got so much info from this thread both from people get visas from the same embassy as well as just other people getting IR1/CR1 that I am sure help me get my visa really fst compare to other walk the journey. However I can say there were a few times I would read a statements made as a fact and get so side track only to find out it was only speculation and had not fact base info to back up the statement. Newbie to this site will in the beginning take every word on this site as law; so we have a responsibility to be as fact base as possible.
