  1. Congratulations on your case completion!

NVC will be sending you (Petitioner) a package containing information as to your spouse's interview, information on medical examine, and what documents are needed for the interview. I am not sure what country your spouse is from.....but NVC does schedule interviews for the Continent of Africa.

    Good luck!

  2. Wahrania:

Once our CR1 case was completed at NVC things went relatively quickly. Our case was completed on Dec. 14th - Algiers received our file Jan 24th - my husband's interview was Feb. 1st. Both my husband and I found the consulate to be very courteous, helpful and they responded to all emails. At that time there was no additional fees to pay - everything had been paid thru NVC. After the interview my husband had to resubmit his birth certificate to reflect that it showed he was married and the Visa was issued 3 days later.

My best wishes to you that CSC will pick up soon.

  3. I am not familiar with the regulations for Egypt. We also got married in Tunisia - took us 4 days to do it. The K3 interview takes place in the County that you were married. Lucky for us, the I-130 was approved first, so my husband was able to have his interview in his home county of Algeria and didn't have to make a trip back to Tunisia.

    Good luck with your decision.

  4. In 2004, we filed for both I-129F & I-130. Our I-130 was appoved well before our I-129F - it wasn't until everything was completed at the NVC that we finally got the approval for I-129F. For us I am personally glad we went the CR1 route - my husband had both his SS card & green card within 3 weeks of arrival & there was no additional paperwork until we filed for removal of conditions.

As posted before - check out the the service centers & embassy timelines.
