Thank you!!! We just got the email saying our visa is ready for pickup tomorrow! I'm so freaking happy right now!

that is so awesome! Our status changed to ISSUED this morning.   I took a leap of faith and booked his flight for next Saturday. I'd imagine it'll ship asap, yeh??? Anyone? We had interview 28June and issued this morning or late last night USA time (I was in London, just flew home, it changed to issued at 9am London time)... so I'm thinking we'd get courier email soon?

    So happy for you P!!!

In 2017, we were notified only 5 days after case complete.  Normally, NVC will assign an interview date after the consulate gives them available dates.

we booked our interview (his interview) online. after makin 2342343 phone calls and emails to the embassy / consulate I was told it was fine, we printed the confirmation page, and I Have two emails from the consulate telling him it's fine to show up with all the required documentation including the letter confirming his interview, d160 etc...

Haha I know the feeling! You must be due some nice airline upgrades soon? 👍 Just make sure for the medical on Friday he has either a letter/email printout from NVC showing case number and visa category (or the P3 letter from the Embassy if it arrives in time) as they DO need this.

Yes we do have it printed (and like 3 extra copies) in the front of the plastic sleeve of stuff he's bringing wth.  The NVC had my email wrong (!!!) the atty submitted it properly but they made my last name spelled wrong. so we have requested that to be fixed - but yeah we got that letter front and center with those 4 passport pics!!! I'm so ready to get this show on the road.

This is correct. At my interview last week I took a printout of the appointment confirmation, they never asked for any other email printout.

THANK YOU. I've just booked my ticket$$$$$$$ there and back for what I hope is the last time. I've flown 28,000 miles this year to and from LHR.   All we've eaten is Ramen and biscuits. Please dear god let the end be in sight. THank you!!

I think it's what is called packet 3.

I was told (or reading somewhere) they no longer send those. no packets, no emails etc just the confirmation page you print when you book the interview, the ds160, proof of payment etc....

I took the ds-160 which is a must, then with it i had my email confirmation that showed i paid the visa fee and had my interview date and time, also took NOA2, NVC and Embassy letter. Only DS-160 was asked for at the front desk and inside at the reception.

What is the "Embassy Letter" you mention? I have everything else. What does an embassy letter look like? Thanks.

  7. Did you just bring your confirmation email (that you printed when you scheduled your interview) with you? We were "ready" as of 20May but no email. I emailed them thru the consulate help desk and was told "just bring your confirmation page there's no 'email' coming from the embassy to you"

  8. Our case has shown ready since 20 May, we have created his medical appointment for this Friday and his interview I scheduled and paid for on 28 June. We have yet to receive any email from the consulate in London and I have called many times, and they insist that without that email he will not be able to go for his interview. We did print out the sheet of paper when we created the interview, which indicated all of the details, and said to bring with however this is not the email originally created by the consulate. How long has it taken everybody to receive that email, what does it look like and do you think it will arrive before his scheduled interview  our case has shown ready since 20 May, we have created his medical appointment for this Friday and his interview I scheduled and paid for on 28 June. I am trying to make travel plans while getting a new job and this is becoming very difficult emotionally as well as logistically. Shouldn’t the email be arriving shortly? Anybody? Thank you so much. I am just sitting here in tears feeling very defeated

A K1 applicant does not need the letter from the London Embassy to get in the appointment. They do not invite you to an interview. The only postal letter from London says they have received your approved petition so you can apply for the visa. Then they tell you to get your instructions by reading their website.

    HERE https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

Read everything on that page and open every link. Tell your lawyer to learn the London procedure as well. It is all explained on the website.

The website even though indicates ready, says to wait to get an email or a letter from the consulate, so that is very confusing to me.   Both of these are from the website in the last several days and indicate that we are awaiting word from them that’s why I am so confused in my head is exploding LOL    I do have the printout of the cover sheet, and when I booked his interview, that said print this out and bring it with you, that will also include the DS 160 cover page as well as all of our other supporting documents in addition to the cover page that has the interview time and date on it

I guess my point is, to book the interview we did not need the letter but don’t we need a letter from the consulate to show up at the interview?

Are you using the London Embassy?

Yes  sorry it took me a minute to respond, I am new on the website and it had logged me out. We are using the London embassy. I submitted a contact form through the email and they have asked me to see the paperwork with the indication of his interview date, which I sent back right away

I haven’t received the letter either; and my interview and everything has been booked. My friend was approved and has entered the US without ever receiving the letter from the embassy! Different embassies work differently! All of the information for London is listed on here or on their website!

According to my attorney and according to what we’ve seen online we cannot even get in without that letter from the consulate inviting us for an interview. That’s my biggest concern we have a letter from the national Visa Center but the consulate has to issue the letter of interview etc. That’s my concern that’s the email I’m waiting for every day and I can’t exhale

My petition in CEAC shows as READY, and NVC already sent to London embassy.

I managed to schedule my interview and medical appointment but I haven't received any letter...will this be a problem?

I felt I could schedule everything already as we had the approval from NVC on May 14th and it looks as it's ready on CEAC.

    Thank you,

    Cristina.

This is the exact situation we are in, all we need is the email from the consulate. I keep waiting every time I hear my phone make a noise I checked my email. Our case showed that it was ready on 14 May. It appears that the last action was May 20 I’m assuming that’s when they sent it to London so mine would only assume that an email would be forthcoming but I am dying in anticipation. He has given notice at his flat and his job…

    Thanks so much!

So you don't need to wait for the embassy to let you know they have the medical results and you can then go ahead and book?

As soon as the readiness form is submitted you can go ahead and book? I've left enough time - my medical is on 24th May and interview is now 22nd June.

Have you received the letter from the consulate inviting you for the interview? I have scheduled my fiancé‘s medical for June 7, and his interview for 28 June however we are anxiously awaiting an email from the consulate inviting him for the interview. That is the only piece we are missing… And it makes me very nervous that it will not arrive on time. Our case showed ready on 20 May so I assume that we will receive our email well before then… But I have heartburn and cannot stop thinking about this… Do you think we will be OK?
