  1. I've already posted this elsewhere but I was told to post it here too. I'm starting to stress myself out about the medical questionnaire. Question five asks if you have ever taken drugs. If the applicant has but a long time ago and not for a sustained period of time, would the answer to this would have to be yes, right? Now I've read a few posts that say if you answer yes to this question you have to do a drug test and you may get banned for a year. Does anyone know what the procedures are? Would the drug test would be taken on the same day or would it be at a later date? And what are the chances of the whole case being thrown out? Cheers.
  2. Hello! I think this might be my last question, at least for a while. I have arranged my medical and interview and now I'm just in the final process of gathering all the documents I need to take with me. I already have a completed i-134 form, which my fiancee completed while I was over in the US last week. The evidence we have is as follows: employment letter on company stationary that states her start date, position, that its full-time and her salary. Her salary is a decent bit over the 125% poverty guidelines. signed print outs from her bank showing deposits for the past year in her checking and savings accounts. These have been signed and dated by the bank manager. two pay stubs signed statement showing the dates opened and balances of her accounts, checking shows almost $3k and savings shows almost $10k completed I-134 I also have her tax return folder for 2018 but it doesn't show that much as she has been working abroad for the last three years, unto the begging of 2019. So I don't expect that I'll need to show it. Does this seem as though it would be enough evidence for a K1 visa interview at the London embassy? I have the feeling that it would be but I'm just triple checking. Thank you!
  3. So I just need to get my fiancee to write and sign a new letter confirming that we are both legally free to marry? Thats not too difficult!
  4. I guess I need to contact the consulate to confirm. Thanks for your help!
  5. Hello again! I know this might be, and probably is, a stupid question. But I thought I'd ask anyway. I have just scheduled my K1 visa interview for 18th October 2019 and while looking through all the paperwork we have I noticed the expiry date on our I-797 is 17th October 2019. Now, do I have to reschedule my interview to a date before the expiry of the i-797 or doesn't it matter? Once again I apologise if this is a stupid question but it can't hurt to get some confirmation. Cheers!
  6. Thanks for taking the time to answer! And good luck getting everything sorted for your move!
  7. Cheers mate! I remember that you have commented on a few of my posts and you have been very helpful on all of them. Hopefully I can get you a beer one day in the future to say thanks!
  8. Thank you so much! This is an amazing cheat sheet of what to do! So, I don't need to wait for the letter before I start doing any of these steps? That is good to know and I'll get on with it tomorrow! Thanks again you've been a great help!
  9. Hello! This might be a stupid question, I think it actually is... But I just want to confirm something with people who are in the know. So I'm currently waiting for my appointment/confirmation letter from the US embassy in London about arranging my interview. Should I wait for it to arrive before filling in the DS-160? Or can I get on with it while I wait? Thanks! And I'm sorry if this is a stupid question!
  10. First congratulations of having your visa approved! I'm at the stage where I'm waiting for the appointment letter from the embassy in London as it says that it's ready for interview on the ceac website. Hopefully I'll get that in the next week or so. When did you fill in your DS-160? Did you wait until you had the letter and interview confirmation before completing it? Or did you do it as soon as you got your case number? Also thanks for confirming that the interviewer is nice and not trying to catch you out. Although I'm still likely to be nervous! Congratulations again!
