    It was 8 months after filing before I even got an appointment for fingerprints. My EAD/AP came through one week before my actual green card. 🤦‍♀️

    Props to Colorado and their self-solemnization option, no officiant or witnesses needed at all. 😎

    Indeed. Notaries can only perform marriages in Florida, Maine, Nevada, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Montana. And even then, notaries cannot marry couples who are from another state and can’t leave their state to perform a wedding. Source: Am notary.
