Hi Burbur
My visa interview time is 0900, how early I can be there at consulate, if I go very early will they turn me back? Please reply.
I don't think they turn people away. In our experience the check-in lady just have a list of interviewees on her ipad. And then she found us and checked us in. If you have a reason to go early, then I'll say go for it. Worst case, they ask you to come back a little bit later.

Hi Burbur, my visa interview on Nov 12, one question, Is Canada police clearance certificate valid for one year from the date of issue?
Yes, that's correct. You can always get a more recent clearance to have a stronger case I think.

Did you select that option when you register your appointment?
Congratulations on your journey and thank you for helping us...
Yes, once you got your IL you can follow the instruction to register that on a website.

Is your visa printed?
Yes, it changed to issued - final processing the next day, released the next day and received the next day at post office. We have just crossed the border - all done.

One more question about medical, did you show blood results for antibodies as proof of vaccination like Tetanus, chicken pox etc. Thank you very much for reply and it is very helpful.
We did it at Medysis. I had chickenpox as a kid so that's what I provided verbally and they took it as proof. For other vac I do have records. I think worst case you just get an extra shot for some extra $. Best of luck!

Normally from what date they will start to send IL for the following month by NVC?
I always thought the 7-9th day of the month but I got mine around the 15th or when the VB came out for the next month.

Good and all the best. Did they ask for updated job offer letter? How long the interview was?
They did ask for the job offer. I think it must be dated within a month. It lasted about 2 hours with most time going into the first step document check and fingerprints. But we also arrived quite early. The actual VO Q&A was fast.

How was your interview , please update. What questions they asked?
Got our interview done last week. The VO asked me about the highest education, where received the degrees, any arrests, etc. and asked my wife about her degrees, location and nature of work as she is working. The CEAC status changed to Issued after we came out of the consulate. But underneath it says it's under administrative processing, so the VISA is not printed yet - hopefully by Monday.

@BurBur Thank you for your reply. I assume we can hope some good news when the VB is released this month. One of my friend got IL last week Thursday. He was not current as per September VB. CC July 2019, EB 2. Not montreal though. The embassy he got interview is not a busy post. Non immigrant appointment schedules in 3 days in that post. Montreal takes 2 months to shedule a non immi interview. I think when @shaik get the IL last month, he was not current as per August VB. One day when I call NVC, the agent said case shoud be current for them to send IL. But @shaik and my friend's cases are different. @shaikgot the IL after the VB released because he is current as per September VB. I guess, We cannot weigh your case becoz you were current on both Aug. and Sept. Have you seen Montreal issue IL two times for a month. becoz @CAN2US already got the IL last week for 15th Oct. Is that means Montreal is done sending IL for this months? Any thoughts?
Montreal was definitely waiting for the VB when they issued my IL, otherwise it should be out around 7-9th day of the month per historical trend. This makes sense to at the end/start of fiscal year when VB needs some hard math to finalize. So it makes sense that they wait till it's official. The fact that CAN2US got IL already makes me think another IL this month is less likely but I definitely don't know for sure. I'll say give it a day for VB.

@BurBur Is it the same day the VB was published and you got the IL?
you have posted that your ceac status changed to 'in transit" and you called NVC. Was it before the VB published or after?
Thanks
It was the same day. It was shortly after VB was released when I saw my status changed to in transit.

Thanks! I used to see people attending interviews when they were no longer current and their VISA has to wait till current to be issued. This means at the time of scheduling NVC had no visibility of upcoming month's visa bulletin. But I have a feeling that this might have changed because I didn't get an interview until next month's bulletin is out - maybe this is a better news to you because if you are current in Oct you may hear something as early as mid-sep when the VB is out. But again, this is just guessing

Thanks BurBur for your answer, and congratulations on getting the interview! I just checked and my PD is not current.. I think my wife's case has been hit by the retrogression and we need to wait till October. Do you know if the Administrative Processing is still in progress under the retrogression and we'll find out when it's completed? or will they just put a hold on her AP until after October when the visas become available again? I'm wondering if they might still update the status to Ready but not Issue the visa or they don't do anything about it till October. It is absurd that they can hold onto someone's passport for that long, without even giving any explanation about the reason/timeline... Thanks again for your answer and best of luck on your interview!
Yea, I understand this is quite difficult. I'm not sure whether they would let you know if the process is actually complete or not. Did you try emailing them? I bet the status will stay as AP until Oct when it should be issued. I guess they still process it under retrogression, just can't issue it. I have seen people attending interview while it's already retrogressed - which means they can work on your case even though VISA can not be issued. Again, I'm merely guessing - maybe you can find a lawyer who may answer this? Best of luck!

Mine still says at NVC. What does in transit suppose to mean from visa interview perspective?
I understood only when interview is scheduled can the case be shipped to consulat. So in transit means the files are going to the consular.

My CEAC status just changed to In Transit!!! Haven't seen any IL yet but maybe this is a sign?? Calling NVC now! Please check yours!
Montreal embassy EB-2 interview wait time

The ISSUED status with AP message just means it's in process. Then it would change to ISSUED - Final Processing. In our case it was 1 business day later. Then 1 day later we received an email saying it's ready to pick up. We signed up the post office at Montreal and it was ready the day after the email. I think in your case it should be just fine since the officer said so. And it would be pretty quick based on some others' experience on the premium service. Congrates! Hope this helps.
