  1. Very nice Ashley.

Thanks Tracy and Cassie!! I am still in love with my pictures and with my photographer...they were sooo great. A tad on the expensive side, but they have since doubled their price so I figure I lucked out!!

  2. We paid about $2200 for our photographer and I would have paid quadruple that for him.

We got married in Phoenix Arizona, so it wasn't a small town wedding.

I found him online, looked at their website and fell in love...and am STILL madly in love with my wedding pictures.

-6 hours of wedding day coverage by 3 photographers

    -Unlimited number of photos taken

    -DVD of high-resolution digital images

-Online proofing and ordering on Pictage.com

-Reception slideshow of your wedding photos (on monitor)

-Website slideshow of your wedding photos on visionyard.com

-Event cards to direct guests to your images on Pictage.com

    -Engagement picture session

    -Thank you cards

They are now charging almost double for this year compared to what we paid last year as they have become so popular. Their website (they do travel to do weddings) is www.thevisionyard.com.

  3. What order do the uscis process cases?

I have one of the earliest NOA from our FEB batch but have heard nothing. NO TRANSFER AND NO INTERVIEW.

I am happy for people who are done with this part........cause I don't wish immigration process on anyone.....

It's supposed to be first come first served, but clearly that's not the case just by looking at this forum. I don't think there really is any sort of order. Maybe the easiest cases are processed first, and the more complex ones get stuck for a while. I'm not sure anyone really knows!

I think your local office plays a big part in the process too...but again, just a guess.

  4. I already have an Arizona drivers license, but recently moved homes and need a new one to reflect my change of address. My current license has an expiration date of 18 months - which is what the DMV employee thought was fair since I was in the process of applying for AOS at the time.

Now that I have a green card, and social security number, I'm wondering if I'll be able to get a "expires when you're 65" licence like most Arizonans have. The reason I stressed "Arizona residents only please" is because DMV policies vary from state to state (I have had licenses from two other states), and Arizona's DMV, and policies, are definitely out there.

My current green card is for two years.

    Thanks!

Based on what the lady told me when I got my DL, your two year greencard will only get you a license that will expire once that greencard expires (so in the two years). She said it wouldn't be til I was a citizen that I would get the awesome "expires when your 65" license.

  5. It all depends on what part of the process you are at. If your interview is at the consulate level in a foreign country then you need your passport as that is what they put your visa in.

We need more information on your situation before we can provide more help!

  6. :crying: :crying:

My husband's AOS hasn't been touched since they received our rfe. I am scared now. :crying:

Seriously, If i could go back in time I would have just stuck to CR-1.. K-3 visa has been nothing but a pain in the butt.

I don't know what they are even planning to do... what do you guys think.. will i just get an interview letter or could a transfer is still a possibility?

We hadn't had a touch on ours since they had received our RFE either (which was March 21 I think...) and then yesterday in the mail our interview letter just showed up. Still nothing saying there has been a touch since March.

Your RFE was received just a few days before ours so my advice is to sit tight. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing how it will all work out.

  7. I live in Phoenix and I was very fortunate find a job in my field within about a week of starting to apply for jobs. I work in the social sciences field. I think it mainly depends on your field of work, where you live and the opportunities. Where I was hired didn't even flinch when I said I was Canadian.

  8. for what I know , as soon you get your EAD, you have to go back to SS# to change your status...my advice is go back there and show your EAD card

That advice is incorrect. They won`t change the card wording until she gets her green card.

Uh oh..lol..mass confusion setting in  Do I HAVE to go down to the SS office yet?**smacks self in head** I would hate to go apply for a job and find out I have to have my status updated first(we all know how slow the gov't can be) but I would HATE HATE to go sit there for 3 hours to be told theres nothing to be done yet...

    S

Like you I already had my SSN and it said the same thing. I didn't bother to go to the SSA and I have a job. So I don't think you need to go because it would probably be a waste of time because you aren't going to be filling out any forms and they won't give you a new card.

Thank you so much! you just saved me a much dreaded unnecessary trip!(the last time I was at the SS office..it took FOREVER!!)

    S

i suggest you go to the SS office and update it and tell them you are able to work now. and i do think they will give you a new card that say authorized to work. because some employers want to see the SS card not just the EAD card. you have to update your SS regardless anytime your status or situation changes. when you get EAD, green card, naturalize, i believe you have to update it with them. I may be wrong, but if i was you i would play it safe and make sure to update it with them.

When I applied for my SS card the first time I asked when I would be required to return to update my information and was told not until my greencard arrived. The statement "not valid for work without DHS authorization" is still true at this point in the process for most of us. You can't have that statement removed from your SS card yet because we are still not eligible to work without our EAD. Hope that helps a little. This is how i understand it at least.

If anyone has gone and been told differently please share, cause I don't really want to get in trouble with my employer.
