Just to add, I've been able to now go in and schedule an interview with select dates available in December and January. However, I would like to know how long I can delay this while keeping the case active.

Hi y'all!
My wife and I filed back in 2020 and had an interview scheduled in Montreal for September 2021. We were not able to make it on that date and thus had to wait for it to pass before being able to select a new date. Once I got the email to schedule a new date using the calendar, there were no dates available. This happened for months and since then we've had a change of plans and don't intend on moving to the US right away.
I understand that once you go through the interview and get your visa, you have 6-12 months to move down to the states. Our current plans are to move in mid-2024.
Will I be able to keep this case active or will I need to file everything over again including paying all fees?
Thanks in advance!

For those that have had their card charged but not received any notification via text or email, you can call in to USCIS and see if they're able to provide you with one.
My card was charged on Monday, April 1st and despite including the G-1145, I never received any notification. I was waiting to receive the I-797 in the mail but decided to call in and the agent was able to provide me with the receipt number.
Routed to Nebraska Service Centre.

Hi Everyone!
Looking forward to joining you all in this game of patience.
My wife (US Citizen) and I live in Canada as we got married in 2017 and she had moved to join me here up North. I've gone through this process on the Canadian side when we applied to have her become a Canadian PR. Now we're thinking of moving to the States so through the process we go again.
Timeline:
March 26 - Mailed I-130 to Chicago Lockbox
March 30 - Ready for pickup at PO Box
I'm slightly concerned as I realized after we mailed our application that I had forgotten to write down our names on the back of the passport photos. I understand that I was not required to provide my passport photo as I (the applicant) am currently not in the United States but I felt that it couldn't hurt to provide it anyway. I also included a photocopy of both our passports - it's pretty obvious to see who's photo is on the 2x2 but wondering if they'll provide us any trouble with that.

Is there a specific number to best contact them at? I remember being able to communicate with anyone can be a real hastle.
