YEAH~~~!!!! Got my NOA2 today. I check the USCIS yesterday and it was touched. I thought I was getting an RFE but instead, got an approval letter. so exciated..
I have a question, what do NVC actually do? just the name check?? or do I need to send them if they require more paper work?
Thanks everyone
Congrats! So I guess your status didn't change online, but you got an approval letter in the mail?

I'm logging into the USCIS website like 3 times a day checking on our status. Does anybody know around what time do the status updates usually come?

Got touched twice too, but no NOA2... I hope my our case doesn't turn into another one of those sent directly to NVC with no NOA2 email or otherwise sent. Actually now that I've thought about it, I'll probably hate an RFE more.

Hi Seren,
There are several options to make the distance shorter, if you feel that you're not ready to take the K-1 route. Because Australia has a working holiday agreement with Canada, Corey can work in Canada for up to a year. My fianceé did this last year... she went up to Vancouver last year, and it definitely helped in our case because 1) We were at least in the same time zone and 2) I was able to visit her more often (cheaper, shorter flights from SF to YVR than to SYD).
Corey can also apply for the E-3 visa, which was created recently specifically for Australians. I believe it works very similar to the H-1B visa, only that Australians don't have to compete with other people for H-1B. But like the H-1B, the company that hires him will have to prove they can't find Americans for his job.
A third option that I have just found out recently is that US Citizens can work abroad in New Zealand under a working holiday scheme for one year. Since Australians can work in NZ without applying for work visas, so maybe the two of you can both work there.
Anyway, you guys already as you said spent 5 years together, so I think it's worth looking at other options to see if you guys can stay together.

About once a week - if fwaguy has the chance to, since it takes time and certainly isn't a day job!
Wow... so you're saying he enters this stuff by hand? That's a lot of work!

Great job fwaguy! How often is this data updated?
3 touches then nothing

Same happened here. I hope that if it's an NOA2, they at least bother to send out a notice in snail mail. I'm going to call next week if I don't get anything by then.
