Hola Carolina, desde aca enviandote muchas energias positivas, segun lo q he mirado ultimamente (en especial los ultimos 2 dias) he visto q han aprobada varias peticiones en Vermont y la mayoria era de Agosto, asi q estoy seguro q tu caso ya esta en la puerta para ser aprobada, ya falta poco y vos sabes q de ahi el caso vuela....Asi q un poquito mas de paciencia y tiempo...

- debo llevar el sobre de la radiografia a mano? eso lo piden en emigracion?

- alguien sabe como es el tramite alla en emigracion a penas uno llega... hacen otra entrevista?

Hola Pao, de acuerdo a lo q se, si puedes comprar el ticket de una sola via, en eso no hay problema, ademas q tu vienes a casarte y no de vacaciones, pero a veces se consiguen los tickets de ida y vuelta mas baratos q los de una sola via.....

Por otro lado,a ti cuando te devolvieron tu pasaporte, este llega con un sobre sellado, recuerda este sobre no lo puedes abrir y debes entregarlo aca en USA en inmigracion, de ahi ellos te llevan a otra oficina y procesan tu llegada , te hacen algunas preguntas como por ejemplo, cuando te vas casar, y donde vas a vivir, pues lo logico es dar un estimado de cuando seria tu boda y q vas a vivir con tu novio.... alli ellos te entregan un papel q es el I 94, en ese papel esta anotado el dia de tu llegada y hasta cuando estas autorizada de permanecer legalmente aca...logico q tu matrimonio debe realizarse antes de la fecha limite (son 90 dias dara casarte). No te preocupes q todo es parte del proceso, asegurate de tener la direccion de donde vas a vivir , el telefono de tu novio, esta info es necesaria y tenla a la mano....

Bueno si alguna otra persona puede agregar algo mas o actualizar esta info se agradeceria...

Bueno compañeros como lo prometido es deuda aqui les tengo mi relato:

como todos saben yo tuve mi entrevista el 22 de diciembre donde solicitaron la presencia de mi novio... por lo tanto yo ya tenia todos los documentos en la embajada. llegue con mi novio a las 6:30am nos hicimos en la fila 3 luego el punto 40 y de ahi me llamaron de la ventanilla 32 para entregar mi pasaporte y todas la evidencias que llevaba, alli no me hicieron ninguna pregunta solo me recibieron los documentos y me dijeron que esperara cerca de la ventanilla 2,3,y4 que alli me llamarian para la entrevista.

como a las 10:00am llamaron a mi novio a la ventanilla No 5 la consul estuvo con el como 10 o 15 min le preguntaron cosas como:

- como se conocieron

- hace cuanto son novios

- de que manera se comunican y con que frecuencia

- cuando y como le propuso matrimonio

- donde se ha hospedado las veces que a venido a colombia.

- a que me dedico yo

- con quien vivo

y depues me llamaron a mi a la ventanilla hicieron sentar a mi novio y me hicieron las mismas preguntas... mi novio no habla español y yo hablo ingles pero muy despacio, entonces la consul me dijo que como nos comunicabamos si yo no hablaba ingles yo le conteste que yo lo hablo, no es un ingles perfecto pero lo hablo (en la primera entrevista me hicieron como 2 preguntas en ingles y yo conteste perfectamente entonces creo que no le quedo duda sobre ese tema) ademas cuando estoy con mi novio en el chat siempre utilizo el diccionarios.. el traductor y no tengo ningun inconveniente para comunicarme con el. luego me dijo espere un momento y llamo a la consul que me entrevisto en diciembre ella me dijo paseme a su prometido y por favor espere al lado de la columna. cuando mi novio paso ella le dijo: que pensara muy bien si queria casarse conmigo que por que yo habia solicitado visa de turista y visa de estudiante que lo unico que yo queria era que el me llevara hasta EE.UU pues la verdad la consul me dejo casi que por el suelo frente a mi novio le dijo que yo vivia en Pereria y que la mitad de las mujeres de alla hacian lo mismo... en fin mi novio le dijo que me conocia muy bien y conocia muy bien a mi familia... ella seguia insistiendo con lo mismo finalmente le dijo, los voy citar nuevamente a las 3:00pm hable con su novia y aclare bien si ella realmente lo quiere y quiere casarse y si es asi yo les doy la visa... pues mi novio le dijo ok. y salimos y yo no sabia aun, que habia pasado ya el afuera me explico todo.... nos fuimos almorzar y regresamos a las 3:pm ella entrevisto nuevamente a mi novio el le explico las razones por las cuales yo habia solicitado visa de turista (2 veces) y luego de estudiante. que yo no tenia ninguna otra razon diferente a la de querer casarme y compartir mi vida con el finalmente le dijo ok la visa ha sido aprobada.... no se imaginan el estres por un momento llegue a pensar que las cosas no se iban a dar... pero pensaba que Dios estaba conmigo y habia permitido que llegaramos hasta ese punto y que de corazon lo unico que yo quiero es estar con mi novio.

Muy interesante tu relato Pao, la verdad si la pusieron dificil con las preguntas, pero tampoco tenian q ponerte a ti O las mujeres de pereira asi, el hecho de q algunas personas hayan hecho algo malo no significa q todos son asi, en tu caso Dios esta contigo y ademas tu relacion es sincera, asi q tenia q terminar en algo positivo.... me alegro mucho por ti y por tu novio, ahora ya pasaron esta etapa , pronto llegaras a a USA y te recomiendo tener mucha paciencia, la experiencia q sigue es muy diferente a todo lo q has pasado, ahora va a ser al reves , estaras alejada de tu familia pero al lado del hombre q amas, entra al otro foro de colombianos viviendo en USA y lee las experiencias de las personas ahi, desde ya te deseo lo mejor, muchas bendficionnes y cuentas con muchos amigos aca,

We filed last August 6, 2008 and got a letter from NVC last January 12, 2009 that they forwarded our case at US Embassy Manila.My fiance called up US Embassy yesterday Friday and they gave us an interview date of March 4, 2009. We didnt wait for the letter anymore from NVC or US Embassy to schedule our interview. I can go to SLEC anytime i want as long as 2 weeks before my interview.I thought we need to wait for an appointment letter but we found out that once NVC forwarded our case you can schedule an interview date. We are given until March 2, 2009 if we want to cancel our interview date.

Congratulattions honeybear.... now just prepare for what's coming and pass your interview and pick up your visa...

On January 22, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). I'll be damned! I figured at least another 2-3 months..... Just keep the faith out there, as they seem to be approving some fairly fast. By the way, I was number 106 on Igor's list at the approval time.......

Hi there, bad weather can be a reason as to why Vermont is slow lately, but in this was not the case last year, I believe the reason is that since it was an presidential election year, both centers were mostly working on the naturalization documents, but now that's over, and still Vermont is dragging while California is really moving fast, this is deppresing because there are still people waiting fromMarh 2008, and whole lot of people from later days, every one is fustrated and even upset, but there is nothing we can do about it.....just wait and hope htat Vermont picks up the pace .....looks like th eaverae waiting time is now at 180 days, while California si sometimes taking only 60 days to process K-1 petitions...

Lets hope for a better process from now on ...

As a matter of fact, I just checked Igor's list and yes one person from VSC got his approval today don't know if to be happy or upset, because the person who just got his NOA2 filed in september and it took him i bellieve 132 days, so not to be upset but I know of a few members that have been waiting for over 160 days already and they deserve getting their approvals soon........

Not that I don't want mine soon too, but hey as long as they start approving petitions we all be happy

Hopefully we 'll be moving from this stage onto the NVC sooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buenas tardes con todos, bueno revisando la Igor's list , pude notar q hoy a habido una aprobacion entregada por Vermont, de un miembro q envio la aplicacion en Setiembre, espero esto sea el inicio de futuras yt prontas aprobaciones para las muchas personas q estan esperando ansiosamente el NOA2..... asi q mi gente no se desanimen q "YA SE ESPERO LO MUCHO AHORA SOLO TOCA ESPERAR LO POCO"

Well this is going to be a long w/e for the Service centers. due to the holiday , so hopefully VSC will pick up its pace after the new president takes office......my girl is getting depressed over there and i told her that I will be seeing her next month, I can't wait much longer , between work, the distance and now she lost her internet connections is more difficult now..I need to see her, spend time and just relax... so hopefully this will give us a break from everything....

So far I've seen only one sept and one oct approvals......hope those approvals start showing more frequently here...

How is everybody doing?, here I'm a September filer at VSC, it's been a long waiting period and hopefully approvals start showing up on this thread, I filed on sept 13 and so far nothing, and yes is it's fustrating to see CSC approvals going fast, all we can do is wait and wait....this time around it's been more difficult for me, but like they say "GOOD THINGS HAPPEN TO THOSE WHO WAIT", so lets just keep our hopes up and really start getting inform of what comes next....

I've been reading the Calfornia September k1 filers forum and last night was one day that at least 5 members got their NOA2, now Vermont is a month behind, I believe Vermont August K 1 filers are being approved now, but not as fast or as many as California, anxiety is starting to become a problem but I know is a matter of time; lets see if we can share our opinions, experiences while waiting for our approvals,

Hi LACHIFA, well, the first thing you need to do is have your boyfriend inform himself of the neccesary steps to apply for a K 1 visa, what's importanty is that you already met in person and it really does not matter how long you have been in this relationship, in order to prove that you have met each other in person, you need pictures, his airplane ticket (when he visited you ), and the rest of documents that are required, now after filing you will need to keep records of phone calls, e-mails, and if it is possible your boyfriend should go visit u one more time, all of this evidence will help you at the time of your interview....Age is not a problem at all, but remember you need to have enough evidence that your relationship is a serious one, you do not need to prove toanyone here, but the american embassy at the time of your interview...

I'm a September filer, and it's been 4 mos. for me, i've read on other threads that some people have been waiting over 180 days to get their NOA2, but then others get their really fast, is not uniform, it's like a roller coaster, and that's why I don't understand, but at the end all we can do is wait our turn and all of this will be a thing of the past....

Lets just hope VSC get its act together and start approving people here....this is the slowest I've seen

How is everyone doing, as i've been reading this thread I seen a few people getting their NOA2 during last month and this month, I'm also a Sept filer, and had only one touch up to this point, the difference is that I filed at VSC, but is really taking longer than usual, normally I'm at the Colombian thread, but just wanted to find another place where I cancomunicate with others, this waiting is very gruesome, and it reallytakes a token on your life, but is well worth it , at the end we all will be with our love ones, I hope we all start getting our NOA2 soon,

Muchos saludos a todos los foristas y muy bueno deseos en este nuevo año, por aqui leyendo las buenas nuevas, pero de paso tambien mirando q el tiempo para recibir el NOA2 esta demorando mas q antes, he estado leyendo enotros foros y pues parece q el tiempo a subido de 140 dias a 150 dias y hasata mas, he visto q hay pewrsonas q ya llevan 180 + y aun no les ha llegado la famosa carta, con esto no quiero desanimar a nadie porq al ogual q uds tambien estoy en la espera, pewro solo queda tomar las cosas con calma y tener una actitud positiva ewn todo monento,.....Bueno mis saludos para Erika, Claudia, , Marybell, y todas las demas personas.......
