  1. Also, there are a few lawsuits in progress. They may not lift the ban or the visa pause completely, but I imagine that there will be some sort of relief if they are successful. I agree with the other posters: Keep working as much as you can, because this process isn't cheap, and I don't think it will get any cheaper once the ban and the pause has been lifted. Best of luck to you.
  2. Not sure if it's related to the pause or not, but I haven't been able to get into CEAC IV all day to see if my fee payment has been acknowledged.
  3. For me, I paid my NVC fees on Monday and I'm waiting to get payment confirmation. I think I'm still going to complete the I-864 and the D-260 as soon as possible and see if I'll get DQ, and then go from there. I'll report back on any progress or rejections. Currently I'm on day 3 of waiting for them to acknowledge the fee payment.
  4. Ideally they will place priority on family based applications. It looks like there will be a lot of prayer and hope in our immediate futures.
  5. Does anyone have an idea of how this will affect the I-130 process? State Department pauses visas for 75 countries over public charge | Fox News
  6. I had to renew my Colombian Visa in December, so thankfully, I have most of the documents ready that will be required. Not quite sure about translations that will be needed.
  7. We got notification this morning that our I-130 was approved.
  8. That's great news. Thanks for that info. We filed on 12/4/24. Ours is through the Nebraska Service Center.
  9. I'm curious. What country is your passport from? I ask because I read something in one of the threads a while ago about a beneficiary from Venezuela who had problems at the interview stage.
  10. They are absolutely correct. My wife was denied a visitor visa and was explicitly told that she just has to wait for the I-130 to be approved. It sucks, but those are the rules. At least we got to go to Bogota and spend some time there. 😁
  11. Have we started getting approvals for October yet?
  12. I took this advice as well. Thank you!
  13. I filed December 5th at the Nebraska service center. Hopping in this thread and wishing everyone the best of luck.
  14. We're December 2024. Hoping to see some April approvals soon.
  15. My wife lives in Colombia and we filed the I-130 in December 2024. While returning from one of my monthly trips to Colombia, one of the CBP agents asked me why didn't I apply for a visitor visa for her for a few months instead of traveling so much. I took that into consideration and we applied for her visitor visa. She has a lot of strong ties to Colombia: Family, our apartment, her leadership role in the church, a few businesses, contracts that are pending/in progress, and other property. She had her interview in Bogota on Friday June 13th, and was denied the visitor visa. They weren't interested in much of the documentation that she had with her, other than our marriage license and the I-130 receipt notice. The main focus was the fact that she had an I-130 in progress and that was the reason for the denial. They essentially told her to wait for her marriage visa.
