Well using the VWP is the normal option for somebody to visit, so my first question is why she applied for a B, does she have issues that prevented her using the VWP.
How long ago did she apply for a B?
Not so, certainly complicates matters.
She exhausted her esta stay (not over extended) so it was suggested she apply for a b1/b2 visa as we travel back and forth between US and europe... often.
B1/b2 she applied for i believe back in November.

I was also under this impression (and what embassy officer told her). Although theoretically, she could renew her esta now, i just fear the denial and long flight from LA back to London for her..

First of, my sincere apologies if this has already been answered somewhere else. Im desperately searching for answers while Im admitted to the emergency room.
Unfortunately and unexpectedly, my cancer has spread pretty bad to my lungs, and Im in the process of being transferred to the hospital to do further tests, biopsies, ct scans, blood, etc etc before starting chemo and/or potentially surgery.
My question is, my wife is British and London based, and is awaiting her i130 approval (dec 2018 filer-texas) to come to America. Do we qualify for an expedited visa under my circumstance, or is there some alternative option for her to come over to see me in case of (god forbid) stuff gets a whole lot worse for me?
She applied for a b1/b2 visa in the past, but got denied due to insufficient paperwork. Not sure if we can go this route again, or something else, I dont know.
I would be eternally grateful if someone out there can help in anyway at all.
Sorry for panicking.. and if this is in the wrong place. Thanks so much guys.

That's so amazing! I'm at Texas center so probably 5 more months or so until I can expect my approval😒
It's crazy how Potomoc lists 8.5 to 11 months processing times and that is the location that is processing the fastest!
Yeehaw Texas! Speed it up, will ya?!

Hello, which link are you referring to for processing times?
https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
for texas, specifically..

Hey dudes,
Sorry if this has already been answered... but is there a reason why on the processing times it shows that permanent residents (5 to 7 months) are being processed faster than US citizens (7 to 9 months)? (at least that is how I am seeing it on Texas processing times)...
URGENT HELP RE: expedite options
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
Appreciate the kind words.
To put an end to this thread, after 10 long days in the hospital, I am finally home.
Luckily, we decided to reapply for the B2 visa again, albeit with all my hospital documentation, and more importantly, my wife's correct and sufficient documents regarding her ties back home. (VERY VERY IMPORTANT... lease/employment/car payment/etc.)
We requested an expedited application, which was approved, and she was granted a B2 visa and able to make it into the country safely.
I don't recommend obtaining a visa via cancer, but for those who may encounter this thread in the future under similar circumstances, I hope you find this information useful and you stay positive and strong no matter what you are going through.
P.s. God bless all oncology RN's... You are truly special people.
