It could be an issue, she should bring the IRS extension letter from the joint sponsor.
Ok, thank you for your reply!

My mom has her interview on July 27th in the DR but her co sponsor hasn’t filled the 2020 taxes yet. She only has the 2019. What can she do in that case? Won’t that be an issue?

Contact the consulate. They are the approval authority.
I’m I allowed to do that? Won’t that delay the case?

Hello everybody! I sent an expedite to NVC for my parents in the DR on April 10 after that I they sent me an email back on April 24 saying that my case was under review an that only the embassy in DR can make the decision.
I’m still waiting for the decision and I think that for an expedite it’s taking way too long but i don’t know for sure. I call them 5 days ago and they told me that if I haven’t heard anything back from them is because the embassy hasn’t reply back to them. Any suggestions? -

You should’ve received a response by now
I even call NVC on Thursday and they told me that is the embassy in the DR that hasn’t responded

Good Morning
Has anyone had the experience of not getting not getting any response to an expedite request? Or do you know if the response time has gotten longer now? Thank you

I'm in the same boat, sent mine on April 15th, got the email saying they are reviewing it on April 30th and haven't gotten any decision yet, called NVC and they said they forwarded the expedite to the Embassy on April 30. We are IR5 Dominican Republic as well.
Our PD is July 3, 2020
NVC received April 8, 2021
Documents submitted on April 14.
Good luck
I hope that we can heard some good news from them very soon🙏🏼
please keep me posted. I’ll do the same

Well we don't know. If it is like other BANS (for countries - Nigeria, Yemen, Iraq, etc) then they proceed to schedule and do the interview. The CO can recommend a waiver. But in this EO there is no option for a waiver. I'd expect DOS to issue some guidance within a month or so.
Well let’s hope for the best and stay positive🙏🏼
thanks for the information. -

It would be completed (DQ'd) at the NVC. Definitely held there until the consulates re open. Typically IR interviews are scheduled by NVC.
Held there until the consulate re open or until the new executive order ends in December 31/3020 ? Because for what I understand my parents case is been affected by that order.

Yes, everything that was already banned is extended to the end of the year.
My parents case is at nvc so did you think that it would stop right there or they’re still going to work on the case but don’t have the interview until next year?

Yes. These were originally included undeR the ban in April and the time is now extended to end of year.
What about ir5 visa for parents it is going to be affected too?

Yes. Transcripts will self explain.
That’s all I want to know.
thank you very much! -

They can’t send a W2 if they don’t have one or aren’t eligible for one .. but using to 1040 does require the submission of all associated forms
That it’s what I been saying I don’t have w2 or 1099. I just sent the 1040 now they’re asking for w2 but I don’t have one. I just need to know if the transcripts would self explain everything to the point that they would understand that I don’t have what they’re asking for

then it would be 1099 misc from places you worked / all of them
when a company or person hires a subcontractor , they are obligated to provide a 1099 misc
go back and ask these companies for one if they did not provide it
if working for individuals like "small repair work for example" then you would not have a 1099 misc but bills and receipts for your business along with busines licence, business insurance coverage and quarterly estimated taxes paid into IRS that proves to IRS your business and income are recorded properly , so if IRS accepts and has completed tax returns, that is what you need (IRS tranxscripts)
So the IRS transcripts would self explain why isn’t there w2 or 1099? I’m just trying to see if I don’t have to call them before I send it to explain that I don’t have the w2 or the 1099 wich is the only document they’re asking for since the rest of the documents already been approved

so, maybe immigration needs W2 of joint sponsor
No. They’re asking for mine

self employed contractors are suppose to get a 1099 misc from main contractors
but if IRS accepted his tax returns, your IRS transcripts are what you need
How will this help to sponsor both parents if (as you say in previous posts) you make less than the poverty guidelines for you, husband, children and parents?
Did you find a cosponsor?
Yes each one of my parents have a co sponsor

Your husband should upload his 1099 then. Also- your husband should be doing this and not you lol
We’re going to send the transcripts and see if that works.
thanks

Use his 1040 form. NVC will probably refuse to give you tax advice. Just use a copy of whatever he filed with the IRS. He can get tax transcripts from the IRS.
That’s the form that we already sent to them. We’re trying to get the transcripts and uploaded to see if that should be good with them.
thanks

One question for those who travel recently for the first time with permanent residence visa. How long did it took to go through custom and border protection at the airport? I have two flight opción:
1- a flight with a 3 hrs layover
2- a flight with a 11 hrs layover
thanks in advance
