Any idea how long would it take for completing immigration in Abu Dhabi airport for the first time green card Traveller?
Flight (Etihad) lands at 7:40am in Abu Dhabi and the next flight from Abu Dhabi to Chicago is at 10:10am.
Is this time sufficient for my spouse to complete the immigration?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info M@K12. This really helps.
Another question. After the interview, when should I be able to collect my spouse's passport directly from US consulate?
How long would it take if they mail (courier) the passport?
This info would help me plan my trip accordingly.

My spouse who is in India has her immigration Interview scheduled in Mumbai next month.
She is in the process of scheduling the medical exam.
We were looking into the medical examination requirements - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/interview/interview-prepare/medical-examination.html
It further took us to the below link and it mentions we have to register for Biometrics. Does she has to register for Biometrics?
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/BMB-Mumbai.html
Second question I have is where should she get her medical exam done. She lives close to Chennai. Can she get her medical exam done in Chennai?
Appreciate any help in advance.

It Can take up to 3 weeks for them to review your resubmitted PCC and accept it. Once it is accepted, you will get case complete email. You might be too late for a May interview date. So you can expect a June interview date. This is just a guess.
What was the issue with the PCC.
Thanks for the quick reply.
I had the PCC done for my wife directly from police station. Seems like NVC will accept only if it is issued from Passport office. -

On March 15th, I submitted DS 260, civil documents and AOS.
However on March 26th, I was asked to resubmit Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) with correct issue authority. I resubmitted PCC on 28th.
This is how I see the status for each
- Affidavit of Support Fee - PAID
- Affidavit of Support Document - ACCEPTED
- IV Fee - PAID
- IV Application - COMPLETED
- Civil Documents - SUBMITTED (This is because I resubmitted the Police Clearance Certificate on 28th, other Civil Docs are ACCEPTED)
May I know how long would it take for Case Complete? And how long would it take for Interview to be scheduled?
Thanks for the quick reply.

I received my Case # from NVC on 3/8/19.
Paid the fee on 3/9/19 and the status showed paid on 3/13/19.
I have a question on filling I-864 EZ for affidavit of support.
I haven't filed the tax return of 2018 (most recent tax year) yet. I will be filing the tax returns in 2-3 weeks and so I should be having the tax transcripts for 2018 before the visa interview.
I have tax returns for 2016 and 2017.
What should I answer for these questions in I-864 EZ?
5.a. Have you filed a Federal income tax return for each of the three most recent tax years?
Answer: Yes or No?
5.b I have attached photocopies or transcripts of my Federal income tax returns for my second and third most recent years.
Answer: I am planning to have this checkbox checked.
6.a Total income for Most recent tax year (2018)?Answer: Should I enter 0 as I haven't filed the tax yet? Or should I enter the total income from W2 form?
I appreciate any help in advance.

Hello Everyone,
My spouse got visa interview on June 25th, collected the passport on 27th from the designated pickup location, and reached US on June 30th.
I have couple of questions.
Q1: How long would it take to receive SSN? Its been 4 weeks now and still hasn't received SSN yet.
Q2: Can spouse start working before receiving the Green Card which I assume will be receiving in 3 months after entering US?
(Note: Visa stamping on the passport has the Green Card number)
I appreciate any help in advance.
