you don't have to wait anymore the final waiver (I797) is a thick paper as you said, comes with the statue of liberty background a and bar code at the bottom

Thank you! My case was received on may 23rd in Vermont office, never got updated online I just received the approval on my mail

I finally received my approval notice!

I never received my recommendation letter but I have my I 797C. The USCIS page shows that my case was received at another USCIS office

Two days back I sent an email to DOS regarding my case update, they did not reply but two days later they sent favorable recommendation , also in your email clearly mention your full name, case number, DOB,POB and also your passport information. Just got an update, they sent my favorable recommendation yesterday!
