    Gihigugma Kita (I love you)

Gimingaw ko nimo (I miss you)

Agay, akong lobot sakit (OUCH, my butt hurts!)

    Kauna pud! (Food again!)

Salamat Ginoo for the kaun (that's my personal blessing over the food)

    Akuna gyud ni (That's me!)

Aja aja (Go, go) I think its a Korean expression

NGIT NGIT ANGLANGIT (not sure the spelling, but they love to laugh when I try to say it) I think it means something about the dark and something else obsurd....

  2. i suggest for u to pay the delbros doc verification at the mean time and prepare all the docs..=)

When did you know to pay for Delbros? When you got a letter from the Embassy? Did you send several texts, and a fax, and call Robbie???

  3. OUR CASE WAS APPROVED JUNE ELEVEN. NOW WE MUST WAIT UNTIL WHEN??? AUGUST AND THEN MAYBE WE WILL GET AN INTERVIEW. U N A C C E P T A B L E, THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANTED TO HEAR.

THE WAIT TMES HAVE BEEN FAR TO LONG IN EVERY PART OF THIS CASE. :(:bonk::crying:

    JOHN&JEAN

Hey buddy! CR/IR-1 here too. Its good to see another one, mostly Ks around here. Our case was completed 2 days before yours so our wives should be going through the same stuff at about the same time. We'll have our packets sent to the Embassy from the NVC next month (July) so our interviews and meds should be scheduled by August or early September. (60 days from CASE COMPLETE normally).

Where is your wife from? I'd love to be able to have your wife and mine hook up through texts or email during this process. I know personally my wife will be pretty overwhelmed with everything she has to go through...

Let me know if you're interested... PM me.

    Take care...

  4. My wife needs to get prices on a flight from Phil to Africa- who can she contact in the Philippines? Anyone know of any good travel agencies that will charge her Filipino prices and not foreigner prices?

    She's near Butuan City

  5. Well, the time is approaching. My wife's case is complete and soon the difficult part of the process will begin: preperation for/and the interview...

I see a lot of savvy pinays here. I would never underestimate my wife, but she will be the first to tell you that she gets overwhelmed at just the thought of having to remember all of this stuff and the pressure of making sure she doesn't mess anything up...

I wanted to know if some other lady here still in the Philippines who has gone through this or is really familiar with it all to be my wife's visa buddy and share texts back an fourth for support and assistance and prayers.

    She's a great gal: 24, a nurse, and love's God.

So let me know and I can get you both to exchange e-mails and numbers or one or the other...

She should have her interview in August or Septiebre.

    Thanks!

  6. I was curious if anyone knew of particular vaccinations that would be better to get before you go to the Medical Examination at St. Lukes.

I'm not medically knowledgeable, so bare with me but; there are some vaccines that are recommended to take in series, as well as a month or more before a person travels to the place where those vaccinations are needed.

For example: The Polio vaccine is recommended with three in a series spread out with 4 weeks in between each. My concern is that if these vaccination series are required before a visa is issued, could that possibly mean that a beneficiary is required to take the Polio series in 3 months and thus, won't be issued a visa until the series is complete?

ALSO: Are vaccination expenses included in the $215.00 medical examination fee? Or will we need to pay for those as we get them at the hospital during the medical examination?

I wanted my wife to get as many of the vaccinations before the exam so we aren't delayed for any reason, but if she gets them "for free" at St. Lukes anyway, then I'll just have her wait.

  7. So if the NVC doesn't have the CENOMAR, how will the NSO get it. I guess what I'm trying to ask is: This document verification: who requests the documents? The NSO? The USEM? Does my wife send these to the NSO directly? Will the NSO get the documents from the USEM that they DO have and request the rest from my wife?

That's what I'm trying to figure out and I don't think there is a sticky that addresses that.

I know my wife has the CENOMAR, I just need to know what she is supposed to do with it and when...

  8. I'm a CR-1/IR-1 Spouse Visa- do we even need to worry about this? I keep seeing this in conection with K-1s.... not my case....

There are CR1/IR1 cases here who have been on AR for 2months becoz of document verification (edp333, roserick) so Yes, your wife still needs to pay doc. verification.

But the CENOMAR shouldn't be apart of that for CR/IR-1s, right?

  9. You know, this might be strange but- the CEMONAR...

I remember needing it at the Embassy when I got the Affidavit for Legal Capacity to marry....but I don't remember submitting it with ANY documents for this visa process...

Do CR-1/IR-1 Spouse Visa applicants even NEED a CENOMAR??? Or is that only for Fiance visas??

Am I even going to need to worry about them verifying documents?

I will pay for it but I don't think I need to worry about them actually doing it, right?

Should my wife bring her CENOMAR to the Embassy anyway?

  10. Is there a sticky available for this process. It's confusing me and I need to explain this to my wife.

What I understand so far is that the Embassy will receive everything from the NVC, including the original BC, Marriage Cert, CENOMAR, and NBI Clearance.

The Embassay sends these or some of these to the NSO for verification before the scheduled interview.

Beneficiary pays P650 at Metrobank and texts Delbros (but should also probably fax them with the same info, too)

The NSO tells the Embassy that the documents are GOOD

At the interview, the Beneficiary shows proof of payment to Delbros for the verification.

Payment should be made one month before the interview.

    That's it???

  11. After 7 mo, our case has been completed with the NVC. The interview should be in August or early September and she should have a visa by October hopefully.

Now I just have to convince her to come here before Christmas. But perhaps we'll spend one last Christmas with the fam. Then I can get her here.

Thank you VJ, *removed for spam*, and Ray B. I owe a debt of gratitude for all the information and sanity supplied during this time...

But I'm sure it wont be the last...

We still have vaccines to get, and I have to send her a big package of documents and copies and evidence.

Should we pay Delbros for the document verification after an interview appt has been set?

Can my wife get sick with all the flipping vaccines she has to get???

She has a passport so we dont have to worry about the CFO until after she gets her visa, right?

  13. My father is the household member for the I-864A. Should I send my wife W-2s of my father's for the past 3 years? Paystubs?

Should I also send my W-2s for the last 3 years???

I'll be sending pictures, paystubs, phone bills, and bank statements to my wife. I'll also be sending copies of everything I've sent to the USCIS and the NVC, including copies of original biographic documents (BC, Marriage, etc)

Is there anything else anyone can think of that I should send my wife to prepare us???

  14. On # 23, I just wrote down the colleges my wife attended. I didnt bother to write high school, etc.

I just wrote the college only, not the other schools. I just caught that after reading this. I sent NVC a formal e-mail with the other schools (elem, HS) from my wife' e-mail. Did you get an RFE for not putting her elem and HS??

Also, from my own experience, here's some of the most common reasons people get RFE at NVC.

Other names used on #27 and N/A on #28

you're saying people get an RFE because they write N/A on #28???

No NBI clearance for maiden name (if you wrote your maiden names on #20)

The name on my wife's NBI clearance is Kristine y Cuasito Alcampado de Lawrence. Her Maiden name is Kristine Cuasito Alcampado and her married name is Kristine Alcampado Lawrence. Will we get an RFE because we don't have an NBI clearance for her maiden name??

  15. PHILIPPINES::::

I was just curious if there was a website or something that could inform me of the process my wife will go through in her country after the case is complete at the NVC and forwarded to the US Embassy in Manila.

What will be mailed to my wife.

What will be requested from her.

What forms will she have to fill out.

Right now I'm getting ready to send her EVIDENCE and copies of all the forms and things I've sent here in the US to the USCIS and the NVC.

I am having her get all her vaccination records and get vaccines of those she hasn't.

    Thanks.

  17. Not to begrudge Eresh's thread tracking NOA-1 to NOA-2 timelines (s/he did a great job), but I thought it appropriate to start a new thread.

I began tracking just NOA-1s after USCIS stopped issuing NOA-1s for I-130s in late 2007. The tracking spreadsheet has evolved as USCIS has evolved and I added the NOA-2 dates for I-130 only filers as well as breaking out separate sheets between VSC and CSC and averaging the days between filing and NOA-1 receipts, NOA-2 dates and dates from filing to NOA-2s. You can find separate listings for Vermont and California right under the header.

I update the sheet every few days based on VJ time lines of CR-1/IR-1 filers. I do exclude time lines that appear to be either erroneous or DCF to try to keep the information as accurate as possible. But, it can only be as accurate as the information entered in the VJ time lines. Please make sure your information is correct and keep in mind, only California and Vermont process this type of petition.

You can find the spreadsheet here.

    :time:

I received two Notices of Action from the USCIS this year: one for the receipt, and the other for the approval. ???

  18. Since you are filing for K1..

Actually, K3 now- legal wedding in July in the PHI

Ok. That doesn't change the I-134 procedures. You would be well advised to fill out an I-134 and have it notarized. Since you are in the Philippines, you can get it notarized at the Embassy. Your father's I-134 can be notarized by any Notary in the USA. I use my insurance agent but banks have Notaries too. Given you are young and living abroad as a student, it is highly likely the financial documentation will be asked for at the interview.

Infopass is something you do with USCIS. They have no involvement with the I-134 whatsoever.

Okay. No, I am not in the Philippines now, I am in the US- so I will get it notarized in the US

  19. You need to rent a motel across the street from the embassy when you get there and get your butt to the embassy first thing in the morning for your capacity to marry, just hold up your american passport and they will let you in. get thier early. If you can spend a couple days in manila I have close friends that work in the city hall. They can help you out.
Time-wise, I can only afford to stay in Manila for one day: to get the affidavit, then I'm going to jump on a plane to go to Mindanao (south) and start the marriage process there...
