recieved my approval notice on saturday, i was approved 6/22/10
was it an e-mail or the actual letter in the mail? We got an e-mail that card production was ordered but did not receive the actual approval notice in the mail...

Congrats to all who got approved already. I'm still one of the last ones left. I figured I'd just say something because I have seen before, people worrying about not getting approved yet, then a few days later they get the email saying their case was approved. So I thought I'd give it a try lol.
we were in the same boat - no touches and no approval since 4/16/10 after the BIO until last Saturday when our case was touched and then on Monday we received an e-mail that the card production is ordered. Did not get the approval letter, I guess we will receive the card in the mail soon. Do people normally get the approval letter first and then the green card? When we were doing AOS procedure it was the case, but this time there was no approval letter...
Hang in there, they will approve you soon!

Yes, our EAD and AOS have been touched (we filed in March and still nothing). Enough to drive you just a TOUCH insane!
Our CR189 was touched yesterday, finally, after not being touched since the day after biometrics.

We filed for Removal of Conditions in February and are one of the few still waiting with no approval, denial, RFE, or appointment notice. What I do notice when I sign in to our account at USCIS is that some of our other past filings have been "updated" or as some call "touched." For instance, our I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS shows it was updated on 06/19/2010 and our I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION updated on 05/01/2010. Funny that our CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED hasn't been updated in the system since 04/01/2010. Have some of you noticed the same thing? Any idea why their system would show actions such as this, yet no update on the actual Removal of Conditions request?
We got the same thing - our Employment Authorization and Application for travel document was touched on 4/25 while the actual CRI89 was last touched on 4/16 after the fingerprints. I guess this is normal...

We are in the same boat - have lots of evidence, joint accounts, insurance, cars, etc, but no children (yet!). We filed in March and our NOA1 is dated March 17th. Had biometrics on April 15th and the last time our case was touched, according to USCIS tracking system was April 16th. No touches since, no RFE and no interview request. Many people who filed in March already got approved. I wonder if you theory correct, but also thinking what would happen if we do an infopass and just ask the officer there to check on our case. I know it is less than 6 months yet, however, it worth the try... Our local office is 7 hrs away so I would hate to go there for nothing... I wonder in anybody tried to do an infopass before 6 months processing time and what did they say?

We are now approaching 2-years on the conditional green card and will be applying to remove the conditions soon. I have a question for people with Green cards who recently went to Russia. My wife's conditional green card exprires in three months and before we will apply for removal of the conditions she wants to travel to Russia for 2 weeks. Will this cause any problems? He green card will not be expired on her way back, but she obviously will not have a receipt letter from USCIS since we will be applying after her return.
Also, I heard that now Russia requires all citizens to have biometric external passports. My wife’s passport expires in 2011, however, it is not biometric, it is the old style. Has anyone travel to Russia recently with a regular passport? I just want to make sure she will not have any problems while exiting Russia on her way back.
Thank you!

Hello!
My wife's 2-year conditional green card expires in 3 months. We will be applying to remove the conditions, however, she is also planning to travel to Russia for two weeks while her 2-year green card is still valid. Since there will be only 2 months until the expiration, do you think they can give her a trouble at the POE on her way back?
Thank you!

Hi,
I have a question - we had our AOS interview on June 4th and got approved at the interview. The officer said she ordered the production of the card and it can be 1-2 months until it comes in the mail. Later I checked the online status and it said "Card production ordered". About a week later we received the welcome letter in the mail, and today we had online status changed again saying "Approval notice sent on June 16". This is very strange as we already received the welcome letter... Is this normal? Does the online status change again when they mail the actual green card?
Thank you!

We had our AOS interview today, everything went very smoothly, we had a really nice officer. She did ask for evidence of us living together, names of my wife's parents, also for my divorce certificate from my previous marriage, both of our birth certificates and few other documents. I-485 was approved right there and card production ordered. We are so happy now!

So I am liltle bit woried..is that usualy takes that long or...
Thank U all for Ur help
My wife had her boometrics taken on 3/05/08, AOS was touched the same day, but no more updates since that time... Hang in there!

Same here, no touches since March 27th
We had AOS touch on the same day as we had biometrics - 3/05/05 and nothing since that time... AOS was filed on January 29th, EAD and AP already received... No transfer, no news, still pending at National Benefits Center. How long does it usually take to transfer after biometrics?
-
We sent our AOS package on January 29, 2008, biometrics on March 5th, 2008. Already received AP and EAD card, but the last touch for the actual AOS was on March 5th (right after the biometrics) and no news since that time. We see people getting transferred to CSC very quickly, and ours is still at National Benefits Center. Is this unusual? Should we go for infopass (it is a 650 - mile drive for us)?

We just received the advance parole document for my wife in the mail. There are two identical copies saying : I-512L, Authorization for Parole of an Alien Into the United States. Both copies have her photo on the bottom and a signature of Robert M. Cowan. I have read here that some people received three pages, one with no photograph, but we only got two. Is this normal? Also, the documents came with no instructions how to use them if we need to travel. Should we just take both pages and her passport? On the document it says that "Parole into the United States is not guaranteed." Does this mean they can deny the entry? Do we need to takle any other documents?
Thank you!

We recieved all three NOAs yesterday. I have a question though - is there separate biometrics appointments for I-485 and I-765 or they do them all at once? Looking at NOA1 for I-485 I see Application Support Center Code 3. However, on the NOA1 for I-765 the ASC Code is 2. Does this mean we will have two different biometrics at two different locations?

my packet was received at chicago on Jan 21st...it got cashed Feb 05th..... has it taken so long for anyone out there as well...... when can i expect the NOA1.
We mailed ours on January 29th, received on January 30th. So far checks are not cashed yet and no NOAs.

Hi,
I was looking through this forum and read several posts where people included two G-325A's into their adjustment of status paperwork - one form for the intending immigrant, and one form for USC. I thought that only the intending immigrant (the spouse of USC) needs to fill out G-325A for AOS. Is this not correct?
Thank you!

I am putting AOS package for my wife together and have a question - do I need to include a copy of my (the U.S. citizen) divorce certificate into the package? The instructions say that we need to fill out G-325A for my wife only, but not for me. So I assume I don't need to include a copy of my divorce certificate either.
Thank you!
-
You don't need to fill out G-325A for you, just for the intending immigrant (your husband). Include all 4 copies of this form.
Good luck!
Hi,I am doing AOS package for my husband who is on F1 visa. I am confused at the very last minute while I am putting everything together.
Everywhere when it is asking to fill out G325a, do you put all 4 pages together everytime?
If yes, how many sets of G325a (one for me n one for my husband) will I be needed in AOS package?
Also, if someone can guide me with how do you put all the forms together means in one file and labeling/tabs for each forms? or seperate file for each form?
Do I need to put all forms in any specific order?
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
I got a little question regarding I-864 we are filing with AOS packet. Is it really advisable to include 3 years of tax returns, or should 1 most recent year be sufficient? I have the income well above 125% of poverty guidelines for the past 3 years, so I don't think it is really necessary to include all 3 years of the tax returns – need to keep it as simple as possible. What is you opinion?
Thank you!

We are accembling I-485 package including I-131 Advance Parole application. I was reading the instructions for I-131 and got really confused - under General Requirements section they request an explanation or other evidence showing the circumstances that warrant issuance on an advance parole document. We are requesting the Advance Parole "just in case" and do not have a real emergency reson to travel right now. So what should I write for this explanation? Does this mean that Advance parole is issued for emergencies only? What if we just want to travel for vacation while I-485 is pending?
Secondary, they also request a copy of the USCIS receipt as evidence that we already filed for adjustment of status. However, we are filing for I-131 concurrently with I-485 so we obviously do not have the receipt yet. How should we respond to this question?
Thank you!

We are getting ready to file for AOS. While reading instructions for I-765 employment authorization, I've noticed that it is possible to e-file it. Has anyone done it before? Or do we need to file a paper I-765 if we file it concurrently with I-485?
Thank you!

They did accept the application and made a copy of her I-94. They said it will take 2-4 weeks for them to verify her status. I am just concerned that if indeed her I-94 number was entered incorrectly, would it cause any problems with AOS process which we have not filed yet? I guess will wait until it is 3 weeks from the date we filed for a new social security card and then we will try to follow up...
Something dawned on me after I replying, since this is for a name change it seems to me if something was incorrectly entered into the SAVE database, why wasn't there a problem with the original application. That makes me wonder if the person in the SSA office didn't enter the wrong number.
Shouldn't affect the AOS, since you have to send a copy of the I-94 and the petition approval that has her A# and that's more important in identifying her that the I-94 number. Plus I suspect the SAVE data isn't connected to other databases.
My wife was in the US two years ago on a J1 visa. She got her original SSN at that time, so it was a different I-94 two years ago. Thank you for all your help, we will see in a week or so if there is a problem. If she gets her social security card in the mail then it means they were able to resolve the problem.

It's possible that her or another person's I-94 number could have been keyed incorrectly by immigration or the person in the SSA office might have entered it wrong when doing the verification.
Regardless, the SSA office is just supposed to send a secondary electronic verification request if the initial SAVE query doesn't verify. Now if immigration did in fact enter the I-94 number incorrectly, I would figure on the response from the secondary electronic verification request to be a request to see a copy of the I-94 and a G-845 being sent.
What is G-845? I assume the SSA will contact us and request a copy of her I-94 and G-845 in case the secondary verification does not go through? I has been over a week and we have not heard back from them yet...
It's a form sent to immigration to request verification of status. Did they accept the SSN application? If they did you should have a reference number that starts with 08. If they accepted the application I would assume they would or should have made a copy of the I-94.

I-94 was removed from passport
in Tourist Visas

Hi,
I have a question, my mother-in-law came from Russia to stay with us for 6 months to help with our newborn baby. She does not speak any English. She came on B1 visitor visa through Atlanta POE. At the POE the officer stapled I-94 into her passport and then she proceeded to her connecting flight to Pensacola. While boarding the connecting flight, Delta person at the gate removed I-94 from her passport. I have no idea why. My mother-in-law could not ask him, and she tried to get her I-94 back from him, but he signaled to her that she does not need it and she needs to proceed into the plane.
At this point I am trying to figure out how to get a replacement I-94 for her so she can submit it at the time she goes back to Russia. We don't what her to have problems getting her visa next time. I can file I-102 with USCIS, but I really hate to pay $330.00 as it is not our fault that somebody was stupid and removed I-94 from her passport. It's been about 8 weeks since she came and she is staying until January. Should we try to call Atlanta POE?
Thank you!
