  1. Hi all,

My I-129f has been touched many times; as you can see by my status below, but my I-130 have never been touched since April; i am wonering what this means.

Is it possible that the I-129f gets touched the most and is approved and then the I-130 is touched just one time and approved as a formality as the I-129f is already approved. Just a questions.

Beleive me I know the wait can be devastating, but these things do get approved. Just to put your mind at ease... hopefully. My I-130 was touched just once in three months, then no touches till approval day. The I-129F was touched a few times, the first was the transfer to california, then a month later a few more touches, then nothing for more than a month, finally the approval emails show up.

  2. I sent an email to embassy if they got our case and they replied third time with the SAME answer, Dear Sir/ Madam we have not received the physical file yet and contact us after TWO weeks.

NVC claim they send it on May 31st.

Hopefully by the end of this week, consulate should have it.

    Data Sheet

Same here man. I emailed them twice, they only replied back to the last one on monday saying the exact same

thing, we have the electronic file but are waiting on the paper file, contact back after two weeks. And NVC said

they had sent it on the 31st of May. I guess we should keep each other posted.

  3. Hi everyone,

My wife just informed me that AMEX called and asked her to pick up her passport. She went there during her lunch break and got her passport and new K3 visa.

She also received a semi-sealed package and was told not to open it. I believe this is for the immigration officer at the POE. She can see inside the envelope and said all her checklist documents appear to be inside.

As you can imagine, I'm pretty happy about all of this. It also shows some hope to the others that were worried about their future interviews.

    Good luck to everyone.

Congratulations! and wishing you a speedy reunion.

I figured she was approved based on the information you provided post interview.

  5. I made reservations to meet my husband to be, at peshawar airport in October. This will be my first time in Pakistan. I am wondering if anybody has been in this airport and if there were any problems that occured? I am alittle nervouse about it becouse this is only my second time that Ive been out of the country. He says I have nothing to worry about.

I advise you first get vacinated against illness in pakistan contact the CDC reguarding what shots you can get. I recommend this because, pakistan is NASTY, the water is not good either. you are bound to get some kind if stomic illness. I will also advise you never to drink the water there. dont even brush your teeth with that water, never use ice. drink only bottled water and bottle drinks. also have your husband to be to taste your food before taking. bring shower gell instead of bar soap because, if the water problem- showe gel gets a better foam vs bar soap, bring wet wipes, and extra lady products. bring something for diareaa, upset tummy.

You can find NASTY right here. So your limited experience is not justification enough for you to use that word in connection with Pakistan. I really like the bit about using your husband as the food taster, just goes to show you the mentality...

  6. Khurram/Oasriz & Anyone else,

I may sound like a broken record, but I am going nuts trying to figure out if I should go or not. Tickets are very expensive (1,650) + other expenses while I am there. Everyone is advising to save my money and vacation time to enjoy with my wife here when she comes to the US. The confusion is that i've seen many women going on AP now. Some had said that it doesn't make a difference if i'm there. I somehow think that me being there will help. AM I allowed in the interview, maybe my case will be stronger????? Not to mention, I really miss my wife too.

At the end of the day it is your choice. I am planning on being there for my wifes interview, as they have sent my wifes K3 to the embassy and I also think my being there will make a difference. I will be in the same boat with expensive tickets, expenses, few vacation days, etc. The way I see it, one way or the other at least I'll have some time to spend with my wife. The way I see it is if you can go, then you should go. Remember its only money, you can always earn more or make adjustments, but everyday without her is a day you will never get back. Like you said... I really miss my wife too.

  7. I know this has been answered before, but I must ask again. My wife's travel agent continues to insist that she'll need a transit visa for the UK.. when her PIA flight will travel from islamabad to chicago and stopover briefly in manchester.

Every website I've checked states if you have a US entrance visa, you don't need a UK transit visa. I've asked her to talk to PIA directly and/or a different travel agent.

Unless, rules have recently changed, could someone confirm that they did not need one traveling through the UK to the US on a K3 visa?

Thank you very much and good luck everyone.

I think you need to get a different travel agent, obiviously the present one is clueless.

  8. hello vj friends.....

Please help me with this matter....I have interviewed June 6 and i heared that the consular told its okay and wait for my name to be called for the releasing....

Heres my questions guys... While waiting for my name to be called at the releasing place they me give me my other documents like pictures...and they give me the pink slip and told me to pay delbros for my visa delivery but aside from that the girl told me and give me a papers stating that they will need to have further review regarding my papers..i Im quiet confusing why i need the other paper stating that they need to have further review since there is no other requirement that should be check for me to submit on that paper. Please help me...

Why they need to have further review since i have complete papers?

    Why i pay delbros?

Why they dont check anything for me to submit in case its lack of evidence for me to know?

    What will i do?

How long am i going to wait till i get my visa?

PLEASE HELP ME..........MY VISA WAS APPROVED BUT I DONT KNOW WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO ISSUE MY VISA.....Please help me....im getting too much stress with this matter

    thanks.....GOd Bless!!!

    lyn

You are on what is called Administrative Review (AR), basically a background/security check, you will have to wait it out, no way around it, as far as I know. Almost all male and some female applicants going thru the islamabad embassy (pakistan) have to endure this exact same thing for various periods of time.

  9. Opinion regarding nikah and I-130 needed ....

A lot of people do nikahs in Pakistan and than come back and file for I-130 and at a later date go back and rukhsati happens.

My question is .... technically ... can you file I-130 if the marriage wasn't consummated (which is rukhsati, right)?

My nikkah was in November 2001 and wife file I-130 in 2002 and rukhsati was in 2004. I told CO about this even he did not ask me about this. Then he ask me to show both function pictures.

    Zaki

As far as I know the legal document that establishes the marriage date is the Nikah Nama. Islamicaly and legally you are considered married on the date in the nikah nama. The delayed ruksati is just cultural horse***t. I do not think consummation comes into play at all.

  10. hi to everyone

my husband's interview is on aug 28, 2007 at islamabad, pakistan.

the problem is that he works and lives in Abu Dhabi, UAE for over 5 - 6 yrs and working for the defense. I asked for a file transfer from Abu Dhabi US embassy they said "NO BECAUSE HE IS FRM PAKISTAN AND ITS A K- 3 VISA + YOUR MARRIAGE TOOK PLACE IN PAKISTAN" So now he has to make extra arrangments from his work to take time off and go to pakistan get the medical done and police certificate from both locations.

Now my questions is: Does anyone know if the US embassy in Islamabad keeps the passport for visa issuance or do they mail the visa or I know they can stamp but will not because its a man appplying for visa so they have to time for secuirty clearance. The reason why I'am asking this question is because my husband will return to abu dhbai on sep 5 2007 and of course for re entry he needs his passport with residence visa.

one more question: does anyone have any Idea where hotels near the emabssy are n cost etc never been to Islamabad so pls help

Its so stupid because we live 5 mins away from the US embassy in Abu Dhabi, UAE. but we have to go to Islamabad embassy

    ok

    thanks

You need to ask the question in the islamabad thread.

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...=79&st=3645

From what I have read in the previous posts there, it seems to be both ways. In your case it will be a valid reason to return your husbands passport as he will need it to travel back to his place of employment. The K-3 has to be issued in the country of marriage I beleive that is mandated in the K-3 law. Make sure your husband explains his situation at the embassy clearly. More than likely he will have to return back to islamabad once they are ready to issue the visa.

  11. Great document Khurram. What are you having your wife do during the wait? I believe you started inquiring about additional vacctinations for later. My wife's travel agent again insists she needs a transit visa to go through the UK. I want her to speak directly to a PIA spokesperson as well, as we have all found information to the contrary.

I should get the scan of the documents they gave my wife along with the questions they asked her. Of course, I'll post them here as soon as I get them.

She received two documents. One was a white sheet of paper with the local AMEX information. The other was a small pink square sheet that has 4 digits written on it., no words I'm hoping this is just the token.

    Good luck to everyone.

Unless I am missing something. sounds like she will have the visa shortly. Congrats again.

  12. I called yesterday NVC again and lady told me they have forward our K-3 case to Islamabad on May 31st. this is good news.

Now how can I check if Islamabad got it or not. I sent them email but did not get reply back.

I have the ISL case number with me.

    Thanks,

    Data Sheet

I just emailed them yesterday with the case number in the subject line and inquired about the case, no reply yet. But from previous experience with them, it takes them a few days to reply. I may have jumped the gun as they also forwarded my case on the 31st.

  13. All,

My wife's K3 interview was today and I just wanted to let you know the brief things I found out already.

She was told by the lady she is approved and should get her visa in "a few weeks". The embassy kept all her documents that were on the checklist, including her passport, all the certificates, and all my tax information.

My wife was handed a white paper with some american express locations written on them, plus a pink square sheet of paper that did not state any information clearly.

My wife told me the lady who interviewed her didn't seem to be a good mood from the beginning and asked tons of questions and smiled barely once. Compared to what i've read here, it appears my wife had many more questions to answer. They asked alot about me and how we met in detail. Her interview time was at 8 in the morning and she was already back home by 10:30, so it went much quicker than I thought.

I'm going to talk to her in detail later today and post more information then. I'm glad the interview went well and hopefully this wait/AR will be over soon. The fact that they embassy kept all her info and passport I believe is a good thing.

Thank you all for your help.... and just another hundred more steps or so until the entire visajourney is over.

    Congrats.

I beleive they are supposed to give you an official document if they put you on AP/AR, correct me if I am wrong. You might want to have her scan the papers have them emailed to you.

  14. Does anyone know how long it takes for the i130 to be sent to NVC. I got approved on May 22, 2007. Please guys do dua for me because I want my husband here by September because I'm due to give birth that month. Any tips on making it go fast would be very much appreciated. THanks.

You might want to check out some of the comments and times of folks who have posted here.

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...=79&st=3600

This is the thread of folks going thru Islamabad, read thru some of the older posts to aquaint yourself with the hassles

most men and some women are facing going thru islamabad. You might want to PM some of the folks who just went thru with CR-1 process to get an idea... hope this helps.

  15. Just found out that my case has left to the consulate (chennai, India). Thank God!!!!!!!

I have a question for the forum. I am getting conflicting information from what my lawyer is telling me versus what the NVC representative is telling me. I received an email from CSC saying that my I-129F was sent to the NVC on the 23rd of May. From what I read on the FAQ and K3 guide in VJ, once the NVC receives the petition it is assigned a case number and then forwarded directly to the embassy. My lawyer is telling me that is not true. She said once the NVC assigns a case number, it is sent back to us with a packet that we have to complete (AOS) and send back to the NVC and then they forward to the embassy.

My situation has another twist. I have also filed for the I-130 and the NVC sent us the bar coded packet with the DS-230 and I-864 on 5/22 (we still havent received it).

My primary goal is to bring my wife here as quickly as possible since she is 5 months pregnant.

In my opinion, the K3 will be received in Venezuela before the I-130, but my lawyer thinks otherwise. If the information in the FAQ is correct that the NVC directly forward to the emabssy, the I-129 petition can be there as early as next week. Since we still havent received the I-130 packet yet, I am predicting it can take up to anotjer 4-6 weeks before the I-130 gets to Venezuela.

Can somebody help clarify? What would you guys do if you were in my situation?

What you have is the designation of agent form and then they will send you a bill for the fee. These things still need to be done before the I-130 is forwarded to the embassy, do not know how long but you are still looking at 3-4 months more or less. I-129F will make it to the embassy well before that. From what I have read here in the forum, is that, if you have a pending I-129F interview and the embassy receives the I-130, they will reschedule you for a later date and process the I-130. Going the I-130 route has its benefits, as she will get a green card soon after arriving and will be able to work. For the I-129F your wife will need do the Adjustment of Status (AOS) before she gets her green card. Lately USCIS has been holding the approved I-130 here and just forwarding the I-129F to the embassy, i am guesing in your case there must have been quite a gap between filing the I-130 and I-129F. Plus you need to figure out how far your embassy is scheduling both types of interviews, which will give you an idea on the time frame. Hope this helps. I am not a lawyer, these are just my opinions. I would go for the I-129F since its already on its way to the embassy, send in the Agent form, but hold off on paying the fee.

  16. I can't say it any better than my wife has said it.

I try to stay positive - not just for me but for Rings, who I love and cherish and worry about, and who I want to be strong for. I don't always succeed. Many of these days I feel like I am only half a person, trying to fill my days with things that might mean something to anyone else but to me they are just ways to get through the time while my life sits on somebody's desk waiting to be processed.

I know I should be thankful that we are on our way. I should be thankful that I have such a wonderful wife and so much to look forward to. I should be thankful that I have been given the chance to love and to be loved. I should be thankful my story hasn't yet become like some I have read here, including those of some of you who have posted here in this thread. I should be happy that I still have hope, and that I may be home by Christmas if everything goes smoothly.

My heart breaks for any of you who have had to wait, who have been questioned or denied even though your love is real. I do understand why the process is difficult, and why the US government needs to determine that relationships and marriages are genuine. But while I know that they are just being careful, I desperately wish that they could just see us together, just look at the love in our eyes and know that we are doing this because we cannot live without our love. I wish that I could make them understand the hurt that we go through every day that we are forced to wait.

    I wish...

I wish so many things, but most of all I just wish I could begin my life with the girl I want to grow old with.

To all of you who hurt, who have been made to wait, who have been questioned and refused and who have had to justify your love to some government employee...I hope your life after this awful wait is filled with happiness and fulfilment, enough to wash away the pain that leads to the beginning of something truly magical.

You guys (the poster and Loke) seem to have been touched on 5/17. Did you guys try calling the USCIS RFE number to check on your status. I remember last week; many people getting approvals on the phone even when the website wasnt updated. I hope your 5/17 touches on both petitions were approvals :) and they are already at NVC...

My I-130 was touched just once before approval... no touches for 3 whole months. My I-129F was touched last in april with the message changing to pending, then on May 17 I got emails for approval for both of them. All I can say there is no rhyme or reason to the touches. Hang in there, I feel you all.

  17. is this normal? i see some who filed after us were approved. Most of the march filers were approved few days ago and we never got any touches. Is this freakin' normal? i am starting to freak out...

*he doesn't know that i cry in my sleep. I miss my husband so bad...

My I-130 was touched just once when they transfered it to california, then nothing until approval after 3 months.

  18. I sent a letter to NVC via USPS priority mail. Its been a week and online tracking system is still saying 'In Transit'

Does anyone know how long US Post Office take to deliver 2 Day Priority mail? Snail Mail !!!!!!

My experience with USPS online tracking has been the same, their system does not provide updates as often. There was a time when I found out via phone call that the letter had been delivered, but online it was still saying in transit.
