You put down the country that your fiance will be living in at the time of interview. It doesn't have to be Canada. How long is the working holiday for? I'm not sure about the Irish process, but all i-129f forms go to the USCIS in the US first, for the longest part to approval.

His Canadian visa is good until the end of October. So it's a bit

It will depend on where he currently resides for the interview.

Does he plan on moving back to Ireland before the K1 visa wraps up? If so, you will put Ireland. If not, it will HAVE to be Canada. You do not get to pick the consulate you interview at.

All I-129Fs go to California to be processed, then NVC, and then their individual consulates for an interview.

Thank you! His Canadian visa expires in 8 and a half monthsso it's really hard to know where he will be. He could stay in Canada as a tourist for awhile if need be.

  2. Hello! My partner is Irish and currently resides in Canada under a working holiday visa. We are getting ready to submit our I-129F and are wondering (in regards to Part 2 Question 62) does he have to apply in Canada because that is where he currently resides?

I was looking at the K1 timelines on Visa Journey and it looks like the Irish processes go faster. I'm not sure if the country filter is looking at the person's nationality or where they apply, but looking to do whatever we can to make the process go quickly.

    Thank you for the help!
