Finally sent our package today!
I was eligible to send it as early as June 27th, but we were moving to another apartment and July was just all crazy. I am glad it's finally on the way and hope for we didn't do any mistakes on the forms and docs!
I’m so glad we’re not the only ones!

Am sorry for the new development but I was expecting this to happen. This is heart broken, I know how you are feeling right now, my interview was scheduled for 23rd next week monday but in all let the will of God be done.
Ours was rescheduled last minute after waiting months so I totally understand your frustration.

Just checking to know how everyone is holding up! Stay positive! We will all get through this!!
Thanks! It’s not easy for sure. Our AOS interview was rescheduled.

Hey! Where do we go once we have the interview? It was yesterday and the CEAC status is ‘Administrative Processing’ as of this evening. I read the pdf and hoping it changes soon.
-
Yes, we did. He was able to go without any records except yellow fever. If you don’t have one then the Dr just gives you them during the medical exam. It is an extra charge but worth it since he couldn’t find any records.

Hi! I just want to ask regarding the documents for the affidavit of support. Do I really have to have the original documents? or can he scan it and send it to me through email? Just want to know if its possible. Thank you.
Hi! My fiancé called the embassy in Peru and they told him it had to have my original signature. I would recommend checking with your embassy just to make sure.

Check your country's sub-forum as I know different embassies have their own ways of scheduling your interviews - everyone gets this same message regardless of location.
For example here in the UK you have to have already attended your medical before you can even book the interview. Some countries the embassy will provide you with an interview date, others you have to book your own a certain way, etc.
We got the same standard message even though we can’t schedule the interview yet.

Get your case number first. Then complete the DS-160. Go to ceac.state.gov and use your case number and choose immigrant. Next and if your case is in "ready" condition then pay your interview fee, schedule your interview and complete the medical exam. Read more from the PDF.
@Greenbaum Thanks so much!!!

Super helpful so thank you for sharing! When in the process were you able to pay the fees and schedule the interview? My fiancé submitted the DS-160 but CEAC says at NVC and he wasn’t able to schedule the interview yet.
@Greenbaum - Can you help? I posted a question over a week ago in the Latin American forum but no one responded. My fiancé received a message stating his interview isn’t ready to be scheduled yet. We’re assuming our file had to leave NVC first. Neither of us has received any email or letter from NVC. The only information we have gotten has been from this forum so it’s been super helpful including the PDF that you compiled. We just don’t want to slow anything down by not paying the fees yet but haven’t found any way to do so yet.

I'd love to share the information about CEAC status with you, just in case it can be reference for your case. Background: Beneficiary country is China. I129F was submitted in Feb, NOA2 on May 8.
June 6: Case created. Got the case number by calling 603 334 0700. It said case AT NVC when tracking status on CEAC.
June 13: My fiance(petitioner) received email notification from NVC, saying case will forward to consulate.
June 14 to June 16: Case status changed to READY.
June 17 to June 19: Status changed to Administrative Processing.
Since June 19: The last updated date stopped updating. (an assumption that when it stops updating the date, you'll receive P3 soon.)
June 21: P3 Mail received.
We didn't check status during June 6 to June 14 so I'm not sure if the case changed to In Transit or not.
Super helpful so thank you for sharing! When in the process were you able to pay the fees and schedule the interview? My fiancé submitted the DS-160 but CEAC says at NVC and he wasn’t able to schedule the interview yet.

I have read the pdf, when you get the message that they have high volume (and it eventually hangs up on you) just keep redialing until you get the normal message with the prompts for language than to press 7...
It worked well for me any time of day but quickest first thing when they open.

You can use it to complete your DS-160. Same with scheduling the medical and interview. So what's the point that you are complaining about a topic that been kicked around more then a soccer ball in the world cup? It's detailed in most of the NOA2 to NVC threads. Its in the pdf file. Its on your embassy's website. It's in their P3 letter. Come on stop complaining start doing some of the heavy lifting.
You are funny. Thanks again for all of the information! I have passed along to my competent fiancé. I did read your pdf file many times. He actually can’t schedule the medical until he physically has the letter in his country. @Greenbaum you should start charging

K-1's do not pick and agent nor do they pay their fees at this website. This is for "status" only enquiry for K-1's. If you were a CR-1 then you would follow the directions and complete the NVC stage of processing.
All you're interested in is following my instructions to arrive at your current status with your case file. That's all this is used for, for a K-1.
So what was the point of calling to get the case number if all I can do is wait now?

Everybody gets this page. It's the first page when you land at ceac.state.gov. You are doing something wrong. Do me a favor in your browser type in the address ceac.state.gov. Screen shoot the page and post it here. I'd like to see what you are bumping into.
Oh wow 😮 So I cleared my cache and this address worked to check the status. It won’t let me complete step one to pick an agent or step 2 to pay fees without the invoice ID.

Make sure in the drop down menu you select immigrant visa!
Hmmm. It doesn’t give that option. It asks if I’m the petitioner, attorney, etc. Am I supposed to leave off the letters for the invoice number?
-
https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx
It requires an Invoice ID which isn’t the WAC number (I tried).
Help!

The invoice number that NVC assigns I am not sure what it is for maybe an internal thing, but you do not need it to continue on. The only other case number like @Greenbaum told you about is the WAC case number you got way back when you got your NOA1 from USCIS.
Thank you both! I’ll try to proceed with this information. Appreciate the help!

Case ID? You mean case number, right? Thae case number is what you need to continue forward.
What letter? The letter with your case number? No that's the reason everyone is calling NVC every 10 minutes. The case number and receipt number is used to complete the DS-160.
The invoice number is the WAC#.
I’m really confused. Yes I meant the case number which I received on the phone today but was told they cannot give me the invoice ID because of security reasons. I need both the invoice ID and the case number in order to complete the first step in the process of assigning an agent and then paying the fees. What am I missing?
-
Can you do anything with only the case ID and not the invoice ID? Do I have to just wait for the letter? I was told they won’t give out the invoice ID on the phone due to security reasons.

Thank you! While I don’t love waiting, it makes me feel better to know that sometimes it really does take a while.
Wait. Did you mean that they assigned it only 3 days later? I think I might have misread your post.

Greetings! What a delightful K-1 journey! How do I find the average time that the NVC is taking to assign a case number? When I called today, they said it can take up to 8 weeks. I have followed similar timelines to mine and others are receiving them the same day or within a couple of days. I was wondering if maybe people are just not accurately updating their timelines. Any information is greatly appreciated!
