I think he's talking about the validity period of the SLEC medical... if I remember correctly, they do a separate medical checkup in the US and might not use the SLEC medical as a reference...
I hope this helps those who are needing to get COC from Singapore. Specifically for NON-SINGAPORE CITIZENS who are NO LONGER STAYING IN SINGAPORE.
The fastest way to get it is to go there yourself after submitting an appeal to apply for COC which took 5 business days to get approved and then applying for the COC itself after that which took 2 business days. After payment, you will receive an email saying that you can now schedule your fingerprinting sessions, make sure that you'll select 'pick up'. Then you can go ahead and buy a ticket to SG, go for your fingerprinting and you'll get it just a few minutes after! That's it! The only challenge that I had is the scheduling of the fingerprinting session cuz the earliest available date at that time is July 27 and I got my payment confirmation from the Singapore Police Force on the 1st week of July.
I needed it for my K1 visa (just got approved yesterday ).
