Hello, great community,
So, I got the approval for my mother I-130 case on May 24th. The things I will need help for and ask about are the following:
1 - What are forms I need to submit to the national visa center (NVC) to complete the process?
2 - What are the forms required to submit ASO packet for my mother's green card application while she is waiting on her visa to be processed?
3 - Approximately, what is the waiting time until my mother will get her visa to the Embassy?
Thank you all for your help and support.

Unfortunately our case took longer to be approved than average. So don’t take it as a reference. And you also have an expedited case so hopefully your case will move faster:
PD: March 28, 2018
RFE: beginning of December, 2018
Approval date: ?
Sent to NVC: January 14th, 2019
We got RFE because in my country, birth certificate is not a hardcopy certificate. You go to Civil Records Office and submit a request for a print of your civil records (birth, marriage, divorce..etc) with the reason you need it. My mom wrote “to be submitted to American authorities for immigration” so they’ve printed the English version of it for her and stamped / signed it.
She got an RFE for not sending the original but only the translation!
So in December, my mom wrote the reason “personal use” and got a copy in her country’s language, then paid a translation office (to English again.) Then it got approved by USCIS. Crazy but true, what a comedy!
Great information, really appreciate the help and support. Thank you so much.

Mokhaleel, that June 4th case they put up there is the “newest dated” case they’re processing, among thousands of cases. It doesn’t mean the “oldest” case in process.
Theorically, the best place to check your status is https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do but unfortunately statuses aren’t updated real time. Many people got approval (or rfe) letters in the mail whilst their status still reading “we have received your case”.
Only time I’ve seen a different status there for my mom was “we have sent your case to the department of state” which meant they approved the I-130 and sent it to National Visa Center.
I’m attaching a screen shot of what that (approval status) looked like:
6Thanks a lot Junior, yep, my mom's case is still processing. May i ask how long it took the status in your mom case to change from reviewing to move to the department of state, just to have an estimation of the processing time, i know it different from case to case though. Thank you again

Thank you, below the break down of the process
1 - Case was received by USCIS on June 4th, 2018
2 - We submitted an expedite request on Dec, 2018
3 - According to the USCIS website as im typing this comment they are processing cases from June 5th, 2018
This means that they should be done with cases from June 4th, 2018. My question is, are we suppose to hear soon for case update? as the processing time showing 7.5 to 10 months for similar cases. Thank you

Hello everyone
The topic/question today is related to bringing a parent of a US citizen from Iraq under I-130. Our case was received to the US for processing on June 4th, 2018, and the processing time as of today (March, 18th,2018) on the USCIS official website is showing that the cases in process are the cases received on (June 5th, 2018) which means they are done/finished processing the cases received on June 4th, 2018. Can anyone help if you know if this means my case is already processed, or should we receive anything soon? Really appreciate all the support and help. Thank you so much

I tried to expedite my husbands case way back when for the same humanitarian reason and I was informed it was denied so I just assume they information everyone when they get denied or approved.
Im sorry to hear that your expedite was denied, i thought i was supposed to receive an answer within 5 days to 2 weeks max, that was Dec2018. still didnt' hear anything, and everytime we call, we get the same answer
"Still showing nothing from the review of the expedite request".
Thank you

If you see action then you know your case has been expedited, usually you aren't told it has not.
I hope that's what happened, thx a lot for your comment
1 hour ago, Khallaf said:no sorry, it just means they took for example a box home that has many different petition but if they took it home there is a good chance they are now working on it, however can't say if it will be completed sooner.
for example if in that box they take home the officer sends out a RFE, everything can potentially be put on hold until the RFE gets returned on that case.
I am surprised you didn't hear back about the expedite in November, normally they answer expedites within 7 days.
i know, same here, last time i called was Dec2018 n still didnt hear anything, hopefully, we hear some gd news soon. thx

did you file AOS as if she was here in USA? or is she in Iraq, if you expedited June 2018 you would have heard something back then.
I assume you were a USC back when you first filed
Telework is what many do when adjudicating files they take a stack home to work on, they have so many days in the office and so many days out of the office and work from home.
Thank you so much for your reply, she s still in Iraq yes when we filed for her,
We expedited her case around Nov 2018
Yes, i filed when i got my citizenship
so taking the case home doesnt mean that they will work on it "faster" ?
Thanks again.

that should be a gd news i hope. thx for your comment.

Morning all
im a US citizen and trying to bring my mother from Iraq, we filed the I-130 for her on June 2018, also we submitted an expedite request for her case due to humanitarian reasons, and her case is in Nebraska service center. Last time we visited the Houston visa service center on February 2019, we were informed by a USCIS officer that the case was taken home by an officer/case supervisor 48 hours ago for telework?. My question is, can anyone help on this issue, did anyone hear about this "telework" thingy before? according to the processing times, such cases are supposed to take 7-10 months, and we still didn't hear anything about my mother's case. Thank you all for the help.

Hello everyone, I'm a US citizen and my wife is a Canadian citizen, we filed the I-130 package for her including I-130, I-131, I-765, I-485, I-864. We are waiting now for her travel document. My question is, as a Canadian citizen, can she travel to Canada and come back to the US even without her travel document? Thank you
