please I urgently need advice on what necessary steps or actions to take regarding my Mother's situation. About 6  months ago I was lucky to secure an interview appointment date for the month of August for my mother at the American embassy in Abuja after painfully searching , night and days. we finally got an interview date in Abuja because Lagos embassy has no date until 2023. But 5 days ago my mother got an email from the embassy help desk that her interview was canceled , and requested her to re-schedule , the earlier date again for Abuja is November 2022 while the earliest  for Lagos is october 2023. I just felt canceling her appointment  is very unfair and unjust,  especially for a 73 year old woman coming to see her only daughter and grand daughter who was born during the COVID19 lock down. 

please send the email received from the US Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria, and all suggestions are welcomed. Some friends suggested writing the Department of state, the Ambassador, Ned price (spokesperson of the  state depart), etc.... I need help asap.

Can a K1  with a pending application to adjust status  and pending  employment authorization document  apply for a Texas driver’s license ? Can an individual present immigration documentation with an alien or I-94 number or Form I-797 indicating pending I-485 or pending application for adjustment of status to apply for a texas driver license? or do i need to wait until EAD which is taking long for a K1 to be approved ?

Does Request for Initial Evidence (RFIE) on the AOS (Form I-485) have any impact on the EAD or Advance Parole for a K1 visa?

Can the RFIE delay the EAD? The RFIE letter I received has to do with re-submitting a copy of the birth certificate or other primary birth record?

would this cause any kind of a hold-up or delay since I had already had my Biometrics completed a Month ago and I just received the letter for initial evidence today?

firstly, Im sorry you resigned from your job, I dont think you should have done that without a visa yet because that is clearly stated not to leave your job, not to sell your house, not to buy a flight ticket until your visa was granted

secondly, you might as well go ahead and get married and file for a spousal visa, i might be wrong but i think one of the red flag was your fiance "visited you for about 9 times just within a year". the embassy can make an argument that you might as well go ahead and married..... also what specify questions were asked at the embassy????

It is now 12 days since K1 visa was approved by the embassy in Lagos, typically visas should be ready for collection within 10 business days after approval at the interview.

Now frustrations and curiosity are setting in because the CEAC STATUS CHECK is still showing “Administrative processing”, but on the USTRAVELDOCS.COM  website the initial message changed from "Your passport is still with the US Embassy/Consulate"  and now showing "Document Delivery Information:" . I am a bit worried, because I read it could take 3 to 4 weeks for administrative processing status, is this true? Was there something wrong after the interview was approved? Please I’m seeking advice per my situation, is this normal or “very” abnormal?

Please help, what can I do ?

 Our case was ready for interview since November 2018, but our Validity ends January 2019, still no interview date, but was able to get an interview date in April 22,  please can  this affect our chance of been granted K1 fiancee visa? Its was very very tough getting an interview date since last year November but finally got a date for April 22, but my main concern is if our petition already expired in January 23rd, can this affect out chance of securing a Visa? 

1. Can scheduling an interview months after Validity expired Affect your K1 visa approval chance?

2. Fiancee had prior been divorced and has a child , we are not including the child for now until later , does these make our case complicated or attract more scrunity ??
