  1. Speaking from my own experience, my birth was not registered by parents and then when it came to applying for K1 visa last year, I went to the local municipal corporation to get a Non avialibity of birth certificate and got two affidavits by mom and aunt attesting to the fact that I was born at place on that day. It was suffice for my application and visa was granted early this year.

  2. Non aviability of birth certificate should be from office where civil documents are issued like Municipal corporation in case of towns and gram panchayat for villages. So if your mother is born in village then NABC from Gram Panchayat is suffice.

Have two affidavit made in name of persons who has witnessed your mother's birth in that place.

these three documents NABC, 2 affidavit attesting to your mother's birth will be enough.

If there is any part of these documents which is in Hindi, then get it translated and notorize it

  3. When I was lining up for my K1 visa interview at New Delhi embassy in January this year, there was a lady in front of me with her parents and she was sponsoring her them to USA.

The guards at the embassy prevented her from entering the embassy along with her parents in spite of much pleading from her and she was forced to stay outside.

So I assume US embassy in India don't allow anyone except the actual beneficiaries.

  4. Hi Foxytiger

speaking from my own experience, I underwent immigration medical test at Apollo hospital in New Delhi for my K1 visa and I usually have issue of high blood pressure ( family genes I guess 🙁) and my BP reading was 90/150 that time.

Obviously it must have gone on my health record that I presented to US embassy during my interview but it didn't raised any issue and my visa was granted.

So don't work yourself into worry and keep clam.

    Wish you all the best,

    Cheers !!
