After 189 days, my wife's EAD was finally approved today!! 😄

For those of you that already were approved, were the I-765 and I-131 approved around the same time (within a week) or weeks apart?

    Congrats!!

yesterday morning, my EAD status was updated to "New Card is being produced" and AP was still "Finger prints has taken" and today, both EAD and AP status is updated to "Case was approved".

so i guess you'll be getting an AP approval notice anytime soon :)

I think there are different requirements depending on the country. We provided a signed notarial certificate and translation for the birth certificate in addition to the birth certificate and translation.

thanks for your reply. may i also ask who signed the notarial certificate for you. is he/she a lawyer or work for the government?

btw, my BC was issued from Macau and the BC and translation that i submitted originally are with the official embossed round seal which i thought would be considered as notarized.

    thanks.

  3. Hi, may I know how did you end up dealing with this situation? Cause I seem have an exact same situation as yours only I was born in Macau. I mailed them the original copy of my birth certificate and a translation and both are with a steel stamp which should be considered as notary. However, I still receive a RFE with request for notarial certificate of birth. It’d be appreciated if you don’t mind sharing your experience. Thanks

  4. hi all, i recently receive a RFE with request of my Notarial Certificate of Birth (as picture below). my question is, i'm pretty sure that i had enclosed my original birth certificate and a translation document in the file which are both side printed. should i send it in one side printed copy instead to fix it? i'm a bit confused here and would like to know if anyone can share your experience or opinion.

    thanks

I just realized I submitted my application under category a6. Got the NOA1 today and they automatically changed it to c9. Don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll be fine too.

Aww, thank you so much for letting me know. hope mine will be corrected as well (finger crossed)

may i ask are you gonna send a correction document to the office where your application was delivered to or you are gonna leave it as it was?

    Ok.Thanks!

would you keep us posted of the situation please? i recently filed the AOS with I-765 as well but i notice that i put the incorrect eligibility category as well while USCIS haven't confirm receipt my application yet.

i try to look up online for the solution and i saw ppl said that USCIS will sometimes make the necessary adjustment. ref. as below link.
