My fiance & I went for my interview to Mumbai Consulate on 16 May 2019. At the interview, my visa was approved but when I went to collect my passport, it was on AP. The consulate also sent a questionnaire, asked for resume, publications details, transcripts, etc. We sent the documents in a hurry and made a mistake (typo) in the case number and sent an old resume. We received automatic confirmation for that email. We, later on, sent a corrected email but we didn't get any confirmation automatic response for that. We have contacted the support-india team too but no help. Please suggest. Thank you

Hi, is there something special about your situation due to which they would ask for that? Resume, transcripts, etc is not on the list of documents to bring to the interview. They ask for educational details on the DS160 form, and we did provide that. Please advice. I am preparing for my fiance's interview on June 7th. Thank you in advance.

    Absolutely!

We read over the piece of paper that was given to us and we gathered everything we could. I had photos, Facebook posts, messages and call logs, all wedding plans and receipts (dress, cake, venue, link to wedding website), and financial transaction for W.U or Money Gram, and notarized letters showing intent to marry.

Anything that was listed and we didn’t have i.e wedding rings we explained why on a list of documents

Thanks so much! Just a follow up, I have given my fiance roughly 60 pages of evidence, in 5 different sets:

    1. i134 and supporting documents,

    2. proof of relationship (like chat screenshots, call logs, photos, my india air travel and passport stamps)

    3. wedding plan (just the court marriage plan written out, and reception hall rental agreement)

    4. fresh letters of intent

anything else you can think that i might need? also, does the consulate at least take a quick glance at all the documents? and if you're asked a question for which one the documents is evidence, can you answer it and point to the document? thank you in advance!

    Ours did the same thing:

Status: Application Recieved Nonimmigrant Visa- 05/07/2019

Status: Administrative Processing Nonimmigrant Visa 05/08/2019

    Status: Issued Nonimmigrant Visa 05/09/2019

Hi Tara and Rohit, can you please shed additional light on what pieces of "proof of relationship" you brought to the interview, and what additional evidence you provided for the 221g? Thank you and congratulations on your approval ! I am in the process of gathering my evidences right now.

My fiancee called the California office this morning and got a call back from a rude Tier 2 agent who gave a standard speil and then hung up on her as she was asking for his badge number. He told her our case is pending and that they have 88 more days to make a decision before our case goes outside of normal processing time, at which time he might be able to help her. He said he could not tell her anything else because they still have 88 days and the speed all depends on the case load of the duty officer dealing with our case. So.....we learned nothing by calling. NOA1 on the egov website October 18, 2018. NOA1 on the myuscis website October 23, 2018. We're in no different a position than we were before we called but it seems more frustrating because he was so rude!

What is the phone number for the California Service Center? Does calling it directly get you to a tier 2 officer? Thank you

Are there still a lot of us waiting for approval with a September 2018 NOA1? I am 9/28, and still no word. I see many approvals in the October 2018 NOA1 forums.

I called USCIS, and was notified that there is an RFE dated 2/15. I have not received anything in the mail yet, and the online statuses have not been updated (both old and new website) and only show that the case was received on 9/28 (old) and 10/03 (new). I can only wonder what it must be, as I (thought) I sent a petition with all requested evidences and checked against the checklist they provide. This is my 2nd I-129F petition, as previous fiance broke up with me (after petition approval, but did not proceed further with it), so I did request the IMBRA waiver. The wait for the physical letter begins. 😣

Just as I thought I was losing my mind, my fiancé received silent approval today in the mail! We have our NOA2!  We are so happy!!!! :D
The Notice date is Feb 14, which is both my fiances birthday and of course valentines day, and little did we know that, that day they approved our case! :D
    NOA1 Sept. 26
    NOA2 Feb. 14

Good luck to the rest, hang in there! It will come!

What do you mean by "silent approval"? You mean the USCIS case status was not updated online?
