You are correct. Our embassy sent us an email requiring additional proof of income to bring to the interview. This was about two weeks prior to my spouse's interview.

Give it some time, it will show as "Ready". Once you're approved, it will show as "Issued".

My case was already completed early this year. The only document NVC required my spouse to bring on her interview is my mother's proof of citizenship.

Yesterday, I received an email saying:

AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT

From your Petitioner:

It appears the Affidavit of Support you provided is incomplete.  Please provide the following:

- Signed letter of explanation and legal basis for not filing Income Tax Returns

I am not sure why they are requiring the above as I sent these documents together with my AOS and that I my case was already complete.

Join the 2016 filers page on FB, someone from Algeria with Oct 3 PD received his/her IL.

There are people with PD October 3, 2016 getting their IL's already. Mine is Sept 16 and still nothing. 

Very frustrating.

I was able to join the group and found that a member already received his IL and his PD is September 23, 2016. Mine is September 15.
