Yep, they did ask me to do parallel parking... but up to now, I still have problems parking (but my husband said I'm getting better, have not hit anything so far). One tip I got from the instructor (driving school) is that you can try to go to DMV (with a different car that you will use for the test) and follow those that are having the drive tests, in that way, you will know the roads/route they usually do for the drive test. And for the drive test, exaggerate on your movements when you look through your right and left side (the blind spots) before changing lanes... they (DMV) have to see that you look first before changing lanes. Good Luck on your drive test.
There's a YOU TUBE video regarding DMV Drive Test, there's about 11 or 12 videos and also the top 10 reasons for failing the drive test. These videos are from the California DMV. (

I've never driven in the Philippines, although before I got here, I applied for a student's license then applied for a non-prof after a month. Then when I got here, my husband enrolled me for a 5 hours driving lesson, which by the way I'm still not that confident to drive. Bu when I have to start working and my husband have his army duty for almost a month, I don't have a choice but to drive for myself (that was December of last year) and I've been driving since but just to work then home. I'm still not good at parking, I still get scared that I may scratch the other parked vehicles or back/reversed on them. And oh by the way, I am only 4'11" and I used my non-prof philippine driver's license for a year before I applied for a California driver's license. I just got my CA-DL last July. this is my husband's big truck (F-350 Harley).

in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion

List all your children: Your child born in the US (which is also an excellent proof of your relationship) and don't forget to include your child's birth certificate. If you have other children (who is also a conditional resident and will be applying with you), list them also (if this applies).
