  1. I know this topic is old, but is there an update on the case you filed for your father?
  2. I did the same thing, just submitted 485 for my husband and stepdaughters. We refused the vaccinations in their country. They are on my insurance now and have been tested for or given all necessary vaccines in their annual physical I have scheduled, free as preventative visits. We did not submit the 693 so i am expecting a courtesy letter. We will have to pay $75 a person (using HSA acct) to transcribe onto the 693 all the vaccinations, but MUCH cheaper than out of pocket for all 3. Vaccines are super expensive in their home country, would have been another $200-300 each. Hoping it all works out in the end, just got NoA1 today.
  3. I was thinking same thing, 2 months or so after the approval NOA2 because of time it takes to get to NVC and then your case number. Is that not correct?
  4. Oh yes, I overlooked checking a checkbox ☑️ about not being convicted/arrested/etc in any country. Duh. 🤦🏼‍♀️
  5. Got our approval today!! 10 days after RFE reply was received. Thank God!
  6. I thought they would put everything in one RFE? Did you return the first one already?
  7. I forgot to check the box “No” about having been arrested/cited/convicted for breaking or violating any law in any country. Duh. No matter how many times you pass over the form sometimes your eyes just don’t see it. Hopefully the turnaround will be quick!
  8. I called and they said I got an RFE too. They said they sent the letter 2 weeks ago. Still no letter. That is frustrating. But what can I do but wait.
  9. Called today and spoke to a very nice gentleman. Anyway no approval, but let me know they sent me an RFE yesterday, so I should see that in the mail soon. Hoping it is something easy. 🤞🏼
  10. Congrats! Applied 10/5 NOA1 date 10/12. Still waiting on NOA2. Same country Dominican Republic here. Following your timeline, hope the process goes smoothly on out for you. I will ask you some questions later if you don’t mind!
  11. Following, I also have a petiion for my fiance in SD, DR.  Please give any advice you have as you go through the process.  Still waiting on my NOA2.

Hi. Sure I would be happy to help. Ours was approved faster than the norm and we are pleased. My fiance has a 6 year old and one of the things we are aware of that we will need soon is a parental authorization signed by the child's father and written by a lawyer. Cost is about $126US if that helps. Any questions feel free to ask. I'll update my timeline as I can to help you and others. Good luck!
