  1. I just want to know how many people are there whose waiting for NOA2s from VSC???

CSC is approving March08 as for now.:devil::devil::blink:

What happened to VSC and people who are waiting for this form last year???

Anybody called in VSC and find out??

When are they going to work on our Appls? :crying::crying::crying::crying:

I'm really sorry that Vermont is so slow, but I'm February at California and haven't had a touch. So, quite a few of us still wait at California too. This process is long, slow, and painful for all of us. For some of us, it is tortuous!!!!

  2. I'm starting to get really frustrated/depressed from all of this. i dont know how you guys stay so strong but im not staying strong at all, im growing weaker. and it just sucks horribly not being able to do ANYTHING to speed this process up! i hate not being able to control or help any part of this situation. i've considered throwing out a k-3 to maybe speed it along but its way to late in the game for that, and it would prolly just slow things down. im soooo happy for all of you that have gotten approvals and are at nvc or even at your interviews, but also i feel crazy jealous and disapointment that im not anywhere near that point myself. i wish i had more options. i thought about applying for an expidite (extreme financial hardship) but i know i would most likely get denied, and im afraid the denial would only end up resulting in it taking even longer for us to get approved. like a "nice try now you can wait longer" type of deal.

personally im considering going to venezuela and staying a couple months for the summer while larie is out of school. it would be great to be waiting actually with miguel, instead of waiting with him from another country. but i know that when i came back it would be like starting all over, and i would have no money saved and i wouldnt be able to do the paper work for the visa (by chance we get approved from uscis) for the nvc from venezuela.

this is seriously driving me to the brink. im a control freak.... and this is something i cant control.

sorry to throw all this out there, but im going insane, and none of my friends really understand what im going through at all. in fact when i talk to them and they try to give me advice it disgusts me because none of them know what this is like and i hate them pretending like they even slightly understand.

    :(

now to go chop off all my long pretty hair.... i can control my hair. so i need to go control some part of me.

i hear you and i understand your pain except I'm not cutting all my hair off lol

  3. Has any CR-1's from CSC been approved or received NOA2 yet? Seems like K3's are getting put through faster now.

nope, none that i've seen yet, they've all been k-3s

i just got off the phone with my congressmen (well his rep) and am sending them an authorization form to them tonight, she said they will contact california for me and will get back to me within a week. hopefully they can tell me something i dont already know!

How do you go about contacting our congressman and what do you need to tell him/her to get an inquiry started on your case? And thank you for being so helpful. :) Hope you get approved soon.

We contacted ours and although it got us a courteous reply--it stated just the same as if we had called. "the USCIS is now processing cases from Nov. 2007" so essentially said you just have to wait along with a big thank you for allowing my senator to be of assistance.?????????????????????

lol We also contacted our senator and got the exact form letter!!!!!

  4. My wife has gotten her Green Card- and only 2 weeks after our interview at the Santa Ana California office! But there are no notations in her (Thai) passport. She just has a Green Card. We'd like to go visit Thailand next month. Is this okay? Does she need to have anything more than her passport and Green Card? Thanks for any advice you can give me.

call me ignorant, but does the green card mean you have a social security number? The only thing I've ever heard is that you better not leave the country until you have your social security card. There was a married couple on the plane with my husband (he was British and she was American) I guess they went to visit family in Britain before he obtained his social security card, and they would not let him back into America.

  5. Lol. I could have done a mass announcement but I decided this was faster :).

In the past the VJ Timeline system estimated approval dates and gave a single date. This was useful but after considering feedback from members it was determined that a "range of likely dates" that an application might be approved in is better. To that end we now provide a range of dates for estimated approval dates.

For the more curious, this range of dates can be looked at as follows. Roughly 60% of people should have approvals by the first estimated date and nearly 85% of all people should be approved by the second date. This range should give people a MUCH better idea of when they will be approved and allow people to plan much better "ahead of time" for their approvals. This is also a much more statistically useful method.

As usual there is a great degree of "data filtering" in the background being done to help eliminate extraneous timeline data and improve estimates.

    Feedback is welcome!!

I was wondering why we do not have a timeline estimate on our timeline site?

You need to enter your I130 Sent Date to trigger the estimate. :)

    thank you very much

  8. Fair or unfair, I don't think getting mad about other people getting approved does much for your case. How about getting mad that YOU have NOT yet been approved? The fact that someone from Iraq gets through in 2 weeks isn't what makes the process screwed up. The process is screwed up because the average tax-paying, law-abiding working slob (most of us) has to wait about a year for some a$$hole in a USCIS office somewhere to put his coffee and donut down long enough to yank our file off a shelf and do 15 minutes worth of work on it so that we can reunite with our loved ones.

And as for Iraq, I'd expect my wife would deserve expedited treatment, too, if she risked having her house blown up should her Japanese neighbors learn that she was married to an American.

I, thoroughly agree with the writer. I've always thought myself to be a fair-minded, we are all the same, kind of person. But, having said that, I'm becoming very angry that as Americans- with all the supposed inherent freedoms-we do not have more rights than the average illegal immigrant. Most of us on here try to be together with our spouses the legal and legitimate way, and our government is discussing amnesty for those that circumvent every aspect of the system. Now I know this is a different topic than that brought up by this writer, but it is indeed in the same vein. There are many of us on VJ that have spouses from allied countries that represent absolutely no danger to US citizens. We are waiting forever. Some of us have very extenuating circumstances and still are forced to wait to have the same rights as every average American married couple. Where are our rights to the pursuit of happiness? Do we not have them because we fell in love with someone from another nation? I do think that that approval was much too fast!!! There has got to be something we are unaware of in that case. I even wonder how they can do a proper background check so very quickly on someone from a country such as Iraq that is in such turmoil and I'm sure does not have the systems in place that we do to verify such information. I'm sorry, but I'm very sad and lonely for my very proper church of England husband. We have known each other for two years and have spent a total of five and one half months together. We have been fighting this system for a long time and it seems so endless. This is the world today-many good, honest people pay for what the few bad nuts do. I could go down the street and marry some criminal and it would be legal, but we've got to fight like hell to be with someone we just happened to fall in love with from another country. This is the last of my thoughts-I feel sure that the real frauds and terrorists get through our systems with ease because they know well how to do this. The rest of us just have to endure and live in hope.

  9. Hello everyone!

I'm a new registered user (today).. but have been lurking for a while! I'll fill in a timeline later on today.

I'm a UK resident, my wife is originally from Texas (she's on a 2-year spousal visa, due to expire in November), and we're both in the UK.

We filed my I-130 April 28th with the US Embassy in London, and they took the credit card payment within a week.. now my questions are - is this normal for them to take the payment out so quickly? And am I correct in assuming that because they've taken the payment, the I-130 has been approved, and should now wait for the DS-230??

My wife is desperate to get back home, so if I could give her an answer it'd make my life a lot quieter (for now anyway :)

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

hi I have no answer!!! Just wanted to say hi. I also was in England married but returned to file from Ohio. I sympathize with your wife. lol At least you two are together.

  11. Hey everyone,

Can you post your new news such as NOA2's as a new topic forum. Lately they've been hard to track because everyone posts in old letter topics. I like to open the forum page and be able to tell what's new without delving into old letters all the way to see if there's anything new. Just a thought.

  12. I wasn't aware you could expedite the visa delivery, but we didn't, and it only took 7 days to get back to us.

At any rate, since the courier service is contracted, by SMS, you may want to contact them regarding expedition fees:

SMS on 08709 501 760 <-- this is the number for them I found on the London Embassy site.

Here is also a FAQ which has information regarding the interview and courier service: http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/niv/interview.html

Perhaps someone else can give you better information. This is all I've found.

Thanks for your reply. Seems the Courier service options only refer to the time the visa is delivered the next day. Before 8AM additional £20, before 10AM additional £10 up to 12 PM additional £5.It wont really expedite aything by much as the London Embassy processing can still take the 5 days from date of Interview.Thank you for replying and your help.Good Luck.Mike

  13. did you post this in the UK regional forum first? did it get moved here or did you post it here first? if you didn't post it there, i'd try it there.

(edit: and now this seems to have been moved to the UK forum. which is awesome. and yet i'm oddly confused.)

I posted it under the London Embassy seems to have been moved!

  14. Does anyone know anything about the options of the courier service used for delivering the visa after the interview.I saw a message mentionning paying an additional fee to increase the rapidity of delivery.Anyone know the costs and how fast you get the visa if you pay the extra? From TracyMike

  15. Looking at the CSC "currently processing" date has now advanced to November 13, 2006. That FINALLY includes me, with my 1 November NOA1. I did get an RFE on the 5th of May, gee thanks for that. I received an email from them yesterday that says they resumed processing the case and give them another 60 days. For those who have received RFE's, is that a standard email with 60 days or are they going to drag this out forever with me?

i would so be contacting my congressman hun

    they can expedite things

In the words of the immortal Homer Simpson......DOH!

  16. UK - California K1 Application, NOA1 received 2/2/07. No further contact.

Drop me an email Rob and I will get back to you mikegiddings1@yahoo.com (TracyMike)

Well, it is coming up to 30 days now since NOA1.

I hope I pre-empted an RFE by submitting the correctly signed G325A for me with a covering letter marked with my receipt number and contact details.

HOWEVER - We have the wedding all arranged for the 28th July 2007 (booked it, packed it etc), and I really dont think now that it will all come through in time - it seems to me generally to take 90 days to the day for interviews etc which would put us inside of August.

SO - does anybody know if there is an effective way of contacting the consulate. Is it worth telling them this - I have evidence of all of the arrangements? Is there a chance of pulling forward the interview assuming all other things run smoothly?

Otherwise, would I have to leave the USA after the wedding and sit through another 6 months of isolation awaiting a spouses Visa?

    Thanks for your help!

  17. Yey! Just got back from London and very happy! I waited just over 2 hours at the embassy (about 1 hour after I gave my birth cert, polic record, divorce cert and I-134 to the 1st window) The woman who interviewed me was so nice - all she asked me was how we met and how he proposed (noone actually did - it just happened! - I told her that and she laughed) she didnt ask for ANYTHING from me, not even letter from employer and bank or pay slips or evidence of ongoing relationship. It was done in less than 5 mins! I'll write a more detailed review later! I'm really happy!:dance: I posted this in the UK forum but wanted to let other K1 visa appliers know!!!

Congratulations !!!!!!!!! I hope we fare as well. Soon you will be together

  18. Many, many congratulations, Karoline! Hopefully, Frankfurt will smile on us, as well. Luckily, our parents haven't met yet. :P

Thanks!!! I have to say I LOVE the Frankfurt Consulate; they were amazing with every single step of the process in which they were involved. And yes, Paul and I both thought it was quite funny that they asked so many questions about our parents instead of about us :P

Congratulations!!!! We are so happy for you!!!

  19. Come on - lets go! I bet I can fit you in my suitcase (NOT).

awww too cruel :crying: but as im not a tiny girl :help: be safe and have an excellent time. Im not at all jealous :innocent: if you run into the man at customs i lovingly call mr bean (omg) God help you! He will ask all kinds of intrusive questions--frankly everything but how often you visit the ladies room--make sure you say that you will sleep on the couch!!!!

  20. @Tracy I see, just 5 more days and you will be with your sweetheart!!! :) Isn't that a great feeling?? (lol no need to answer, I already know :P) I wish you a great time in cold ### London hehehe

    Diana

I talk to my honey in London every day and its not cold there!!! oh I wish I could afford to catch a ride with Tracy!!!! Mike is in London and his neighbors were bbq ing over Easter!

See, I'm telling you guys we need to start the charity for visa applicants and their fiance(e)s (and spouses too for the K3 people), so that we can raise money to be with our loved ones during the looooong wait :P

well actually i do have some money saved for our visa and aos but i am the worker here and have no time off at present to go visit him. I'm just hoping to get a few days for the interview. That's up in the air too!!! God, I miss him. We petitioners have to be able to prove support and as I have no co-signer--- I'm it. Must keep working and waiting. sigh
