  1. well, i have just talked to someone at the vermont service center about a possible undelivered RFE. i asked about whether or not we were supposed to be receiving one and were told that there was no RFE coming and that our I-129F was up for review, and that we should receive a notice shortly. can't rightly tell y'all what that means, but i am just hoping that it means that they are actually looking at it (no online updates, though) and since there are no RFEs, there are no problems. has anyone else had this experience. if so, i could use some clarificaton as to what "up for review" means.

  2. well, i am a military man, married to a lovely lady from England, and I can tell y'all...we feel it too! it is hard, but for some of us, we feel as though it is our responsibility to be the strong ones and try to comfort our spouses when they start to lose hope. this does not mean that when the phone call is over, we do not shed our tears or get upset, however.

my wife and I filed in january, and we have seen no real improvement in our case. we have made phone calls, written letters, sent more pictures, and even called a congressman. nothing seemed to help. this has not only taken its toll on us, but on my stepchildren as well. USCIS seems to be this secret society that runs on some code of ethics not made public to any of us. we have both lost hope at times, but try to keep in mind that something has got to give eventually. what else can one do, right?

the most that i can say is...try not to completely lose hope. y'all are not alone in the waiting game, and at some point, one way or another, we will all be able to start our new lives with our loved ones. :help:

  3. Kitkat... success is often a matter of asking the right question. Try this

    CSC: 1.800.375.5283

    - 1 for English

    - 2 for main menu

    - 2 for questions about RFE

    - 4 For RFE questions

    - ENTER IN RECIEPT #

    - 2 to talk to a real person

I found out my application was approved 15 days ago.

portlander, i just tried the method above and actually got a hold of VSC. i guess that i asked the worng questions, because they just refered me back to the customer misinformation line. if possible, can you let me know exactly what i should be asking, so that i may try again and actually get some success? it would be much appreciated.

  4. Go to the top where it says immigration timelines, click that and then you will be given an option to create a timeline of your own.

Good luck on your journey!

I have created my timeline. What I want to know is how people post thier timeline in the forum letters with the small blue print. I don't think they are typing it with every post.

    Thanks Dan

It is on your page, under My assistant at the top and then go to edit forum signature. Just type it out and it comes up everytime.

  5. We had three touches in a row......last one on the 15th. Still nothing :crying:

I see other people being approved and as we are at vermont, I thought it would be approved by now. I guess not. K3's from other service centres have gone through earlier than ours, so it's not always fater at VSC!!

I'm not sure how much more I can take of this waiting, but as there is no other option, we have to.

Good luck to you, hope yours comes through soon.

  6. Well, today was another touch, but still no real answer. What is the deal here? When did wanting to be with one's spouse become a crime? Has anyone else had to hear the stories about when couples from different countries got married that they automatically received entry into the country? I guess with all of the immigration problems since 9/11, the USCIS wants to be more cautious, but still... If anyone else has received further word, please let us know.

  7. Ah, I'm seriously going to try to go back to India and come back with my wife, however long it might take. I can't bear leaving her again. I've just got to do something about this darn money thing :-/

Bring my wife too...I think we all (March-April filers) should get NOA2 by end of this month !!!

I hope you are right. We sent ours off Jan 31st and we are still waiting to hear. Still, it was touched again today..........wish us luck!!!!!!

Thank you all for replying to my post. We have felt so alone in this and it helps to know we are not. We were expecting to have been approved by now, but the days go on and nothing happens. I am pleased for all the other couples that have applied since us and been approved, but it makes you feel like there is something wrong and that ours is being kept back for a reason. I'm hoping it's just complete paranoia!!! We had a touch again on May 11th, so fingers crossed......

We got in touch with the congressman a few weeks ago, husband in millitary, where is paperwork, etc. and found out it was placed on an adjudicators desk on March 29th. Since then nothing until the touch Friday. Do you think it just aggravated the situation and put them on go slow for us? Anybody had this happen too?

It would be so great if they would just give a little more info out, wouldn't it????

Good luck to you all out there, I hope everything works out for you :)
