Hi everyone!

my husband (American citizen) filed 2020s taxes in April this year and submitted a w7 so I could obtain an ITIN number. He filed as married filing jointly. He thought I wasn’t going to get my interview this year, so he went ahead with that. Fast forward 2 months I got my interview and now I have my SSN.

Today I received a letter from IRS saying that my ITIN application cannot be completed since they need my passport.  I know ITIN and SSN cannot co-exist. Is there a way that I can cancel that ITIN application? Would he need to file again and now use my SSN number??

Hi everyone!

We are currently waiting for our NOA2 but we have a doubt and we cant find much information about it. 

I (beneficiary) travel a lot and my current passport only has 2 blank pages and I might need more for my job. I was thinking of renewing my passport before the case is sent out to the NVC. Do you think I can just update my passport information? Or will this be an issue? My us tourist visa is stamped in my current passport.

Hi! we recently started filling in our application and I (beneficiary) noticed that on the form I-130A part 1 "Information about parent" I do not have any information of my biological father rather than his name.  Would this be an issue? What should I write there?? 

Extra information: I do not have my father's last name,  I was registered with my mother's last name.
