Oh I didn't know we couldn't leave the country until the GC arrived. We had out interview on 1/29 and no news or update yet. My husband has his EAD and combo card and my parents would be here to get the GC if it arrived while we were gone. Did he tell you why not?
I’m not sure if I asked him why but things may happened. Just from my point of view, uscis have not make a decision to your case that means there are chances for them to conduct a second interview on you, and any chances you go out of the country but cannot go back your case will be considering abandoned. EAD and Parole Card is not a guarantee for you to come in the country, at the airport when you enter US they will determined if you are allowed to come back in. I’ve seen people use the card to travel but to me personally I wouldn’t take that risk.

I haven’t had my interview yet, it’s literally day after tomorrow I am freaking out. But to answer your question, if you get approved, it can take anywhere from 7-120 days.
Good luck on your interview! I had mine at Fairfax too, on 01/16. Make sure you review all the forms that you submit & prepare to answer "How did you guys meet?".. then you are good to go.
First submission was 06/20/18. After my interview, nothing has changed online yet even though he said he would recommend to approve my case. i'm still waiting for my GC. He just tell me make sure I don't go out of country before GC arrived, cuz I planned to travel in spring break!
keep me updated on your interview!

@Tilde333 yup I know some people do have GC 2 days after the interview but they live in Seattle, I guess maybe it's different depends on what state we are living. I hope you receive a GC soon! Keep me update on your process and I'll do the same

Hi @Tilde333, until today 2/4/19, my status online is still "Interview was scheduled", I haven't receive my greencard yet even though the interview went well. The officer said he would recommend to approve my case and I should wait up to 120 days due to a long process. How was your interview going?

Hi,
I just received an interview notice for my 2 years Green card that will be occurred in January, 2019. Please share your experiences and advises for me on the interview, it would be very appreciate
I will list below the list of what I bring to the interview day, please comment if I'm missing anything, and what should I fulfill to my package.
I live in Virginia, VA, get married to a US citizenship, my husband born in US. I was under OPT of F1- student visa and my OPT expired 07/12/2018. Here is my brief timeline on the process
05/20/18: Getting Married I did not celebrate my wedding party yet because i wait for the green card to go back to my country so my parents can attend my wedding. Only married at court with my husband family.
06/20/18: Submit my package to USCIS
07/24/2018: Biometrics done
08/16/2018: my expedite working permit request approved because I have job offer. I have working permit and go to work on September.
12/12/2018: Interview is scheduled
01/16/2018: Interview day
Here is what I prepared to bring to the interview:
Passport, driver license, birthcertificate, ssn for both of us
Marriage license
My Medical form I-693
Letter schedule interview from USCIS
Tax return for previous 3 years 2015, 2016, 2017 of my husband.
3 pay subs before interview of my husband
Bank statement showing our saving ( both are currently working and both deposit money into the account)
A car Registration showing both of us ownership.
Car Insurance (showing both name)
credit card statement (showing both name)
Life insurance (we both buy it and put each other name as beneficiaries)
401k beneficiaries information for both ( I and Him both have)
Front page at personal info at Work's profile.. my husband is my emergency contact
Airplane tickets to other states of US (5 trips together so far)
Lots of pictures together ( pictures with friends, family, pictures that we are going on trips with friends and family)
Moviepass membership for two in one year (sign up same time)
One month (AUG18) we are in the same health insurance (since I got a job, i choose to split out from him to go with my company insurance because of it its more cheaper than go with him)
ONE Affidavit of friend who verify the authenticity of our relationship (did not submit that in the package)
Outline of our relationship (did not submit that
We DO NOT have:
Utility bills - because we still live with his parents, and his parents are paying bills
House rent/ mortgage: same reason above
Wedding ceremony & pictures on the wedding day: my parents can not come to US so we are waiting to go back to my country, and we are saving money to buy house.
Because we do not have a wedding together, that is not normal to all the couple who apply for adjustment of status and that makes me very worry.
Please drop some comments to give me advise . Also, advise me on what will they ask on the interview because we are very worry for the upcoming interview.
Thank you and I really appreciate it
Jacklyn.

Hi everyone,
I'm here to share with you guys about my story about expedite request is success within 11 months from the day I submit the whole packages of application based on I-485 Adjustment of status.
Few things about my situation back ground - I'm used to an international student who came to the states by the F1-student Visa. Fortunately I found a full-time job right after graduation and working under OPT for a year. Then I got married with a US citizen and apply for adjustment of status I-485. My working permit at that time will be expired in 07/13/2018 and I do not want to stop working or get lay off due to the waiting time interruption.
Here is the timeline of what I do:
06/19/2018 - send the application to Chicago in USCIS by 1 day by FedEx.
06/20/2018 - USCIS received the packages.
06/29/2018 - received 4 USCIS tracking number by msg, and receive the actually mail in the next 2-3 following day.
07/01/2018 - requested to expedite my I-765 right away after I have the MSC#, the expedite request was on hold due to I have not done the Biometrics yet, and this is the final decision from USCIS.
07/13/2018 - my working permit expired. I have to leave my company and become inactive employee since that day
07/24/2018 - Biometrics (finger print) is done.
07/25/2018- call to USCIS again to request for expedite I-765 but they refused because the next expedite request has to be after 30 days of last request.
07/30/2018 - all my insurances and benefits (401K) that I had were cancelled ( So Sad)
08/01/2018 - requested to expedite again due to severe financial lost for both myself and company.
08/06/2018 - received the letter by USCIS saying they need more info and provide fax number
08/07/2018 - Faxed to USCIS the explanation. Including: Cover letter, USCIS letter, letter from HR saying all benefits has been cancelled from the date of job termination, letter from company saying they are wanting me to be back asap.
08/16/2018- USCIS updated my status as new card has been produced.
I'm so beyond happy that I'm able to go to work again because I love my job and my company. I was reading a lot of topics, comments online and most of them say that the expedite process is rarely success and lots of people fail to have their working permit as their time wish. I even went to the lawyer to consult about this and she told me she never heard about the expedite success and the 90 days is no longer apply. Both lawyer and USCIS told me that it takes 5-7 months to have the working permit and travel card. Guess what, it is totally 7 weeks (June 20 - August 16) for me to receive the working permit again. Don't loose hope and do whatever you can do to get it success. As long as you gather enough information and write a very sincere letter to USCIS. (the letter from my company is I wrote by myself and my boss signed it)
I'm also preparing for the interview coming up. Please share if you have any advise for me.
Thank you so much for reading and I hope your expedite process is successful!

@Tilde333 so you already received your GC? Congratulation. The officer said he would recommend for approval on my case too but I don't see anything changed online. It still says "interview was scheduled". No I haven't post in any group yet.. any recommendation on where to fine these groups?
