Hi All! 

Hope you are having fun during holidays :) I filed in Dallas in July but haven't received any response so far nor my case status has been updated online. 

Any folks here who filed from Dallas and had luck in moving forward?

Hello Guys!

I'm planning to apply for citizenship this month. Does anyone how the interviews are conducted in these COVID times? 

My status changed to New Card is produced!

CSC service center. Applied on 10/30/18 and my case was transferred to Potomac on Oct 25th and again on Oct 29th. Not sure to where. No RFE. 

This community has been a beacon of hope and progress through out my I-751 journey. I sincerely hope all of you get approved asap!.

I filed on Oct 30th. Which number did you call to find out the jurisdiction office?

Update: My case was transferred to Potomac, VA. This is for the first notice. Not sure if the second notice was a repetition or if it is indeed transferred to someplace else.

I didn't file N400 yet which is why I'm surprised .

Hey I'm from California. Yesterday, I got an update on my case tracker app that my application has been transferred to another USCIS office and that I would receive a mail explaining why they made this decision.

Did anyone else face this situation?

Your jurisdiction will change with respect to your eligibility to apply for citizenship--you have to live in the state or district 3 months prior to submitting the application.  As to your I-751, they won't forward it based on moving unless they plan to interview you.

Hello all! We are going to move states from California to Texas and I filed my I-751 in California so CSC. If I move, does my jurisdiction change?

A different update from my end. I got a mail with an appointment for biometrics Looks like things are going to take a loooong time for me.

Updated my status. Received 2 copies of NOA1 but no biometrics. I traveled abroad and was back yesterday and they took my biometrics during entry so I'm assuming my biometrics would be waived. My GC expires on 01/25 so I have some time. 

Quick update on my end. I see lot of apprehension from most of you and I'm in the same boat. I sent in my I-751 application on 10/29. Received text message on 11/5 but nothing in mail so far. My Green card is expiring on Jan 25 (some time left which is a bit relief) but I went ahead submitted an online enquiry today. Will wait for another week and then try talking to a tier-2 officer.

For the i-551 stamp, you need to set up an appointment at your local uscis building.  The stamp is valid 1 year and you need to bring your unexpired passport. 

It's an option for those who want to travel overseas and don't have the 18 months extension letter yet to prove the continuation of their legal permanent resident status in the US at the border when they come back.

 

If you have a plan to travel overseas while waiting to receive your notice, the stamp might be an alternative option for you. 

 

The I797C notice of action aka 18 months extension letter used to have a validly of 1 year as the i551 stamp. So now extended  to 18 months is a recent change made by the uscis due to backlog. But this change doesn't affect the duration of the i551 stamp.

Is there any reason we will need the NOA for future petitions or interviews? I remember needing to submit a NOA for one application at some point back in time. Just worried we'll need it down the road and we don't have it. 

Now I'm seeing some people get their NOA fast and some after 30 days have past. What if I get the letter and it's extending the green card by 18 months but the stamp says just 1 year? Already went to get the drivers license so too late for that. Hate having to renew and pay for a new license ever so often. 

Hi Becca & Doody, I'm a lil confused. How did you get the I-551 stamp 1 year extension? Is that an option if you didn't receive NOA/extension letter or can anyone go and get it?

From the list, I see lot of you receiving the NOA with 5 - 10 days. I submitted it on Oct 30 and still haven't received it and the case status on USCIS says they have received fingerprint fee and have mailed notice. Guess I have to wait.

I sent my I-751 packet on 10/30 and was delivered on 11/1. I received an SMS today (11/6) mentioning my WAC# and that NOA will follow in mail.

The important thing is that your faces are clearly shown upon printing.. because to me, I-751 is more about the actual content as evidences... so presentation is not necessarily a must.. unlike AOS when you have that need to try and impress the IOs... it’s also cheaper to just print using regular white bond paper than using photo paper. Good luck to all those who filed. My 90 day window opens on Oct 25th and I'm almost ready to send the documents on Oct 26th. I have a silly question regarding the documentation process. I'm sending few photos with friends & family over the years. Do you recommend sending them on actual photo paper or is it ok if I just copy them to word and take a color print. The quality is not that bad. The reason for this I don't want to spend a bomb on printing actual photos :)
