That is one of my pet peeves!!!  Why does the petitioner make the beneficiary deal with all this stuff?  They don't know anything about government paperwork and they seem to say the petitioner is "too busy".  That truly bothers me for some reason.  It was my job to petition my wife and step kids (twice!!!).  I never told them to do it.  I makes me question the relationship.

First of all sir, he never asked me to do it.. I insisted to help him.

secondly you’re right, I don’t know about the government, he does. But we’re just asking for some advice and double checking what to do..

he reads the instructions but still we wanna make sure. Now that we’re wrong then we know what to do.

    . Thank you. Godbless

Why are you doing all the work for him? He needs to read the instructions and obtain what is required.

Don’t be mad sir, I insisted doing it. We both doing our parts. Helping him is not a big deal. It just happened that I’m the one join the Visa Journey. He’s reading the instructions and we’re just double checking it. What’s wrong in asking and acquiring some opinions? We just want to be more specific and sure of what we’re going to do, rather than passing a lot of paperworks and getting the rfe in the end?
    thank you and godbless

  3. Good day!

I just want to ask, so I have 2 kids, my fiancé is going to pass our petition I-129F, we included my kids in the petition but only one of them is gonna be our K2 cause my son doesn’t want to leave my parents yet..so we decide to get him when he’s ready.. question:

1.does he included in the household number in the poverty guidelines?

2.should we include him at the affidavit of support form even he’s not coming with us?

I’m walking through all the forms and steps we need for the future even we just started. Just to make it more clear...

    thanks. Godbless

  4. Hi again!

so me and my Fiancé filling up our I-129F form, most of the questions we leave it blank rather than putting a N/A.. is it fine just to leave it blank or should I fill it in as N/A for All the questions we leave blank?
    thank you again

If only there 4 months, then NO.

"Police Clearance from other countries: Applicants who have stayed for six (6) months or more upon reaching the age of 16 years are required to obtain a police certificate. Country-specific information on how to secure foreign police certificates is available at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html."

Thank you sooooo much! 🙏🙏🙏 more power to you sir!

The request can be done without going to Florida.   He needs to contact the department in Florida to request this.  Start online with the official website, there should be info there for completing the request.

Thanks for the answer sir. One more thing.. I worked in Croatia for last year for summer jobs. July to October, only 4 mos. Do I need to obtain police clearance from them?

  7. Hi all!

i just want to know, my fiancé has his police record but it’s a pdf file..so i told him we need the certified one, and he told me that it was all the way in Florida where they lived before (now they are living in Texas). How he can get certified copies of his police record? Does he need to go in Florida or they just gonna mail him and send him a copy? Does anyone have the same situation here? Please help us. Thank you

  8. Good day to all! I just want to ask.. about the address in the past five years part of the I-129F form..should I write down the addresses where I worked as an OFW in Qatar? Our accomodation address? I work there for about 1 1/2years.. And in Croatia I work for 4 months? Or is it not necessary at all?

    thanks in advance

  9. Hi another question..

should I still write my addresses before like in Qatar and Dubai when I was working as an OFW? I’ve been in Dubai from 2011-2014 then in Doha from 2017-2018.. or is it fine just to include it on my working history? Thanks in advance 🙏

Not likely, as none of that is relevant to being issued a visa..  they are going to ask relationship questions ..  how well you know your fiance/spouse

I don't know what visa type you are pursuing ...:time:

He’s gonna file a fiancé visa.. thanks you

    Not usually

I only have K1 experience, and I have also watched and listen to a few other K1 visa interviews.

They just tend to ask a few questions,  I think we got asked 3 or 4 questions.  What is your name, where did you meet, and some other random question, and then we were done. I asked him if we were approved and he said yes.

So more of about me and my fiancé right?

  12. At the visa interview, Are they gonna ask all about your information even the past? Like for example the father of your kids, what happened etc. and about your previous employers or all the listed below information in your visa? Thanks

    Correct.

The I-129F just asks for all children so they need to be listed even if they aren't immigrating. You just won't do a DS-160 for them.

They will need separate I-130s either way, so there's no cost difference (unless they were to immigrate within 1 year of the K-1 being issued....then there's slight cost savings but only a couple hundred dollars or so).

Thanks a lot. Its now all clear. Highly appreciate it. 🙏🙏

Yes.  If they are not K-2s you would only need a DS-160 for you.

Yup, 2 I-130s would be needed wither way.

FTJ is only valid for up to 1 from the date the K-1 is issued, so they can't use the exiosting I-129F petition.

So when I apply for a DS-160 visa in the embassy its gonna be only mine right? Even they are on the I-129F petition?

  16. 8 minutes ago, geowrian said:

Yes, as is required to list all children.

There is no way for them to use the same I-129F 2-3 years later. Follow to Join (FTJ) only permits a K-2 visa for up to 1 year from when the original K-1 is issued.

They will need separate I-130s to join in that timeframe.

How old are the children right now? This determines who should file the I-130s and how long it will take.

They’re 9 years old and 4 years old

We need a little more information since there are age limitations.  If they will not follow within a year they should not be included as derivatives.  Since in 2 to 3 years you will be an LPR or even heading towards citizenship, you would petition them as an IR direct relative.  They have to meet the age requirements but I believe the K-2 is required to follow within a year.

They’re 9 and 4. We really do want them to follow within a year but I realized that there’s still a lot of time for them and we need to adjust a lot of things too to start our family.

  18. My fiancé will include my children in the I-129F form that he will pass to the USCIS. Should I apply for a DS-160 visa for them too as we are planning to get them 2-3 years after we settle everything out in the US (in God’s will). Or should we apply for a new petition for them when we adjusted our status? Thanks in advance

  19. Good day. Just wanna know if someone here already been filled up a Qatar Police Clearance for fiancé visa? Can you please guide me for the highlighted information what to write? And for the “date of exit” i dont have yet cause im still here in Qatar and planning to go back to the Philippines on first week of October. I just want to apply in advance so i will not worry about to get as i have time to get it now. Thank you for the help.🙏
