Hey we passed today the 26th. interview was pretty easy, i will post all the details when I get back to the states in October. Any one who has an interview on the 28th, there is a bog sign that says the embassy will be closed, so heads up, you probably got rescheduled. i have tickets for the the 3rd of October, I asked the dhl office in moscow to hold the visa, think we will get it in time?

Well I have been in Russia almost a month, its going well. I am glad to see the recent success stories in moscow, congrats turbo guy and novotul. our interview is on the 23 of this month so pray for us(or at least cross your fingers?)

So i just realized the ds156 and 156k forms I need for the interview on 9-26-07 expired 7-31-07, so I went to the uscis website to print the revised forms and the forms are not there.......Not even the old ones are up.......?? I am leaving for Russia in about a week and I am wondering if any one knows how long the uscis usually takes to update forms?

I got a business visa online so I could stay with Elina for more than a month, I have never registered a business visa, can any one help out with the info?, I will be traveling to different cities, but I know there are all the new visa registration rules, can i simply go to the post in her home town where she owns a flat and get the visa registered for a fee? or, because its a "business" visa do I have to go to the office of the company that is listed on the "invitation"?

Do we need packet 3/4 from the embassy before we can schedule the medical in Moscow? Is there an authorization or anything in the packet we would need? Also typically how long before the embassy interview is the medical? The reason I ask is I am trying to buy plane tickets but cant until i know the medical exam date.

I heard horror stories about people opening this, what is it? from what I gather, its the medical results mailed after the medical exam? or is it something from the Moscow embassy?

I get the same message when I call the state dept. that the Moscow embassy has received my "electronic file" but not the actual file....(what does that mean anyway? I mean why do they even have an actual file if they have an electric one? haha) I think they just make things up when you call. I am just gonna call every day until I get a guy or girl who can tie there own shoes. once that happens I will look at is as progress. Also, look at turbo guys time line, his case left the nvc just a few days before yours and he already has his interview scheduled. so it gives you an idea at least.

If I wasn't able to meet the income requirements at the time of the AOS interview could I still use a sponsor? even though I didn't need one for the initial k-1 entry visa?

Yes i was approved on 6-20-07, and I updated my time line. no I don't have my interview date yet but im guessing it will be around the week of the 17th of sept. comparing it to other time lines.

thanks for your quick response YuAndDan, I also have another question. in 2004 i was well above the poverty line, as in 2006 and now in 2007, however in 2005 i was below the poverty line as i was in the police academy for half the year. will this effect her getting approved as they want the last 3 years of returns?

I was looking at the guidelines on what to send my finance now that the noa2 has been approved. I am a little confused about the i-134 document. here is what I gather

1 everybody has to fill this form out?

2 i need to have it notarized and i need to send it to Elina with the rest of the things mentioned? and she just brings it to the interview at the embassy?

also, do i need to have anything else notarized?

I am a little confused about this document and why i need to fill it out if any one can help, i already sent all my tax documents in the i-129f.

Is it a possibility to have Elina's parents over for the wedding we will have here in the states? have any of the Russian bride or grooms done this?

good question slim, i didn't mention i was planning a trip in 4 weeks to go visit, so i wasn't sure what would happen, or if i should still buy the tickets or postpone or what, but now i have better idea.....thanks for your help

about the email, dont freak out if you get a touch and no email like i did, it took about 6 hours for them to send the email and update the website

so how long will it be (generally) until I know when the interview date is? I got approved today noa2! I know it goes to the nvc for a couple weeks, then to the embassy, I am just not sure when I will know the interview date. does it arrive in packet 3/4? if it does is there a faster way to find out? also when and how will I receive my nvc case number?

sorry for the barrage of questions i was just a little surprised i got the noa2 so soon.
