Autumnchik wanted me to give an update on Declan he came home on Sunday night looking a little yellowish. In the morning he colour was even more yellow so we took him back to see his doctor, who has his office in the hospital. After seeing Declan and running some tests, we were told that Declan was jaundice so he would have to go under the lights for some colour. They have mom a room close by so she could feed him every 3 hours.
We are both stressed but holding up as well as we can. I would write more but I have to go back to the hospital to be with them both to help feed.

Happy Mother's Day everyone!!! I have a lot of posts to catch up on
We arrived home from the hospital this evening (FINALLY!!!). I'll post more about my experience later. Just wanted to say hi and thank everyone for the good wishes.
Have to go feed baby boy now. He is getting better at latching, but it still takes awhile.
Edited to say: OOPS! Didn't realize my hubby was still signed in under his name when I posted. This is Autumnchik.

Just wanted you all to know Autumnchik and I are now proud parents of a baby boy. Declan James W was born Thrusday night at 7:17 he wieghs 6lb 14.3 oz and is 20"inchs long. Him and mom are doing great though they may have to stay in the hospital another night he still has not got the whole nursing thing down yet. He figures the breast is something to sleep with not suck on. Does not matter how awake and alert he is as soon as his face touches her chest he is asleep.

I just got home from the local grocery store. One of the things I wanted to buy was regular iced tea mix, not lemon flavoured or raspberry flavour but just plain ice tea. ARGH!!
I'd kill for some good old Goodhost iced tea mix right now

Congratulations
Glad to hear you didn't have any trouble.

So what I gather the meaning of the story is: Women are evil!! lol
Exactly! And we can't drive, either, so I have no idea what they were thinking hiring one of us as an examiner. Stupid Americans.
You are one smart gal!!!
I would never say anything like that some women are very nice (my wife would beat me if I said they were all evil
)
and she is probably a better driver than me too.

I had to do all 3 tests in NH and you can only do the test in the state capital which is an hour and a half away. The eye test was a breeze, as was the written test but the driving test sucked I got a wicked mean examiner. She told me to drive up to the stop sign and turn left, as soon as I got the car in motion she snarled " Oh! you have a crack in the windshield sorry you fail you can retest in 2 weeks"
The crack was small and not anywhere near my line of sight plus the car had just passed inspection with that same crack.
2 weeks later I redid the road test, they were really busy that day so I had a State Trooper as the the road test examiner. He was more interested in hearing about Vancouver and my Visa process than he was about the driving test.

Just wanted to let the world know how awesome Autmnchik is on her anniversary
HAPPY FIRST ANNIVERSARY BABE

My interview was in Vancouver as well.
My wife Karen came with me, I think it was easier with her there. I was nervous but she was calm and cool and the people at the consulate were friendly and cheerful which made the whole process quick and easy. I had the wrong Birth Cert with me so I had to run to Robson St to get another copy done. Even having to do that we were in and out with my visa in hand in less than 3 hours.

I was just wondering if there was anything that I have to bring to my biometrics other than my passport, the appointment letter and both of my notice of action letters?
I was wondering if there are some extra fees that I didn't know about.

I don't normally post on VJ but I just want to scream "I'M GETTING MARRIED TOMORROW"
My fiancee, Autumnchik, and I are so thankful for all the help you people have given us, I'm sure I would still be in Canada if we had not found this site. We were so clueless about the whole process (pronounced process not pracess as you Americans seem to think) 6 months ago. Thanks for all your help.

In Northern New Hampshire where we are supposed to get 1-2 feet of snow tomorrow. And I am supposed to get married to Autumnchik tomorrow! Hope the JP can still make it to our house.

I just got back home to freezing cold and snowy New Hampshire (I miss Vancouver already). My baby is flying to Montreal in a week and a half and then we will cross the border at Derby Line, VT! Yay! The first hurdle of this process is over
I miss you Baby! but I'll be home soon

I just joined about a week ago. My fiancee told me about the site. She has been posting here for about a month. We got our visa today. This site has been a great help so far. I will be on more often now that I am trying to get my green card.

WOW!!! SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD DEODORANT TEST!
CONTGRATS
Definitely a good deodorant test! I am autumnchik's fiance. After we got the birth certificate, I sprinted back to the consulate. I was panting when I arrived, probably sweating like a pig too.
And we were both nervous for the first hour after we learned we needed a birth certificate. Glad we wore deodorant this morning for sure!
