Amazingly, My Daughter(step) was able to get her Visa just 2 months before her passport expired. and was in country 2 weeks later! Wife and daughters all have their 10 year Green cards. Now that the daughter's passport has expired do we need to go to the Tajikistan, Embassy and get her a new one if we want to travel outside the US? Also the other daughters expires Oct of 2022.

I showed er a flight that would leave at 5:40 AM. she lives about 2 hours from that airport. and doesn't want to take that one found one that gets into Chicago about 5:25 PM. knowing they would have to go through immigration and customs etc. would anyone thing it possible to check baggage etc. for a flight leaving at 7:50

Is your wife from Kazakhstan? How long did you wait for interview after getting DQ’ed? I’m wondering because my daughter-in-law is from Russia and will have to transfer her case to a different embassy. One of the possibilities is the US Embassy in Kazakhstan. But would she be low priority for interview there because she is not a citizen of that country?
My wife and daughters are from Tajikistan. They moved to Moscow A few years ago. That was where I was introduced to her from her cousin here cousin here in the United States. We got DQ in January. My wife was weary of trying to go to Kazakhstan again, We transferred there when we filed for a K1 Visa and got denied. So we waited until we got the news that the US embassy was no longer going to be doing visas. We asked for the transfer the beginning of July. And we're notified of the transfer And appointment just a few weeks later. I don't know about the priority. Because the embassy in embassy in Tajikistan does not do immigration visas they are supposed to be handled by the consulate it consolate in Kazakhstan.

What do the CEAC statuses for the daughters say? You will need to wait until they all say "ISSUED."
When I got to work the daughters case statuses said "Refused" JUST A FEW MINUTES AGO......."ISSUED"!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay. Great news My Wife should pickup her Visa/passport tomorrow! She and the daughters had their medical exams on the same day. According to the email our lawyer received they are waiting for the girls medical results. The medical center says that it sent and closed the files on August 4th. What do we do???

If an interview has been scheduled, the consulate is in full control now. You must contact them to re-schedule.
It definitely looks like we just did not have enough time to get everything set up before the Interview which is set for August 5th. So would my wife need to call the embassy to work on is to work on rescheduling or Dor do I the petitioner call?

We Transferred to Kazakhstan as on July 19th. Yesterday we got an Interview appointment For Aug 5th. its going to take a week for me to get a Visa and 2 says of travel time I can't make it to the inter view in time. How do we request to move the Interview back so we can get everything needed.

Are they aware of any Covid restriction there? My wife wants to transfer her sons interview to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan but if they are going to ask for address and phone number we wont have one. If we transfer to Kazakhstan my wife has family there and can use that. However, we are hearing from a friend in Russia who also has family in Kazakstan they wont let people in unless they have very close relatives there.
Do not know if any of that is true or they are just confused.
I'm not sure about the covid restrictions other than I do not believe I can go to Kazakhstan right now. I know only of one person that transferred to Kazakhstan back in March. I don't know how they got the travel arranged.
I was just informed yesterday by the NVC that all our cases have new Case numbers for Almaty, no interview as of yet. Not sure how long until that will happen.
-
Well now I have the other 2! Yeah, progress!
-
Today I just received the new Case number, in Almaty, for our oldest daughters case only. I hope the others follow suit soon.

I got this Email today
We previously notified you of the date and time of your immigrant visa interview at the U.S.Embassy/Consulate General in MOSCOW, RUS.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to cancel this interview. We will schedule a new interview appointment as soon as possible and notify you of the date and time. There is no need for you to take action at this time.
If you have any questions, please contact us by following the instructions at https://nvc.state.gov/inquiry.
Regards,
National Visa Center,
U.S. Department of StateHowever They NEVER NOTIFIED US of an Interview!

Our lawyer Got a response back from national Visa center. Since my wife and daughters are citizens of Tajikistan, We submitted to have our cases sent to Kazakhstan, Now they want an address and phone number in either Kazakhstan or Tajikistan.
-
Well today the Lawyer said she got "Somewhat of a response from the NVC. "The NVC will update the case and put it in the queue for Almaty, if we can provide an address and local phone # either in Kazakhstan or Tajikistan"
-
June 1st Our Lawyer sent emails to expedite our cases. No response. July 1st Due to the situation in Moscow, (as of Aug 1st 2021, NO VISA SERVICES,) our lawyer asked to transfer to Almaty, Kazakhstan. because Almaty is supposed to handle Immigration visas for citizens of Tajikistan. How long dose one wait until calling NVC and asking about the statuses of out cases? or will they move us to the bottom of the stack? We all are frustrated with all the waiting! we just want to be together!

One can hope but I don't see the US embassy being back quick enough.
I emailed Kazakhstan office they said they are not taking also but that was few weeks ago. I have not heard anything from Warsaw.
I also sent a expedite request for them to either approve it or send the case some place else if they are going to complete ignore us.
Our Lawyer tried to ask for Expedite in Russia on June 1st and we haven't heard from that one either.
-
Any Idea of how long it will take for the NVC to respond? The lawyer did mention that my wife and daughters are Tajikistan citizens. and the The Embassy in Almaty, Kazakhstan is supposed to handle cases for citizens of Tajikistan.
-
Sounds Good, I was just about to submit for a new Tourist Visa before the Covid shutdown, I'll have to get the dust off my application. Though Our Lawyer has, finally, as of the July 1st asked the NVC to transfer our cases to Kazakhstan. We should now be IR category since out 2 year anniversary was the 3rd.

Me (27M) and my fiancé (22F) met on reddit April 2020 and were on a long distance relationship talking / video calling daily . due to covid delays, she was able to visit last month for 2 weeks which we spent entirely together and in which we got engaged in the presence of her mother and my family . my question is , is it risky to file the i-129f after only meeting once even if we can prove that we talked daily for more than a year online and that it is a serious relationship since both our families are involved... we are not meeting again until between October/Christmas again cuz covid hit hard financially ... any help would be much appreciated
My wife and I got denied when we tried the K1 we only had met in person once before filing, the denial was supposedly "Lack of proof of valid relationship." Though we also had 23yrs age difference. we didn't think to printout screen shots of our chats on Viber and WhatsApp. to show we communicated daily. We are still waiting for the inter view on our CR1/2s actually as of Saturday they will be IRs.

I am a USC trying to reunify my family. Which is supposed to be a Priority case. I thought. The last line I put in bold stating "We will also provide Immigrant Visa processing for Priority and urgent cases"
-
Okay dated May 14th This was on the Embassy's web site.
Event: Temporary Resumption of Consular Services – The Russian government has informed U.S. Embassy Moscow of its intent to postpone the prohibition of U.S. Mission Russia’s employment of foreign nationals. Consequently, through July 16, U.S. Embassy Moscow will temporarily resume routine U.S. citizen services, including passport services, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, and limited notarial services. Please visit our website for instructions on scheduling an appointment. We will also provide immigrant visa processing for priority and urgent cases.
has anyone heard or seen anyone getting interviews/Visas since this was posted?
-
So our Lawyer should contact the Embassy or NVC, or both, so we can reunify our family!?
-
With the recent roller coaster due to the political strife between Russia and the US. there is this
https://ru.usembassy.gov/message-to-u-s-citizens-u-s-mission-russia-2/
it states they will provide Immigrant visas for Priority and urgent cases. What would take to qualify as Priority or Urgent?
-
With our Cases at NVC, and Our Lawyer is going to request them to send the cases to Almaty, Kazakhstan, will we get new Case numbers?

Okay, My Wife and Daughters, Finally made it here in August 2021. We are in the process of hopefully moving after the girls finish the School year. Will we still need to file a Change of address with the DHS/USCIS? if so, What is the procedure?
