I heard air fare is high around this time of the year. But my wife told me ticket price is 730 USD for her and 600 USD for our 2-yr-old daugher. I am sending her money today, and she will book the tickets right away.

I think that prices are not that bad at all. Except that my daughter is 2 yr old this July 6, so her price is 70% of an adult price. If she's less than 2 yr old, her ticket price is about 200 USD.

My wife went to the travel agents on Pasteur street (# 178 or 190?) right across from Phong Cong Chung So 1. I also bought ticket the before. Their price is pretty reasonable compare to other agents.

All they care about, as far as I know, is your last years income...so it seems to me that you would be fine. Just write a letter, maybe, explaining the reason you're now unemployed, as to why you don't have an employer's letter. I think you have nothing to worry about though.

I quit my Job on the last day of Dec06. My story is I went to Vietnam with a friend in January for 1 month where I met Amy. We kept in touch and so I decided to not look for a job because I want to go back and visit in april til June which I did. Now it's June and I am back look for a job which I hope to find soon.I already filed for K1 petiton on June 27. I really don't want to use my sister as a co-sponser because I heard that it may delay my process. Is this true? Does anyone have any information on co-sponser for Vietnam Embassy. I heard that the Vietnamese Embassy is pretty strictly on these issues...

At least you won't have problems with the affidiavit support form. It look like you are almost there. It's hard being away from her. I might have to go back in late december to see her. It's only been 4 weeks and I and dying. We had so much fun there. Took lot of pictures and memories together. Is there any service in Saigon that print out text docs for you ?

She needs to transfer the property ownership to her folks. Here is why, when your fiance leaves VN to come here, the local police will cross her name off the "Family Book" (So Ho Khau). The end! You can not own a property that your name is not in the Family Book.

Can her parents own the house if their Ho Khau is not in Dist 1, saigon? I think their Ho Khau is in Tien Giang or sometin' .

So she should sell the house before the interview ? or she still has time after she got the Visa ? when will the cross her name from the Ho KHau book ?

Plan on spending four days in Saigon, just to be safe. My wife and I got both the vaccinations and medical done in one day, though, it was a pain and it could have easily taken us two days to get them both done. Plan on one day for the vaccinations, one day for the medical, one day to get your results and one day just in case. Now, i heard that if you slip the man at the vaccination place 50 or 100,000vnd, you can get in and out in under 30 minutes. Plan on getting to all those places an hour or two before the opening times, or times they tell you, there will be a line. My wife and I got to the vaccination place 30 minutes before they opened and the place was already filled, no seats available. Also, make sure you bring two passport photos with you to for the medical. Our packet four never mentioned that part. And, Cho Ray will take American dollars, at least they took mine. Plan on some very long, hot, almost torturous days. Get it done a week or two before your interview. Good luck.

Let's say she got a visa, and currently she owns a house in Saigon, Dist 1 . Does she have the rights to keep her house when she's here ? or she must sell it or transfer to her parents before she goes to the US ?

ehhehe, that what you thought heh? Have you hear a lot of horror stories about wife working in the Nail shop? hahah, if you have not then, give it a shot then you will see. How your life will be miserable? Nail Shop is the worst environment to have your love one work in there. There are so many noisy and low class people work there. All they do are 8 and talk on other people business.. If you want trouble, then try it. For me, I will not do that. I dont' want another BS from those crowd of people. Other thing is the health of your love one, cuz those Nail Chemical is not good for the SKin and Health.

Home sickness will take time to cure it.

Yeah, I hear ya . I think I should run some porn sites and have her updated them for me on a daily basic. that way she won't get bored at work and making some good money for the family in NAM . she's been taken care of her family since she was 11 years old. poor chick . I will call her up tonight and ask her to take some computer class. like programming or web designs etc .. tons of money to be made online .

P.s maybe di buon ba'n is another option ....like buy the stuffs for cheap and sell them back for a higher price .
