medical reason. She has been sick for long time. We didnt think it would

be serious. now it is getting serious even though we are kind of close to receive IL.

We have a similar situation and I was about to make a request to expedite. But based on some comments it seems like we'd need to schedule our own interview with the embassy and the waiting time to schedule could be more depending upon the country. I am doubtful so I am trying to just patiently wait for an IL. CC Aug 2, Mumbai..

Those who scheduled their own interviews, can you please share your experiences with the waiting times?

NVC doesnt just expedite to the embassy they need to see if they can handle it and if your reason is valid enough for an expedite.

Some embassies are busy and some aren't. It's a double edge sword though. You might get approved then it's time to schedule there's no slots available.  You would be the one that's responsible to schedule not nvc

Can you schedule your own interview in that case? I believe one cannot schedule their own interview for immigrant visas online.

I sent an email to expedite the case and received the following response:

We are reviewing your request for expedited processing of this immigrant visa petition. We will notify you with the results when the review is complete. Please note that only the U.S. Embassy or Consulate has the ability to approve or deny expedite requests.

What does this mean? They will forward my case to consulate to make decision whether to approve or deny the expedite request? My case is CR1 and CC is August 6th, 2019

May I ask the reason you provided for the expedited request?

  4. Hi guys,

I got status update on my case from NVC to- Case FE Review note- Please submit every Form W2/1099 on Petitioner and Suppose submitted tax transcript or tax return.

I had submitted W2s and Tax transcripts for last 3 years all are showing Accepted. On 2018 tax transcript, it is filed as Married filled jointly, but I only have my (petitioner) W2 that I submitted as my Spouse is working in working in India and doesn't have a W2.

    Any one had similar experience?

All the other statuses are showing accepted.

Not necessarily. It depends on the number of slots they have and how many cases are waiting in line.

And no, its all throughout the month.

Bumping this question to you. You may have an Indian address :)

    Hi Everyone,

I am going through my CEAC process and have a question on Postal Zone/Zip Codes of address. Trying to enter a PIN code from India and the system is not taking it. Should I just leave it as Does not apply? Anybody experienced the same thing?

    Thanks!

  7. Hi Guys,

    Completed interview today.

Convenient hourly parking on the 3rd street. Paid $13 for an hour coz I was out before an hour.

Went through security, checked in at the reception, gave me a number, asked to wait.

While I was waiting, looking at the numbers on the screen, seemed like I was far ahead in the line but the IO came exactly at the appt time and called my number (from the right side door of the info-pass kiosks). The number didn't come up on the screen.

The interview was straightforward.  IO was very nice. 15-20 minutes total.

Only asked for the green card. Verified and gave it back.

I traveled 2 times after the since filling so had taken an updated form and gave the updated travel page to her. That made it easy for the officer to just insert it in the file.

I had traffic tickets listed, asked disposition proof of the most recent one.

Hope to hear about the ceremony soon.

    God bless America.
