  1. so no pictures or anything else other than the marriage license needed as supporting documents?
  2. Hello, my fiancee and I will be having our wedding soon. We plan on just having a small, courthouse wedding. We recently moved so we don't have any friends or family in the area to attend. What are the requirements for the wedding? Will we need witnesses? Do we need to have someone to take pictures of the ceremony?
  3. Thank you all for your replies. Will she need to have another medical exam done for the AOS? Also, can we start filling on the AOS form before we're married, in order to get the process going sooner?
  4. Thanks! Is there a certain time limit that we have after getting married to apply for the adjustment of status?
  5. How long after marriage do we need to apply for adjustment of status? Also, what are the steps to getting a marriage certificate? We tried to look these questions but keep getting different results. Thank you!
  6. Hi, my fiancee just went to her interview and they told her that we did not meet the requirements for the i-134. I don't make enough at all but we had a second form from a joint sponsor who makes about 21k which I thought met the requirements according to what I found online. https://mypathtocitizenship.com/income-requirement-affidavit-support-form-134/ (He has no dependents). However, the embassy said that we did not meet the requirements and needed a sponsor that has assets such as a house and a car. I still unsure exactly what requirements need to be met and why ours wasn't enough?
  7. For the I-134 once I am finished signing it and everything can I scan it and email the scanned document to my fiancee and she print them out? Or do they need to be the original copies? Also, for the supporting evidence for the I-134, it says that I need A signed statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institution that states when you opened an account, the total amount deposited for the past year, and the present balance of such account A signed statement from your employer on business letterhead that states the date and nature of your employment, salary paid, and whether the position is temporary or permanent Do I need both of these or will the employer statement be okay? I assumed that the bank statement was only for if you're using assets to meet the finical requirements but I want to be sure.
  8. I have a cosponsor, would they need the same?
  9. What documents do I need to include for evidence? Would my W-2, pay stubs, and employment info be good?
  10. I'm in college and am currently staying with family to save up money.
  11. but if i did I wouldn't have it for long enough to have tax papers showing it?
  12. I just recently started a full time job and even with it I don't think I make enough to meet the requirements. I asked my uncle for help months ago when we submitted the initial petition and he said he would think about it and get back to me. He finally responded today and said no. I'm running out of time and idk what to do. Our petition was approved and I still don't have a cosponsor. I just want to be with the one I love why does this have to be so difficult. 😓
