Invitation for all January filers to post in this tread. The purpose for us January filers to keep each others updated. Updated on NOA1's & NOA2's etc. If we know one of us gets a NOA2....then the rest of us have just a short time to wait.
1/22/07: I-129F sent to CSC
1/23/07: I-129F packet received and signed for at 9:45A.M.!!
I'm waiting for the NOA1
Don't you just hate it when things get this quiet. My goodness someone that filed in January please say something. This is killing me.

Ding! My check was just cashed.
I-129F was received on 2/13/07, so 10-day processing time.
What format is the case number in? I can see the back of my check online, but it looks like a bad fax and has numbers all over it.
I am not sure of what you mean case number but when I received my NOA1 I got a receipt number. It looks something like this WAC-07-067-51000. Hope this helps you.

Congratulations!!! So very happy for you.

And January filers will be the next.. Yuhooo!!
Yes the January filers will be next and I will be too happy of this one. I am already watching the December filers getting their NOA2's daily and it is too exciting. Having a hard time waiting.

We mailed our I-129F package to Vermont from Grenada on 12 Feb....they finally received it today... 23 Feb!
4-5 day express took a little longer than expected!
What a relief, we were worried it might get lost along the way.
Our fingers are crossed that we will get treated well by Vermont.
Sue

I dreamt of receiving my NOA2 the other night, does that count?
Gosh I like that one.
It was such a vivid dream and I was feeling good so as soon as I woke I rushed to my computer.... and alas *sigh*
I am hoping it's a premonition dream!
Maybe you could dream some more for all of us waiting for our NOA2's

Thanks much,
I figured as much (just making sure).
I'm more aware of the long term process - just not so much of what happens between now and the interview stage. : )
Best,
Max
Thank you for the question. I do understand how you feel. When I first came to this site I did not know what to do. It took me over a month just to post my first question. Remember everyone here is here for the same reason. We have someone we love that is not with us and we are trying to get them to us. Even people who have been on the site for a while ask some of the same questions that are already posted somewhere. If you have any other questions please be sure to ask. There will always be someone who is willing to show you a link to the answer or will give you the answer right away. Thanks for being part of our family here at VJ.

I am not all that sure but it seems I read somewhere where the visa was good for 6 months. If I find it somewhere I will send it to you.

Just curious if anyone has gotten touched lately for those going through CSC?
I am untouched also. But hope to become touched soon.

Sorry i think I typed this in twice. I am not sure how to use this site but i would like to know from those of you who are from particularly african countries feel about getting parental approval first. My fiance and I feel it is very important to us to have our family supports us. We are 30 and 33. Does anyone else here think it is important and at what stage should it be given. I have already filed for the K-1 we have the Noa1 but not the Noa2 yet. We sent it on Feb. 1st
It is very important that the family approves. Not saying that you can get married without it but most people want to have a meaningful relationship with their in-laws. As far as what stage I dont know this answer. I am sure you will do just fine. I was very nervous when I went to Nigeria to meet my fiances family. But when I went I just let them see me as I am. And they were more laid back than I was. Everything will be okay. I found that my Nigerian family just wanted me to be happy.

Welcome to VJ. I just asked the same question about 3 or 4 days ago. So we are riding in the same boat. Enjoy the site.

My fiancee's manila interview was Feb. 13th, and today, (Monday, Feb., 19th), I was here at here house in Tanza and signed for her visa and brown envelope. Time for her to resign from her job and go to CFO and then it is onward to the US on April 22nd. I hope everyone who is still waiting for their visa can just be patient and everything will work out. Thank you visajourney and all of the members for your help through all of this. I was just lucky enough to be here in the Phils since November, 2006, to help her through her part of the process.
Congrats, I wish you both the best.

Now this is an awesome thread. Very good information for those of us who are either marrying someone from Africa or are already married to them. I am going to be doing a lot of traveling to Nigeria and would like it to be a very easy entrance and exit. So it seems the best thing to do if it is allowed with your country to have dual citizenship. Thanks a lot for the info.
