It's a good thing they caught the TB in time to cure it. This is going to be a rough time but many have had to complete this regiment so it's something that happens. I would invite you to ask your Philippines specific questions over in the sub-forum where there are many of us that can answer any questions you may have along the way. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

@Greenbaum thank you as always for the excellent response.  My fiance started her TB treatment this week.  We are glad we caught this now and are getting her all better.  Luckily rest of family tested negative.

  2. Looking for some advice here.  My Fiance's medical came back with Xrays saying she has TB.  St. Lukes in Manila told her she had 2 options.  Move to Manila, and do 132 treatments for 6 months, or she can do it at her local hospital, but after the 6 month treatment, would have to do an additional 12 months.  We chose Manila.

The question I have is this, is there a way to get a second opinion?  The skin/blood test didn't come back positive, and her sputum tests usually take a month or two to culture.  Are they making us wait for no reason?   Can we do the initial vaccination in Manila, and the rest in US?

Our application is now at the Manila Embassy, and I think it is valid for a year.

Any advice on what to do would be appreciated.  Right now, we are just pushing forward and trying to keep our spirits high.
