Because you do not have a receipt, you have no proof you handed the documents to the secretary. Do you know at least her name?

    1. Yes, use that address, also include floor number and put Attention: insert the name of the Officer. So it will look something like this:

    USCIS

    Attn: [Name of the Officer]

    26 Federal Plaza, 8th Floor

    New York, NY 10278

In addition, I suggest you to include cover letter, where you again put their address with the name of the Officer and list of attached documents.

    2. If you walk to her office they may or may not let you see her. For example, she may be having an interview with another person. So you may end up just wasting your time. You can try to go there and explain the situation maybe they will let you see her.

    3. I have no idea. You may hear soon or it may take a few months.

You can call USCIS and ask about updates on your case. USCIS has by law 180 days from your interview to issue a decision. So just be patient.

Thank you so much Kiolas for the explanations. I appreciate it a lot.

You are not sending anything to a specific officer. At the interview you must have been told where to send documents to. If you don’t have that information you should call USCIS and give them your reference number and say that you were requested to submit more evidence but you don’t know where to. Everyone’s case is different and there are tons of service centers processing different cases so that’s information only USCIS will be able to give you because we can’t know where your case is and even if we did they might have a different address of where you need to send evidence to.

Thanks TNJ17 for your reply. I have the name of the officer mentioned in the N-652 form. And there is in item in the N-652 form says: "Send any questions about your application in writing to the officer named above. Include your full legal name. Alien registration number (A-Number), and a copy of your Form N-652"?

  3. Hello,

I took my citizen interview on 07/19/2018 in new york federal plaza. Then the officer (the person who did the interview for me) asked me to bring him some documents such as tax return and join bank account letter. How can I send him the document.

    1. Can I go to his office without an appointment?

    2. Or I have to send it through mail. If so where can I find the address of the officer who inteviewed me?

    Thanks,

    I appreciate any replies.

  4. Hey Kiolas,

No. She did not give me anything. She made a copy of the N-652 that officer gave me (the one which is attached above) and stapled it with the tax return + bank letter (because the officer suggested to leave at secretary).

    1. Ok it's good advice to send another copy via fedex to the interviewer. How can know the address of the interviewer? The interview was in "Jacob Javits Federal Building, 26 Faderal Building".

    2. Or if I walk to her office and give her thdle document hand to hand.

    3. Do you have any idea when I can hear back from them in case when she received the document one day after the interview (07/20/2018)?

    Thanks again.

Which state did you take the test? Is there any updates in your case?

  6. Hello guys,

I took the test yesterday 07/19/2018 in New York. The N-652 (see attached screenshot) shows that "I passed the tests of English and U.S. history and government" and "A decision cannot yet be made about your application." have been checked. The interviewer asked me to go print out the last tax return and grab a join account letter from my bank, then bring them back to me within 20 minutes (because I had it in PDF format). I went out to print teh tax return out and grab a join account letter from my bank (I stayed more than 20 minutes). When I came back, they told me she just left. It was 4:40 pm. The secretary asked me to leave it with a copy of N-652 and she will hand it over to her.

I'm wondering what will happen now!!?? Here some questions in my mind:

    1. How will I know about the decision now?
    2. Can I come back to her next week since she asked me to come back in 20 min to re-check document together?
    3. How long should this process take?
    4. Can I send her a letter/email as it's mentioned in the 4 item in the letter "Send any question about your application..." to ask her if she received the paper I left to her?
    5. I checked the status on online tool, nothing updated (it's still saying: Interview Was Scheduled).
    6. N-14 is not checked. Will not send it to me?

    I appreciate any replies.

    Thanks guys!

NOTE: I applied for NATURALIZATION AS TEH SPOUSE of a US Citizens.

My interview was on may 31st..... I got a decision cannot be made yet on your application, even though I passed the test (writing and us history) ....7 days later on June 6, I have an update on my case, stating that my oath ceremony will be scheduled, ..... 4 days later on June 10, I received a call from department of Homeland security (DHS) telling me that my oath ceremony will be on July 3rd at the place and time indicated 😊 and that I will receive a notice in the mail in about a week or 2,... I'm still waiting for the letter but at least I know when will be my ceremony! I was worry because I'm traveling by mid July, so now I have the time to do so, all I have to do is get a expedited passport which I can get in 24 hours.... 😊 I'm in NYC by the way....wish you luck!

  8. This is the N-400 case status today June 11th.

I'm wondering when I receive the letter and when the interview date approximately because I'm traveling and I'd like to have an idea about the period between letter notification and interview date.
