HAHA, that's funny
.. Yes, I actually have two documents when we got our marriage certificate.. one is of the marriage certificate + english translation.. the other document is more of a "proof of relationship" stating that she is my wife, and I am her husband (I don't know how this will be different from the marriage certificate).. but both of them are notarized and stamped/dated.. Seems like I am just worrying too much..
after all, normally we don't do this often.. not like interviews for jobs where you get to practice..
Good luck with your journey! May it be swift!

I have 12 more days, and my NOA 2 will arrive based on the timeline. YAHOO!!!
Good luck, console! I hope it's accurate and you get it. I was just checking this thread and randomly looked at a timeline on one of the posts and thought to myself "poor #######" cause it was so recent and I knew they had a long wait. Then I looked closer and realized it was my own timeline! lmao Not cool, man! Not cool! Seemed like longer since I started all this. The good thing is, I'm going to try to meet my wife in the Dominican Republic next month since that's one of the few countries that she can get to with little trouble. That gives us something to look forward to and then hopefully after that trip, it won't be much longer...at least according to the VJ timelines. So yes...I hope they are accurate!

The Ukraine call center telephone number is 044-207-7071.
If calling from the United States ..........the telephone number is 1-888-889-3780.
I think the KEV-1 form now appears obsolete... but the call center will advise I am sure....
I've seen this and it just makes me mad. Seems like they just can't resist ripping us off one more time. At the same time they began offering this call center they also stated they'd no longer receive appointments through emails, so we HAVE to use this call center and pay their ridiculous charges. It makes me sick they charge so much when I know the average salaries for Ukrainians. It seems like they really have no conscience.

On our last vacation i asked my fiance to bring with him all the evidence of our continous relationships, such as phone cards, money transfer reciept, some important pictures he said ok got it got it! then when were together i asked him wheres the stuff i asked him to bring he gave me one money transfer reciept yeah just one
, i said Never mind we still have plenty of time. We got apporoved last Jan.23rd then i started reminding him what he need to prepare from 134-affidavit of support to supporting documents, finally after two months of completing he said all is complete and ready to send me hmmm im impressed then i got his package last week, guess what whats inside the package?
affidavit of support-ok
used phone cards- 16pieces(this makes me really mad) yeah thats it for more than two years of phone converstaion, we talk everyday for 2 to 5 times a day however he only saved 16pieces
pay stub- one yesssssssss just one
letter from the bank- he sent me bank statement instead
employer's letter- he said he already have it on his application
i didn't ask him to send me money transfer reciept again to lessen his paperworks i just order to my bank to send me copy of remmitance from his account.
Now my interview is approaching and i feel im not yet ready, although we have lots of pictures together, hundreds of snail mail letters, emails, chat logs i hope this will be enough...Our application just got lucky they approved it even it was incomplete maybe USCIS just considered that he was currently deployed in iraq, but this time i wanted to make it sure that our papers is complete but i guess it will not goin to happen coz it takes 30days before his package make it to my home add.now i cannot do anything but to wait and see.
I love my fiance so much and i know he needs me specially taking care of his stuff but sometimes he gets me irrirated because of his attitude easy go lucky
btw i always told him to visit vj so he can have idea about the process but all he did is ask me everyday whats the news in vj? geeezzzzzzzz
Tell him, he better hope you do not get approved for your visa, because when you do make it there you are gonna beat his butt! lol It still sounds like you have a good amount of evidence. I've heard lots of people say that they just took a quick glance at it...like maybe 30 seconds. But as we all know each embassy and CO is different. Hope all goes well for you!

I got my notice of transfer to CSC this weekend.

I'm the USC and my wife who currently lives in Ukraine has had to move, so her address on the I-129F and I-130 is no longer correct. Who do I need to contact (I'm assuming at the moment USCIS) and how can I contact them to give them her new info? I'm thinking it will be difficult over the phone because her native language is Ukrainian and not English, so her address has non-Roman letters. Is there an email address that can be used to update this info? Thanks!

I've been checking USCIS website every hour of the day. Hehehe.
Think you're the only one, do you
Oh I constantly check the USCIS website...but worse than that, since I've already read everything on VJ that applies to me...I'm now reading all the stuff on VJ that doesn't apply to me too! lmao I'm just starved for information or something to get through this terrible waiting period!

I miss my WIFE!!! She lives in a terrible world where 85% of women cannot find work, and go for prostitution! I have to send her a lot of money every month.
I can't even tell you how hard it's been on my wife and I. To have to return home to the USA right after getting married and then not be able to see each other at all for so many months is a terrible punishment I wouldn't wish upon anyone. Thank God for Skype so we can at least hear each other's voices every day.

Thanks consolemaster! it is totally unexpected....and as someone in this thread said earlier "one of those freak cases", I guess....
If anyone, I thought yours would be the first to get approved at the VSC before mine. No worries....I'm sure it's right around the corner - you should get your NOA2 any time now...
Good Luck!
CONGRATULATIONS ULLUMANALI!!!That is very fast @ CSC!!! I'm super jealous, and happy at the same time. I wonder why I haven't got an approval notice since my timeline is the same as yours.
Congratulations! That gives hope to all us other poor people who are going through CSC! It CAN happen!

I am looking for some information about medical exams in Kyiv, Ukraine. We are filing for I130, so the medical will be a little different than for K1, but still... helpsmilie.gif
I would like to know the following
1. How long did it take to schedule an appointment? Is it a week time wait or more?
2. How long did the medical last?
3. What was done during the medical? Tests? General medical history? Any tricky questions asked?
4. What vaccinations did the doctor say were absolutely necessary and which ones were waved?
5. When did you get the results?
6. I know the embassy gives a list of things to bring to the medical. Did you need anything extra?
7. How long the medical is good for? I am trying to decide whether to schedule an appointment before we get an official notification from the embassy about our I130 approval. My husband got the case number when he applied and was told that the Adam Walsh check will take about 2 weeks.
Thanks a lot.
1) Depends on volume but she could have had it within a few days if she wanted but decided on a week later after call because she had to arrange travel into Kiev...
2) She arrived at 6 am to get in line... Clinic opened at 8 or 9. Exam lasted until about Noon or 1. Results suppose to be ready same day after 3 but she got them at 4:30.
3) Standard physical stuff (chest xray, blood and urine tests, breast exam, etc..). No trick questions I am aware of...
4) Embassy has list of required vaccinations for CR1/IR1 listed on website which is different than K-1. K-1 could receive any missing vaccinations or get booster (if required) on any of the required because will be needed for AOS but of course was optional at this time. Waived vaccinations typically based on medical conditions only.. ie... if pregnant then they will waive ones that are not good for pregnant women)
5) See #2
6) Vaccination Record, KEV # from Embassy, photos, passport (list from Embassy was complete)
7) 1 year.... KEV # is all that is required to call and schedule medical....
You rock, fwaguy. That's the most clear and complete information I've seen on this...it helps a lot!

LvivLovers,
No, they do not do this to make extra money. They do it to minimize cost and to minimize the risk that the approved petition or any of the file contents will be lost by unnecessary shiping and handling of the file back and forth between the USCIS and the DOS.
Yodrak
Just curious. Do you all think they do it this way just to make extra money? Because it seems to me it shouldn't matter where you complete this process. Why does it require a completely different path, forms, etc.? My wife isn't going to change into another person depending on where we do this interview. This whole process is just so dumb it's beyond belief. I just can't figure out if it was general incompetence that caused this or if it is intentional in order to either make more money or make the process more difficult and thus slow down immigration. I often wonder if that really is a goal of the government also.No. I didn't mean about the holding of the I-130s...I meant about having so many different forms, processes, and steps when we're all trying to do basically the same thing. I just can't understand why they can't have us fill out ONE form with all the information required, submit all the fees that apply at one time, and submit all required documentation all at the same time. Let us submit it wherever there is an embassy, consulate, or office that is closest or most convenient to us, and then do whatever they need to do internally to make it happen. I think it would be a heck of a lot more clear, a lot quicker, a lot cheaper, etc. There's no good reasons for this monstrosity of a process. I mean look at how much time is wasted once the I-130 goes to the NVC and we do the "mail dance" sending things back and forth one thing at a time. Even if we used all the same forms, fees, etc. why can't we just bundle it all up in one packet and send it to them? How much time, effort, and confusion would be eliminated? A much simpler process would be better for everyone.

I am very upset with them. My initial notice date was March 14. Now it's Apr 2 after the transfer notice. This will most likely delay my case by three weeks.
The immigration process is very well thought out and well executed....NOT!!!!
I've still got another 2 weeks or so before I get my notice from CSC that they have my I-129F so I'm in the same boat. I'm curious though...do you think they will go by our I-130 NOA1 Receipt date for processing, or do they go by this final I-129F transfer date? Anyone know?

Wow...like I said...this is an awesome forum.
Thanks so much for the rapid replies. Your posts made me happy i stayed awake all nite looking for a way to expedite this painfully, deliberately, slow process.
And as an aside...You helped me win a bet with my wife!
Devbit, you say that I should date the forms when I send them...let me ask you this, will it look odd to the NVC if they send me her forms on the 20th, I recieve them on the 24th...but mail them back on the 25th?
Cuz my plan would be to have her fill them out and have them waiting here when the NVC package arrives. I would then send her copies immediately. The NVC won't say..."How the heck did these get to Thailand and back so soon"? LOL. that is why I am confused about the date thing. Or are you saying I should wait a week, date them, then send them back.
Sorry if I am being redundant (or simple)...ZERO sleep late nite. Thanks again for your help!
Doc-cute, Do you think the NVC does not care one way or the other if the barcodes are on the paperwork or not? I ask because maybe they gave you a break and would prefer the barcodes in most instances. Thanks again for your reply!
I thought the barcode was only on a cover sheet. It's actually on each form?

Frank,
Once your K3 is approved and your wife is in the US you need to file for an AOS. You have the option of either CR-1 or K3. If she has a K3 means that you chose K3 over CR-1. Now when she is in the US you need to file an AOS. Hope this helps.!!
Hope someone can answer this:Once the K3 is approved and my wife is in the U.S. with me what is the process for the I-130 for the CR-1? Where does the interview take place? Here in the U.S. I would assume and not at the Embassy in my Wife's native country?
Thanks
Frank

In two days on April 13th PatientlyWaiting will be having her interview. she will then receive the visa approval she so richly deserves. 'knock 'em dead' PW.
Good Luck!!!!

Thanks fwaguy
fwaguy, I love your work! Very easy to get a sense of what's going on. I'm a K3 filer though...any idea if the wait times for I-129F approvals for K3 are in line with the I-129F approvals for K1?

Thanks for the info!

Congratulations! Which service center are you?
Edit: Doh, California. I can read;) I just get so used to looking at the signatures instead of the sidebar!
Congratulations! I keep telling myself one day this will be us! I can't wait to know what that feels like to get out of the CSC! lol

If she can't prove what innoculations she is supposed to have according to the requirements, be prepared that she will most likely receive them again. She needs documentation proof. That is the point of the medical exam, to make certain she is fully immunized and passes to be issued her visa before entering the US. I don't have the list of immunization shots on hand the embassy requires. I know my fiancee has it. I will ask her for a copy of them and let you know if you don't receive a list if anyone hasn't mentioned it here after I receive them.
Thank you,
George
My wife from Ukraine also doesn't know what vaccinations she has and doesn't believe her doctors have records, so she's probably going to need to get them again also. Can they do this at the time of the medical exam?
-
That's right.
It's just the government's way of trying to make this process as confusing as possible. Don't try to make sense of it, because you won't be able to. Good luck!
-
I'm also a 90 day-window hopeful. If it goes over the 90 days I'm hoping for... then we've got issues.
Here's to us ladies!
Or how about a T-shirt: "I survived the CSC." Or how about "2 months and still no touch!" Oh...I'm sure we could come up with so many! lol

I thought about this too. Personally, I think for the quickest results to this problem, they should without warning take all the families of every congressperson and send them overseas. In order for them to get back, they must go through the same process that we all go through. No shortcuts....no preferential treatments. Believe me, there would be some changes if this were the case.
Also, some simple re-design of this process could speed things up drastically. For example, you should be able to gather up all your documents, fill out 1 form for your particular situation, and send in 1 check covering everything. None of this back and forth mailing which wastes time. There is no reason for that. You should have to put your information in only once. They should then enter this information into a computer (or better yet have you enter it over the Internet). Then if they need copies or multiple agencies need to look at it, it's right there. Original documents should only be necessary at the time of the interview. They should be able to process people on the same day as long as all the documentation is there. And it should be the same documentation for every country or at least they should have a central place with instructions for every country showing exactly what you need. If there was any ability for companies to compete against the government, they would be out of business so fast it wouldn't even be funny. It's just sad.

Good news!
Now the wait begins!
I see this come up a lot and went through the same thing. I also got a failed delivery attempt notice and then it was picked up the next day. I hope some day VJ collects all these strange and potentially stressful little things about the process so that everyone knows what to expect from start of finish.
