  2. OMG, I can't believe how people can be so rude and ignorant! That teenage girl has no manners. And as for those Mexicans, they could've just asked your husband first before they made any conclusions. duh

Right after my husband arrived from Egypt, he snagged a job at a movie theater near our home. He requested they put "Moh" on his name tag because he was afraid of people seeing "Mohammed". Well, they printed "Mohammed" on his name tag anyway and one night, as he was taking tickets, a teenaged girl and her boyfriend walked to him with their tickets. The girl read his tag, "Mohammed? Oh my god! Are you going to blow up the theater?" Then she just squealed with laughter thinking it was the wittiest thing she'd ever said.

My husband has also had many Mexicans here confuse him for Mexican. He was in line at the grocery store and two Mexican men started talking to him in their native tongue. Mohammed told them "I'm sorry. I don't understand you." One of the guys became very irrate and accused him in English of being ashamed of his native tongue and being less of a man, and blah blah blah. Mohammed told him "Dude! I'm Egyptian!"

Never and end to it I guess.

  3. Except for the first touch of entering it into the system, I didn't get my first touch until day 100. So sit tight and relax.

    Hey there Kate,

  4. Hi Wong,

I understand how you feel. I'm from the Philippines with a Chinese lineage (I don't speak Chinese though). I'm working for an outsourced company and I always get discriminatory remarks from customers. I don't let their comments affect me because I know who I am. There's just too many close-minded people out there who judge right away. Some think that people from third-world countries are no good. Just remember, people can hurt you if you allow them too. Just hold your head up high :) Just don't let their comments get into you.

  5. Yes, it's never the same. As what my fiance told me, there's a dimension missing when it's you're both not together in person. I truly understand how you feel as all couples here in VJ also do. The waiting will all be worth it (L)...I'm so glad I joined this site because I know I'm not alone...It makes me feel better eventhough it's frustrating.

Is there anyway to speed up this process? I have been home 4 days and miss her so much. I cant sleep and all I think about is her. We have been talking on the phone and text messageing but its not the same.
  6. Hi Mrs. Berryhill,

  7. Hi Kevin, Sorry to hear about you and your lady. Since you posted this I've thought about it and read all the replies. My Sweetie and I have had a long discussion about this, and tried to put ourselves in your position. It is difficult and painful to even think about this situation happening to us. You see I cannot live without my Sweetie. If she would not move here, and that was the only reason, then I would move there but living without her is not an option.

There are a few rules I try to live by. One is to pick your fights carefully, don't be hasty to engage in any and every battle that comes along. When you do enter a fight, make damn sure you are willing to pay any price to win. Count the cost BEFORE you go into it, but also count what it would be like to live without the victory.

Another rule is: if it is worth living for, it is worth dying for. Three things, God, Family, Country, in that order of priority are worth livng and dying for to me. If my Sweetie told me the same news you have just received, and the only reason was she was scared to come the USA, then I would be on her doorstep as soon as possible. I would stay there until we worked it out or they killed me. As I said, I can't live without her, and don't plan to live without her. I would beg if that would do any good, I would beg her father, her brothers, or anyone else that I thought might make a difference. Because love is not love until it you give it away. Every day I want to make my Sweetie feel like the most wonderful, most beautiful, most fantastic lady in the whole world, because to me she is. Every day I want to make her the happiest lady in the world, those are my goals. I am not ashamed to say these things to you and the rest of the world, because I want everyone to know how much I love this lady, and will do whatever is necessary to be with her the rest of our lives.

I was looking forward to meeting your fiance as our interviews are on the same day as you know. Keep in touch, and hang in there. If you really love this girl, then fight for her.

    Dean

    Wow, Very well said Dean!!!

  8. I'm so glad I've joined this forum. It makes me feel I'm not alone and that, me and my fiance are not the only couple who are experiencing this kind of loneliness. It's helping my spirits also. Eventhough, I don't know anyone of you personally, I feel so much welcome here, just like a family. Thanks so much everyone.

  9. Thank you all for messages. I will try better to help you know more about me. I really think that is good picture of China. Did you take picture yourself? I also really like those flags everyone has. They are cool. I want to get one someday but I not sure they have one for my country. It is little country in coast of middle west africa.

My b/f lives in USA in state of North Dakota. I think that is near Canada. He is in air force military. I want to marry him so badly and cannot stand to be apart.

Where's Cotonou at? Sorry, Im kinda ignorant :P

  10. Hye Gigo,

You didn't write much about your situation but you should make up your mind. My fiance and I have been engaged for 9 months already and we just decided to start now on paperworks. It was my fault, I told him to wait but I'm now regretting coz we haven't submitted anything yet. We just decided to go for Fiance Visa. I wanna be with my fiance already but we now have to wait. :(

  11. Hi everyone,

My fiance is preparing photos of us to send with his I-129F application and we are having a difficult time narrowing the number of photos down to less than 25...is it ok to submit 25 or more photos of us? or should we exclude more? How many pictures have you submitted?

  12. Hi,

Thanks for all the reply you sent here. I just sent my documents to my fiance but he hasn't received it yet plus he hasn't prepared the forms to submit to USCIS yet coz he's dad is sick. Our estimate is for him to send it by March. I already signed my documents with the Manila address on it. I'm living with my sister here in Manila so if I go home to my hometown, which is in Cagayan de Oro City in Mindanao, there'll still be someone to receive my packet for medical and interview. My sister will still stay here in the same address. My fiance told me it would be better if I just take a vacation in my hometowm and come back again here in Manila so we don't have to submit address change. What dya all think? Is that a good idea?

  13. Hi everyone,

I'm concerned with my situation. I'm currently in Manila working but I wanna go back to my hometown when I turn 1 yr from my current job which will be on July. I'm planning to resign and go home by August 07. Will it delay paperworks if my address will be changed? I really wanna go home since I'm not happy staying here and I think I'll lose my mind. My fiance is worried coz he said it might delay things. What do you all think?
