  1. Question! I am currently self employed, and I recently realized that my fiancee won't have health insurance when she gets here and we get married. I am still covered on my fathers insurance until I'm 26, but she won't be included in that. I think I read that she can't qualify for Medicaid for like 10 years or something after she gets here right? Would the only option be to pay for her insurance with a private company? Or I guess I could get a full time job that would provide insurance, or work somewhere part-time that would give me a discount on insurance and keep being self employed as well. Let me know what you know! thanks.

    i-134 questions

also! When my father puts down his annual income, should it be the number according to the tax return last year? or a more current one in accordance with the letter from his work?
  3. My father and I are filling out our i-134 forms, he being my co sponsor. We are on part 3 where it is asking about income, assets, and real estate. He makes enough with his income where we wouldn't need to put down assets or real estate, so what should we put down? Leave it blank or write in none? thanks!
  4. Sorry, I looked for a I-134 section to put this in, but I couldn't find it. I am doing the K1 visa anyway so maybe this is ok, The I-129f got approved the other day, and I am currently trying to fill out the I-134 sponsor form to mail to Indonesia for her to bring to the interview. I do not think I make enough money to be the sole sponsor, so I am looking for a place to add a joint sponsor, but it's not making any sense to me. I read somewhere online today that maybe I can't do a joint sponsorship with a K1 visa depending on where I am sending it? I'm pretty confused right now. I could just fill out the I-134 form with my fathers information as my joint sponsor, and put his relationship to my fiancee as "father-in-law to be" or something like that, but I'm not sure. Please help 😐
  5. Got it in the mail today, just shy of 6 months since I sent it in. So, from what I understand, I need to send her the sponsor form to bring to the interview. Also, how will that be set up? I know it will be after the paperwork gets to the embassy in Jakarta in ~6week, but will they contact me or her about it? About how far out is it set up? Also also, will they tell her how/where to get the medical check up? Or is that something g she can do now? I have a lot of question of what I need to do now haha that letter I got today wasn't very informative, I'm assuming the next letter I get from the place in NH will have more info. Thanks!
  6. So my faincee is coming soon, (hopefully). She really wants her Mother and maybe her brother to come to the wedding, but that would be a lot of money on plane tickets and tourist visas. So I've been doing some looking at us just going back to Indonesia after we get married and start her Adjustment of Status, I've read some stuff online about how you can only get Advance Parole if it's an emergency, other sites say that can get it for a honeymoon. So would it be possible for us to get that AP? How long would it take? about 3 months? Any help would be awesome!
  7. So I sent out the i-129f packet last week, now I'm starting to look at the i-134. I do believe that I make the 125% poverty level, not by much, but just above it. The problem is, I have been self employed for the last 8 months, and before that, I had only been working for a few months because I was on a 2 year mission trip over seas. So my employment history looks a little confusing. I haven't really looked at the form a whole lot yet, but I am thinking I'll need my father to do a joint sponsorship with me just in case. If they ask for any proof of employment over a year ago, I'll have nothing. Also, where do I send the form to? I've been looking online and some people say I need to send it to the office here and others say just send it to the person I am sponsoring. I guess it can be different depending on what kind of visa we are trying to get, so for the K1 visa, what do I do? thanks
  8. So all of the Indonesian addresses are really long and don't fit well in the form, so I'm using part 8 for the address. (Not the dates or anything, just the address.) Do I need to write anything in the address part referring to part 8? Or just leave it blank? Also, do I need to refer to an attached piece of paper? I will be using a while sheet to explain how we met, do I just need to type "see attached" or something like that? Thanks!
  9. oh does it have to be the original paper for the intent to sign? because those things always take 6 weeks or something or get lost in the mail dan ya saya bisa kasih email anda ke dia nanti, pasti kami akan perlu bantuan nanti ketika dia harus diwawancarai, makasih!!
  10. So just use birth certificate instead of visa, and get the passport entry dates photocopied. no previous marriages or names, thank you
  11. Ok I am about done with the i-129f form, what else do I need to put in the package? I have letters and pictures and boarding passes as evidence of a relationship and that we have met in the last 2 years. I need a photocopy of my passport right? anything else? oh the check haha Also the 2x2 pictures of her and of me and the intent to marry forms. Can she just print it out, sign it, then scan it back in and email it to me? Or does she have to send it via snailmail? anything else I'm missing?
  12. Another question " Answer all questions fully and accurately. If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been married and the question asks “Provide the name of your current spouse”), type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise directed. If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none (for example, “How many children do you have” or “How many times have you departed the United States”), type or print “None,” unless otherwise directed." So there is this paragraph that says for every question I don't need to answer I need to type or write N/A, but on the example form they just left it blank. Which one is correct?
  13. Quick question, When I am filling out the indonesian addresses, should I put the addresses in english or indonesian? Indonesian uses roman alfabet, but im wondering if I should put "road" instead of "jalan" or "south" instead of "selatan" example: enlgish: Jalan senopati no 115, Jakarta Selatan or indo: Senopati Road number 115, South Jakarta Thanks!
  14. OK! got some more questions about the I-129f form. 1. What's the difference between my postal code and my zip code? 2. What do I put at my province? I live in Tennessee, so I just leave it blank? 3. I don't know if anyone here would know the answer to this, but from 2015-2017 I was in Indonesia serving as a missionary. We moved around every few months. We DID have a "mission home" in Jakarta, it was like a center place where all our mail was sent and where we technically lived for those 2 years. So would I just need to put this mission home address as a place I have lived in the past 5 years? Or do I need the the addresses of all the places I stayed at? 4. Confused about question 47, What action did USCIS take of Form i-129F (for example approved, denied, revoked)? I leave this blank right? because I haven't submitted it before? I'll have more later~ thanks
  15. just have some questions... I know I'll have a lot. Do I need to fill out anything for 1 and 2? I don't believe we have an alien registration number or USCIS account number. Also, Do I leave 5 blank because it's a K1 and not a K3? or do I select no? Thanks!
