Did they tell you they were "scanned in" when you called? I called last Week and they said they received them on July 3rd but the tracking number said they arrived on July 2nd so I wonder if July 3rd is my scan Date?

Hmm they told me they were "put in the system" on July 2nd. When I called before July 2nd, they couldn't see my documents, even though I knew they had been delivered by DHL, so it's possible they meant scanned in. You can always call again and ask.

This is how my case has been as well. I went back through the different threads, and it seems that this is the norm for everyone going to the Jerusalem embassy. I called NVC and asked about it, and she said they don't really have control over the CEAC site, so it's best to just call or wait for the CC email.

When you all are referring to the status "at NVC"- where do you see it? Is it the summary portion on the top right hand side when you're logged into the CEAC system?

You need to log in to this page: https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Just as a note though, mine has always said At NVC, but it's still being reviewed, and I've read others who say the same thing , so I don't think that's 100% definitive in every case.

Hey guys.. i called nvc again... (i know i have -100 patience) :(.. they told me that my document has been scanned into the systen yesterday and they need upto 6 weeks to review. I hope i get cc sooonnn..

You inspired me to call again :D

20 minutes on hold but totally worth it, because ours was also scanned in yesterday. Now the wait begins. Praying we get quick CCs!

This was what my status said when my case completed. It changed from submit required docs to this so it may be case complete for you. They may have just decided to work on it as soon as they received your documents. Call on Monday to verify. Looks like a good news to me.

I really hope that's the case! I was settled in for a long wait. I'll try not to get my hopes up too much!

Mine goes some thing like this :

    Next steps:
Gather the documents below and send them to us in one (1) envelope or email. Instructions on how to send us your documents are online at https://nvc.state.gov/submit. Do not send these documents separately or it will delay your case processing time.
If you recently submitted documents, we may still be reviewing your files. Please check back later.
    1. Step 1: Your Petitioner selects and complete Form I-864 (Affidavit of Support). (See detailed instructions)
    2. Step 2: Your Petitioner collects photocopies of financial documents showing income level like their federal U.S. tax return, W-2 form).
    And so on...

ill also call tomorow... when was your mail delivered. Ours was del. at 11:30 am on 29

Ours was roughly about the same time - maybe just slightly earlier if I remember correctly, I don't have the tracking info on me right now.

We will see what they have to say tomorrow. Hoping for a speedy CC for us both!

Then it might be CC but seems not to be possible... mine at this site says “submit required docs”

    That seems crazy!

Mine has "Case at NVC" with this paragraph below "Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online at http://nvc.state.gov (English) and http://nvc.state.gov/espanol (Spanish). You will find contact information for NVC at http://nvc.state.gov/ask."

Does yours also have that paragraph?

I'm trying not to be too hopeful, because I realize this is so unlikely.

I will give them a call tomorrow for sure and see what's going on.

  8. Hi everyone! Lots of luck to all this month!

We submitted our documents last week - DHL confirmed that they arrived on Friday morning (6/29)

I checked my CEAC status for the first time today, and it says "Case at NVC". If I remember correctly I've seen people in past threads take that as an indication of a CC, but obviously that can't be right in this case.

I'll call tomorrow to check that the documents were received, but am I just remembering incorrectly about the case status thing?

  9. Hopefully my last question for this part of the process:

Our sponsor has been self-employed for years, and semi-retired. His income comes from self-employment, SS, a rental property, and capital gains.

His income in each of the last three years is more than enough to meet the requirements.

My issue is what to put for his "current individual annual income" on the I-864. The problem is that his income can vary from year to year, so while I can say for sure from the SS and rental property alone that it will be above the guideline (and I'll be including a Social Security confirmation letter and a copy of the rental agreement), it's hard to say what exactly it will be.

Speaking with an immigration lawyer friend, he felt it would probably be fine to put the total income amount on his 2017 IRS transcript as his current individual annual income. The thing is that his income in 2017 was particularly high, higher than the preceding 2 years combined. Is the NVC going to give me problems about proving that income? Obviously he will not make the exact same amount as last year, we just thought it would be better to put a number that has a clear origin rather than trying to guesstimate a technically unprovable income for this year.

We also plan to include a letter from his accountant confirming that he has consistently maintained a stable income, and that, pursuant to his history, it's their belief he will continue to do so.

Any thoughts? Is the 2017 income a good number to fill in there, or is it likely to lead to issues?

I'm frustrated that this is such a point of stress for me, when the social security and rental agreement alone will be more than the guideline.

    TIA!

  10. I'm getting ready to submit all of our documents to the NVC, and I have a question specific to Israel.

We've requested my husband's Israeli police report be sent to the consulate (as that's the only option), and we have a receipt for our request.

I was planning to send a copy of the receipt to the NVC and indicate that the police records have been requested. For other Israeli applicants - is this how you went about this? If so, what did you mark for the police documents on the cover sheet - Included (because I'm including the request receipt), Not included (because the actual police report isn't included), or N/A (because you can't actually submit the police report to the NVC, it must be sent directly to the consulate).

Any input would be appreciated :)

You need either tax return plus w2... making sure all attachments like 1099 are also included.. OR

    tax transcripts

Which ever way you go, the one you send is marked attached/ included etc.. and the other marked as N/A

transcripts are preferred because they will automatically include all w2 1009 etc associated with that return, and is the onfile data the IRS has for you, rather than a piece of paper that can just be filled out...

Fantastic, thank you so much! Now to try to get my hands on those transcripts...
