My husband's visa category is IR5, his son is the petitioner. He is doing the 6 steps now... His son has been living in US for more than 20 years, he was very small when he went to US.
The last time they see each other was less than a year ago in Colombia. Any additional advise for the interview.
    Thanks!

As long as your parents bring all the necessary documents to prove your relationship, the Consular officer will not ask many hard questions.
    Those documents include:
    - Original birth certificate (as old as possible). They may ask question about it if the birth certificate was renew or registration date was far from the day of birth.
    - Any documents shows your relationship, which include your name and your parents' name. As many as possible.
    - All the old photos show your history of relationship.

The questions they may ask your parents including (but not limited to):
    - When did your son/daughter go to the US? How?
    - How many times did your son/daughter return to your country to visit you?
    - When was the last time your son/daughter visit you?
    - Do your son/daughter call you often? When was the last time he/she call you?
    - Did you go to US to visit your son/daughter? When? How long? (if your parents went to US to visit you before)
    - Do you have many children? Is your son/daughter the oldest or youngest among your children?
    - When was your son/daughter marry? How many children of your son/daughter?

Sometimes they only ask 1 question and ask to see 1 pic, sometimes they ask several questions like 5, if they feel that the proofs are not enough.
Just tell the truth and calmly, do not nervous, angry or worry, everything will be fine.

Yay! Super happy for you. I knew it, they are crawling so slowly through the dates, but you were in that next chunk to be scheduled for sure. Start looking at details for trip-planning!

Filling for my wife and step child
    - On March 22 2018 I got the email from NVC stating that they have received all the requested documentation for my wifes case.
    - On April 18 2018 I got the the same email but now for my stepchild.

    Questions.
    1. Will the interview date be the same for both cases (my stepchild is a minor)?
    2. When do you think I will be receiving the interview date (Embassy Ciudad Juarez)? I read that they usually take two months to send the interview date.

Thank you so much in advanced for the support.
